No Spidey suit that doesn't have a fat red spider symbol on the back can be called flawless. =)

What I meant is that ruffling the feathers of collectors because you're selling your toys for less money than they paid for them isn't a valid reason to refuse to reissue them.

Of course it all depends on their contracts with Marvel but it seems like leaving money on the table with what many figures go for on the secondary market. Hell, if they released full sentinels for $75-100 a pop they would sell out.

Considering the MU Sentinels, which are incredibly well-done and fairly comic-accurate, ended up being reduced in some parts of the country to $15 or so, I'm not so sure.

yea but if the figure can sell on the secondary market for lets say $90 even if they re-released the figure they should atleast mark up the price to like $30-$40 depending on the figure so they make the profit for having to go back reproducing them .

$40 I can see. $75, not so much.

I will agree with you here, Squeezeplay. To me, that Magneto that they put out was pretty "meh". It's not the worst figure I have ever seen, but it's not my favorite (which is why I'm working on a custom Magneto now).
And personally, I wish Jubilee looked more like her classic self. Just a black jumpsuit with a yellow jacket didn't cut it for me. I know Hasbro is making more recent versions of characters, and that's fine. I don't expect them to start doing everything that I want all of a sudden haha.

But I think most collectors agree with us here. Classic Jubes over "Vampire" costume, and a better body for Mags than that FO Punisher base. It makes sense to give collectors what they want. Higher sales, even if they need to put Jubilee in a different wave so it's not 3-4 females in one.

I think a case could be made for it being a term that has had its definition change over time, much like "fathom", "queer" and "ironic" (and yes, I did Google some words to help me out with that) :D

Missing the point though, that "fathom" isn't even related at all to one of it's definitions. "Queer" is just an odd case, because it's a case of someone using a term to mean what it really means but as a pejorative, and then it being adapted to also have that as a second, more innocuous meaning (through being "reclaimed").

Ironic is a good example of what I'm talking about. Most people who use that term may not even know that they're using it wrong. They're using it to mean "coincidental," which should be corrected.

"Sentience" is another example. The meaning of that word has never actually changed, yet most people still use it in place of "sapience." It needs to be corrected.

"Buck" though, isn't a case of a completely unrelated word being used to mean something else, like fathom. It's a case of something that already has a meaning related to "body" or "action figure" being used inappropriately.

It would be like me saying "fox" instead of dog, and then everyone starts calling domesticated dogs "foxes" and many people, who don't know the difference, take it up. That's already happened btw, with "possum."

Also, why is Black Panther bulletproof?

... Because his suit is made of Vibranium?

Does that make spidey a walking vibrator?

ASM2, horrible film but a terrific costume for Spidey.

Black Panther's suit is most often made of Vibranium or some other sci-fi super-protective crap.

That's a metal, but okay. I guess that makes sense. He could weave the vibranium into whatever his suit is made out of?

No, I heard the sound. It's still a silly, and redundant concept. Why is that even a necessary feature? What purpose does it serve, other than articulate comic book eyes in the form of a technological shutter? All that would do is restrict Spidey's field of vision. Arguing that it has a HUD feature would be even more silly AND completely impossible.

Watch the trailer again and listen closely. Spider-Mans eyes aren't animated like deadpool. When his eyes get smaller it makes a tech like shutter noise. I'm guessing it's going to be a suit that Tony makes for him. Something along the lines of:

"Why are you running around in that kid, I got something bettr for ya"

If I remember correctly from past interviews, at this time Peter has only been Spider-Man for just under a year. When Tony finds him, he's probably in some rag-tag unfinished costume and Tony makes this one for him with some tech improvement since that's what he does best. I'm very happy with the way he looks and cant wait for a figure of him

Really didn't know that, so basically they're introducing Spidey that way into the MU that's none Fox related, cool.

Nah I like it too.

Other than that dumb black stripes on his arms and boots it's fine. I just wish they would've saved his reveal.

Yeah you know he's in the movie but knowing he's there and seeing him are two different things.

Yeah, I totally agree. Would have been a nice reveal in theaters, and I would be less likely to nitpick it in the theater.

Maybe it's some mechanism that helps Spidey see over longer distances?

Dr Kain 03-10-2016 05:01 PM

Wow, THAT IS THE BEST SPIDER-MAN COSTUME IN LIVE ACTION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They could also work to limit the exposure to bright lights, if, say, Electro were to throw a bolt of lightning around. It would be very bright, but the eye shutters would limit the amount of light going to Spidey's eyes and save his eyes from damage :D

Let's just wait and see cause if it's not some tech thing, that looks quite lame.

But he's standing right in front of everybody!

Black Arbor 03-10-2016 05:26 PM

Guys, guys, guys... who cares? It looks cool!

hasbroherofan 03-10-2016 05:44 PM

If Hasbro eventually does an MCU Spider-Man Legends figure, I think the current Ultimate Spider-Man/Miles figure repainted and with a new head sculpt would work.

Jcon 03-10-2016 05:58 PM

There are 4 types of people on the internet right now
1. I dont like Spider-mans costume...it's animated... I dont like the eyes..
2. Why is spider-man a kid?
3. Batman vs Superman is better
4. (ME) SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!

The way I see it, the costume is GREAT. Just because Greenlantern failed at it, doesnt mean that every animated costume is destined to fail too. His eyes work for me, they are clearly robotic and if anything, this is probably the closest to the iron-spider/Tony Stark influenced costume that we will get at the moment. Spider-Man is supposed to be a teenager, not some 24yr old playing a teenager, which is something that always bothers me about highschool related movies. I am personally happy and thankful. NOW PLEASE BRING IN a MCU LEGENDS SPIDER MAN!!! (or I'll just use the upcoming new Spider-Man mold)
