Yeah, I haven't found any Black Panther preorders anywhere.

Seamus McSeamus 03-24-2016 11:22 PM

That's nice.

Joe Moore 03-25-2016 05:26 AM

Domestic violence is not something that should be joked about. I've removed the post and those responding to it.

Great set up & posing! Did you modify the hips on the Spider-Man figures?

Dr Kain 03-25-2016 07:54 AM

Oh man, those Spidey pics are amazing. I wish I could do something like that myself.

TheBlueMarvel 03-25-2016 07:55 AM

@nilocomic
Thank you. No, I didn't modify the hips. I'm not a custom making or modifying guy. I generally don't have problems with Pizza Spidey's hips. They are tight/limited but still hit the postures I have in mind. The most difficult thing for me to do, in these set-ups, was balance Ock on two tentacles leaving the others free.

It's great that you didn't have to and could still get such dynamic poses. I modified mine just to get a little more flexibility, but it was a pain.

What stands are these? I bought some similar ones off ebay but god are they cheap, They cant even hold Spider Gwen up and if I try to tighten the screws the plastic chips.

Very nice Blue Marvel!
I like how you attached both webs at the same fictional spot.

How has that Hobgoblin been treating you?
I really like the way he looks, but I just don't enjoy posing him that much.
I myself am looking forward to the classic one we saw at NYTF.

TheBlueMarvel 03-25-2016 03:15 PM

@DarkToyLord
LOL Thanks, man! Been a minute...I think a few of us have taken up the path of the "lurker" on these threads. An ill wind's been blowin'...lol Hope all is well with you and your fam, B! Glad to see you back on!

Edit: shit man, I didn't see your edit until after my post. I cannot tell you how many friends and I commented that it felt as though a member of our family had passed. Very sad over here...R.I.P. Phife Dawg.

@daetrin
Thank you! Honestly speaking, Hobgoblin is pretty limited. I'm also looking forward to the new release. I'm actually kind of surprised the BAF is as popular as it is given the limitations. I can get him into suitable poses, but there's a diminished "fun-factor"...

@nilocomic
Kudos to you. After modding my original Xbox, I'm far too lazy to mod anything else. If I can't get it to do what I want out of the box, then it wasn't meant to be.

@Jcon
Obitsu stands...likely the ones you are complaining about. Bought 15 (I think?) and I'm down to 7. Takes a light touch and creative balancing skills...

@Dr Kain
Thank you for using "amazing" in your compliment...apropos for Spider Man. You can do something like this. It just takes a little bit of time and some patience.

warmachine6 03-25-2016 03:24 PM

need more hobgolins in there to work better IMO
Awesome pictures though felt very Stop-motion

Boy Blunder 03-26-2016 09:30 AM

TBM, you are killing it. That last set also makes me lament our lack of a Titania and a newer She-Hulk.

TheBlueMarvel 03-26-2016 09:50 AM

@Boy Blunder
Thanks, BB. I like the three She-Hulks we've gotten, but we do need a new one...and on a better sculpt than that Red She-Hulk. Titania? Most definitely. Once they made Thundra, they should have immediately begun casting a mold for Titania.

What I really lament is that we still don't have a Hasbro Hulk that's better than either of these Toy Biz Hulks (or "Face Off" Hulk).

Agreed, on all counts.

A Hulk with the approx. size of the FO Hulk but with a great new all-around sculpt and the new *good* Hasbro articulation (ab crunch, bicep swivels, etc. but also capsule shaped thighs, new ankle rockers, etc.) would hopefully satisfy most people.

Harbinger 03-26-2016 05:37 PM

I dont see a need for a new shehulk....i have my blob wave one and shes damn near perfect for me.....but a new hulk like squeezeplay said would be awesome. I wouldnt say no to a rick jones a-bomb and Thunderstrike either.

I have the Blob wave version too, and I love her, but let's face it, some additional articulation wouldn't hurt. Neither would some swappable fists.

I don't really like that Shulkie, mainly because of the softer plastic and the lack of ankle rockers (but I also don't like the smileyness of the face). But I hate the new "zero-degree" hip articulation on the ShRulkie body. I wish they would make a new lower body at least and do Shulkie on that, or possibly a total all-new sculpt.

I would love a nicely scaled A-Bomb and Thunderstrike, preferably after they do classic Thor on the Hyperion body and then Thunderstrike.

On this i do agree. She needs a thumbs up fist hand....dunno why but she just does.

Kirathis 03-26-2016 09:10 PM

@TBM
WHOA! That Spidey setup is epic! Fantastic job as always my friend. I was wondering where both you and DarkToyLord ran off to.

@Jcon
The Obitsu stands are pretty versatile but VERY lightweight. It takes some creative counter-balancing at times to get them to work. TBM is a master with them for sure. If you decide to buy more though, look into Hobby Link Japan. They are dirt cheap compared to Ebay if you buy enough to offset shipping. The price is just over $2US and when I bought 10 they came out to about $3 each. They are eternally on back order but still ship relatively quickly.

Robb 03-27-2016 06:02 AM

@Kirathis
Thanks, buddy! I was still posting on this website. I've just been posting sparingly on other threads.

@Squeezeplay
The only thing I would add to your Hulk recipe is a brand new sculpt for the fig. Reuse of any previous Hulk/Blastaar limbs (or parts in general) would be unacceptable. They need to go "bigger" on their design of the Hulk's musculature. The Hasbro two-pack Hulk (the mold for Red Hulk) had the right idea, but ended up a bit too cartoonish in its final presentation.

@Robb
We can always use new pictures, breaks up the monotony. Nice job!

Macabre Marvel Team-up appreciation...
