well with time all these figures are usually easy to find just once again takes time. i recall taskmaster and a few from the past wave were hard to find now i see them all over the place.

I haven't seen Taskmaster here more than once and had no money to buy him that time. Any interest in trading me one from your local store for something I have on my haves list?

Sorry for the mind-numbing blandness of the picture, but I wanted to give a clear comparison in height between the characters.

So that's Captain Marvel's feet for the Scarlet Witch, and White Tiger's lower legs for Emma Frost.

Spyne98 04-15-2016 06:01 AM

^^Look good Daetrin

I love that figure, but I will say that there's something about it that feels like it could've been done...better, I guess? It's not any specific thing that I can point out, just a general feeling of 'it's good, but it could be great.'

But hey, it's leagues above the Toy Biz Wanda.

SymbiSpidey 04-15-2016 10:31 AM

So I got my Civil War Wave 2 figures in. They all look pretty nice...

....until I snapped off Iron-Man's wrist peg trying to get him to do a repulsor blast. There's barely any range in that wrist and I guess I overestimated it. I will say thank goodness it was just Iron-Man and getting a replacement won't be too difficult or expensive (just bought another one for $16, at least I'll have extra effect parts!). If this happened with Black Panther, I think I would curl up into a ball and cry.

En Sabah Nerd 04-15-2016 11:15 AM

So after a couple of weeks of being taunted by an armada of like ten or eleven Jack-o-Lantern and Morbius figures and then twelve Speed-Demon and Beetle figures just at my Wal-Mart alone I got lucky at like two in the morning and scored Venom on Amazon for $21 prime. What's almost worse than my Wal-Mart's new clone army is that my local Toys R Us has gone through like 4 or 5 cases of the Cap'n/Red Onslaught wave but the Spidey pegs are drowning in Misty Knights and White Tigers, I think Taskmaster has been almost common for me.

I like it...but from the knees down it feels like rob leifield designed it.

that is probably the most negative thing you could possibly say about a character's rendition

Addition: HA@ the transparent Vision's bare feet ..never noticed that... was it in the comic like that?

I wouldn't look at it as a negative comment. It's true. That Scarlet Witch figure had big ole child bearing hips, and freakishly tiny feet on which to stand on.

White Vision was indeed barefoot during most if not all of his run in that costume if I remember correctly.

I don't think it's the Scarlet Witch I was hoping for. It always seemed an odd mix of classic and modern. But it fills a hole in my heart ... erhm collection... yeah that's what I meant...
Besides, after passing on the Toy Biz wanda for so many years, I wasn't ready to pass on her again.

I laughed so hard when I first heard her lovingly referred to as Scarlet Mitch. ;)

Kinda like I felt when I looked at the table in front of me where a leg-less Emma Frost was staring at me and a thought flashed through my mind: "What the hell am I doing to one of my most expensive to replace figures?!?"

En Sabah Nerd 04-15-2016 04:55 PM

While I too really like the latest Scarlet Witch figure I'd say her problem is that (while accurate to the costume) her heels prevent her from normal standing poses, she has to be in some wide magic stance utilizing the cape as support.

Not to mention most of the loose ones ive come across has wobbly knock kneed syndrome. Sculpts improved. Qc, joint stability and paint apps not.

her character is able to fly, why not put her on a flight stand, i mean out of all the female avengers figures made she is well atleast for me the most well known one from avengers. and is a great figure in display, my problem would be having the women that tie in with thor (i know next to nothing about them) and in display they just look a mess compared to the other female figures.

I can't speak for anyone else but i'd kill for a darcy with cleavage baring shirt figure ;)

Can someone hook me up with a knife/blade for my movie winter soldier? I like Scourge/Demoliton Mans, but I am not buying a whole figure just for an accessory.

The First of 2 Dios I am having made. This is almost done. The wall needs some more airbrushing and adding some Foliage, Graffiti, Posters, and references to Gotham as this is for my Custom Zero Year Batman but can also be used for some of my Marvel Figs as well.

^^ Beautiful, mate! I love dioramas, they make figures pop that much more. Yours looks like it is developing very, very nicely. Make sure to post a finished photo!

You have some serious gonads! Emma is a very pricy figure, so I commend you for having the bravery to pull her legs off. :p She looks great, as does Wanda (who I also performed the foot-swap on, getting rid of those awful, awful heels).

Sorry I missed this, thank you so much! I really appreciate it! :D Experimenting with toy photography is taking up quite a bit of time for me now, it's a fun passtime indeed.
