Heads up. If you have a Meijer by you they might be having a sale. Mine has buy one get one 50% off on nearly all of their Marvel toys. Just snagged Beetle, Morbius, an extra Reilly Spidey to keep as Spider Carnage and a replacement Scourge for $60. Surprisingly, the only figure besides Venom missing from the Spidey wave was Jack.
@Trivial No arguments on the gummy feel of the Nova figure. It definitely had its flaws such as the often misplaced or misprinted decals used on the backs of the hand armor. It was still nice to see that a figure and character that many thought (even read an article that stated nobody cares about Nova in a GotG movie review) was more B list sold so well. I also have had a feeling the next GotG wave may be more comic than movie based. @Starlord67 Hopefully Mantis will be done well. I have a strange love/hate feeling toward the GotG movie. I hated how they portrayed the Nova Corp and was not a big fan of the treatment of Yondu and Ronin. However as a whole the movie was still fun. My personal hope is for an actual Cosmo in the next film and not just some dog in a suit that they have licking The Collector's face. An even decently articulated Cosmo figure would open up so many fun Cosmo/Rocket posing options too. |

I also find it amusing that an article would say nobody cares about Nova because frankly "nobody" cares about the vast majority of characters unless they're familiar with the comics. Within the realm of comics Nova actually saw a notable increase in popularity during the mid-to-late 2000s as volume 4 sold well for a comic and received mostly positive feedback. I could just as accurately say nobody cares about Moon Knight or the Inhumans yet both are rich in content and ripe for proper live action treatment. Hell I know nobody cared about the Guardians of the Galaxy before they got a movie, even in comic reading circles they were generally on the far edge of awareness with all three previously mentioned characters/groups surpassing them. |

I mentioned the article specifically because I found the statement a prime example of the general ignorance of many who comment on comic based culture. Everyone has more fringe characters they like. Take comments from earlier this weekend about Deaths Head 1 and 2. I know virtually nothing about them and could really care less but others love them. However, I am not so naive as to believe my lack of knowledge makes them bad characters or ones "nobody likes". I am also eagerly awaiting the return of Richard Rider and it may be one of the few events to get me to read current comics again. |
I'm very eager to see the Legends Mantis. She's been one of my favorite obscure Avengers for a long time, so I was thrilled to hear she'd be in the Guardians sequel.

ooh Mantis. Yeah, I'd buy her. She's not a high priority but I would definitely buy her. I'd buy almost any female character they released and certainly any classic female Avenger.

My updated MCU collection.. Gotta get me a Gamora, Drax, finish Groot, Falcon Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, the newest Iron Man, Giant Man BAF, Red Skull and Loki.

I actually like getting figures of characters I've never heard of before. I've been out of the loop with comic books for a long time now (I do wanna get back into it but I wouldn't even know where to begin lol).
I like getting obscure characters because it exposes me to new characters. For example, I knew next to nothing about Misty Knight before getting the Legends. I researched her since I liked the figure so much and I think she's a pretty cool character, especially being an African-American character. |

Like the custom work on the Ant Man helmet. |
Any news on the X-men wave??? I really hope we see it released after the Giant-man wave, and not the "Fall" as was previously reported. This is the first wave in awhile that I wouldn't actually mind getting every figure!

It tends to vary Jcon. If there is a movie scheduled, you can usually expect a movie related wave around the same time. For instance, we can fully expect the first Civil War wave (believe they are doing 2) to drop maybe around a month before the movie.
They also tend to drop the Cap/Avengers/Iron Man (interchangeable) waves and a Spider-Man wave around the same time so it is possible we will see another Spidey wave around Civil War as well. Those seem to be the two running wave groups with others thrown in based on movie release. Exclusives are a whole other beast and then there's the SDCC set. |
TRU 2 pack Deadpool & Warpath!!

Finally got my hands on a nice ML, TRU exclusive 2-pack, Deadpool & Warpath.
Im surprised I was the ONLY one that bidded on this on eBay!!?!? Now I'm debating whether or not to open it? I have a few, opened X-Force figures (Wolverine, Fantomex & Deadpool) that could use Warpaths help, lol... |

I gave my movie black widow the batons from Hellcat and now she holds them much better.
I'm tempted to get rid of all of the blue lines on my black widow and give her a head swap for a more comic accurate head, like Hope Summers. She'd look like Phil Noto's Widow. |
The new Sub Mariner figure looks great!! Found pictures on another site.. I'm really excited about adding him to my X-men line up.

Oh, and not a fan of Eco Warriors Iron Man. |
Not sure what's going on with that two-pack...they both look like War Machine but one is like...I dunno, "Predator Vision" War Machine.
Also not sure why War Machine is sporting a techno cricket bat, I mean, I've seen it in concept artwork and stuff but it just seems kinda redundant. |

That new Namor looks great! I'll pick him up for sure! The Iron Man/War Machine 2 pack is going to be a pass for me however.
