Shew...very commendable effort on that Plastic Man Rodimus...I'm trying like hell to stay away from having to paint skin tone on my customs. You did a great job though. I bet it was hell though.

How well do those heads fit on MU figs?

Since I was little I've always liked Plasticman so I decided to copy the Cyclops feet, and hips. Combine them w/ my "Resinman" head, and a Namor body to get this great Plasticman:

Man thats so fricking awesome!!!! Great job Rodimus,he looks just spot on!!!

RodimusVTS 07-05-2012 09:05 AM

Thanks guys, ordinarily I'd of sunk the head down a little deeper, but w/ Eel's stretching ability I decided that having a longer neck seemed to fit perfect. As for the paint it was actually the glasses, and belt that were the hardest part since the rest of him was pretty much just one, or two thin coats.

My kids got a hold of, and apparently lost my classic style Superman so I'm working on a new one using a cape that I cast from the SHSD Thor

DC Collectibles appears to be considering their own line of 3.75-inch figures: DC Collectibles SDCC Exclusive 3.75 GL 2-Pack - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com

I guess...but man those look decent, I got really excited when I saw the image and then the description brought me down...

I just hope those are as good as they look...maybe then hasbro will pick up the slack...

Plus I was hoping these would be announced and we would get a retail wave one!

Pros From Dover 07-05-2012 09:10 PM

We may get something at retail. We'll have to wait and see what is announced at SDCC.

And yeah, they do look great. Though, I doubt it will be enough to make Hasbro change what they are doing now.

Not sure if the Starro pack was any different, but most Infinite Heroes figures' heads are a bit too small for the average MU body. Works a little better for the females, or a Spiderman sized body, but not much else. Tends to require some dremeling though.

That looks bloody awesome. I never expected to see something like this. If it comes out looking better in person they should definitely start a consistent DC line. Be nice to have a good one running.

Ninjinister 07-05-2012 09:34 PM

Convention only? As a huge fan of both this scale and Green Lanterns, this is boner-killer.

I have a wonderwoman I got from ebay and thought this version was better than the DCIH one, but now Im not sure anymore since I see that WW from the SDCC looks better I think. Heres the wonderwoman I have dont mind wonderman lol.

There were a couple different Wonder Women. That one you got came with the Wonder Woman animated movie.
I have the Starro set one & a 6 box set one. The single carded Wonder Woman was a bit too pale for me.

Someone said it looks like he has wrist cuts at the glove? I can't really tell.

Ninjinister 07-06-2012 02:06 PM

Which movie-exclusive figures are actually 3.75-ish FIGURES? Someone once told me All-Star Superman did and so I bought the fig on ebay... and it was just a statuette :( Not even in-scale.

EDIT: I got my pack of Starro spores in today. I only need two, so if someone's interested in army building or something I may have the other two available for sale/trade/giveaway. Not sure which yet.

the green lantern that came with first flight and a wonder woman that came with that movie are variants from this line

As far as I know the only two DC animated movies that came with 3.75" figs were Green Lantern: First Flight and Wonder Woman.

Ninjinister 07-06-2012 02:50 PM

Thanks folks!

Omactivate! First Infinite Heroes figure. Gotta say I like it, even though the legs could be a little sturdier.

The Rose figure you have there..my god...is she a custom? I would love to have one of her. I love Deathstroke and his entire twisted family. Must have Powergirl...she's gorgeous...Raven as well.

None are customs.

Ninjinister 07-22-2012 07:01 PM

I never knew that Rose existed....

Torn Prince 07-22-2012 07:08 PM

Yeah I didn't either which was why I thought it was a custom

A little more Lantern appreciation:
Well w/ the Red, Yellow, and Blue Lanterns added my corps almost stretch across the entire spectrum w/ only Orange, and Indigo missing. Don't worry though they won't be missing long since I found some fodder Dare Devil mold figures out in the shed as well as another Thanos I didn't know I still had (I like the new one better).

Here's my "Rainbow Corps" so far:

Here's Tekik Sinestro Corps member of sector 3281, and Aya the Ai of the Interceptor:
