Over the course of the interview Kruger - who also wrote Transformers: Dark of the Moon and co-wrote Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - explains some of the decisions that were made in the creation of Age of Extinction, such as the decision to use an older human lead with Mark Wahlberg. The key factor that a lot of online news outlets have homed in on, though, is the one thread that director Michael Bay has repeatedly said "no" to when it has been pitched by Ehren Kruger, which is the use of the planet-sized and planet-eating baddie Unicron. Unicron, while he's been talked about, has been put back into the toybox because he's just too big to do until they can find the right story - or a way to make him make sense.
