Exactly. Zemo is the only one that kids might know. I would thing some kids might bite on the "that guy looks cool" factor but a three-pack is not a splurge item like a single figure is.

I have no idea whether they sold well or not.. all I see is what's in my area, and in my area; all of the three packs shelf warm... same with Comic Packs.

And it's all speculation, since I don't think anyone here works for Hasbro and sees the numbers, sits in meetings, and hears their marketing plans, but I honestly don't think they really consider kids when it comes to MU. It's a collector's line and they know it... they know it well. That's why there was such a set as the GoTG, but it's doesn't stop there.. Union Jack? Patriot? ..just to name a couple. Kids don't give a shit about those characters; just like they don't care about the MoE characters, but I'd be willing to bet we do see a variation of that set hit retail at some point within the next year.

Ooh I love how they have "they're professionals" who's ever at the Hasbro line, please take pics of it just to show us Arker's these so called professonals:p!

You and DDF actually:p

I've also wondered how much of this line is directed at kids. Like you said, no one here knows for sure. If it's mainly a collectors line, I see this heading to retail.

I've always loved the wtf figures they've made for this line: Guardian, Union Jack, Sunfire. I love those figures but I never thought those characters would be made so early in the line. Truth be told, Union Jack was my first MU toy. He started the whole thing.

Not a comic version. The only one is from the Invaders set.

Wrong Yellowjacket, and wrong Goliath :P. Didn't know Loki was, should of known haha.

Just out of interest; I know trying to get this kind of stuff off HTS must be a nightmare, but do they have a limit when you buy them?

Would it be possible for someone to order an extra set for other people on here, or is it a one-per-customer type thing? (obviously provided they have some stock after the con)

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring, if anyone is able to pick one up for me I would be eternally grateful. I'd be more than willing to pay a little extra if need be too. Looking at eBay to get one shipped to the UK would cost me $110+, based on these 'Professional Pre-sale' auctions anyways.

I love the obscure characters too, but I'm a 34 year old "collector" who digs this shit more than I should. I'm just saying that your typical 9 year old kid who just saw the Avengers, Spiderman, or Batman, and is all hyped over it isn't the same customer as a guy who stops at TRU twice a week looking for a Kraven figure (just using Kraven as an example because I'm pumped and ready to hunt as soon as I hear that wave was spotted at retail).

Yes HTS has does have limits, I'm sure someone from here would ship it to you but the shipping will be costly since you are out of the country.

I see what you did there ;)

Dravenheart 06-06-2012 01:06 PM

Those actually look really good. Never thought I'd love seeing a three pack of that specific trio, but Zemo looks great and I love clear figures.

Sadly, I won't be at the Con. If anyone going wouldn't mind helping me out by grabbing a couple figures for me (paid back, of course) I'd be eternally grateful.

Optimatron 06-06-2012 03:26 PM

Too bad it isn't a 3-pack of Legends figures.

Yeah but now she lists it as a BuyItNow for $100 or $110 or something like that. Worst of all, he doesn't even come with his wings, I mean fine, I can get the cheapo regular one with wings and use his, but for that price, I'd expect the wings, you know?

What does an American new age punk rock band have to do with this set? Haha, just kidding. I know you're making a reference to the Simpsons series which also features a comic book character named Radioactive Man with a sidekick by the same name. I was just further increasing the number of steps from the original said product...

Now the real trick will be if someone can push it even further...

Um... uh... some sort of reference to KISS and their action figures?

jjk1120 06-06-2012 09:09 PM

I've never gotten one of these exclusives. When do they become available to the rest of us?
