MOTU and CIE are going through!

CMIII 08-07-2012 11:01 AM

they did not say that Brian and Mollah were the only oversized for that matter it's Club Exclusive meaning there are 12 figures, 2 Oversized, and 1 Exclusive = 5 of the 12 have been shown Saint Walker, Phantom Stranger, Larfleeze, Elongated Man, Wally West and the Exclusive Mollah leaving 7 monthly and 2 Oversized grand totaling 15 figures. So Shot in the Dark guesses Freddy Freeman, Indigo-1, Vox with Mini Bee, Merlyn, Steel, Spellbinder III, and Scarecrow. 2 oversized Doomsday (Darkseid Sculpt), Killer Croc (Bane Sculpt)

Bubba304 08-07-2012 11:05 AM

I think they are making a little bit more than the # of subscribers. they have to make some in case of missing figures, damaged/defective figures that get past quality control, and ones that go up on the site (very few). a bonus for us is that we get to buy things on the site before the general public gets their hands on them....SOOOOOO that being said by time the general public gets them, most likely the pickins will be slim to none.

you fellas who didn't sub better make friends with people who did sub real quick and get in on the pre sale action...thus to hopefully secure figure or two from the "day of sale" category

Why would they do that when that can make even MORE money?

I think the pre-sale only applies to items that are not in a subscription. So, people who subbed to DCIH won't be able to buy any MOTUC sub figures, but they will be able to buy variants, beasts, props, etc. At least that is my understanding of it.

Tiberius 08-07-2012 11:28 AM

Why do I have a feeling that once the sub figures start shipping off that people are going to be pissed and annoyed with shipping costs?

freakout117 08-07-2012 11:29 AM

yeah i have i feeling that would happen, but whatever ill just go with it.

Tiberius 08-07-2012 11:33 AM

It was the onlyt hing that stopped me from subbing, and the fact I only want 3 figures..

I don't think so...if you have a sub in MOTUC and DCIE I'm pretty sure you can get the pre-sale on figures in MOTUC and DCIE before the general public...its only if you have one or the other, you then can't buy from the opposite sub.

* I THINK

Tiberius 08-07-2012 11:38 AM

I think you are right Warrior.

I mean Bubba.

Well I think that since people like you and I didn't subscribe, we don't deserve ANY of the figures.

Tiberius 08-07-2012 11:52 AM

So I have heard lol. I cannot commit to something while going in blind on total cost. Shipping is expensive enough as it is and they say they are raising it? If they gave us the TOTAL amount of $ [shipping included depending on country] I would of considered signing up even more. God knows what will happen to me next year, may lose my job, have no income, ect. I cannot commit to a whole year thing even if I wanted too because I love the line. Fuck I could DIE and what then?

Hmmm. I just re-read this over at Mattycollector's page.

Q. What can I buy?
A. Early Access was created especially so 2013 subscribers can more easily buy products NOT available through subscriptions. So, for example, when a product that isn’t part of a subscription goes on sale (like 2012’s Granymyr™ or the PKE Meter), subscribers will get the first chance to buy it through Early Access. If it sells out during the Early Access period, that’s it – there won’t be any product for non-subscription holders to buy in the coming sale.

Q. If I have one brand’s subscription can I buy from the other brands?
A. Early Access lets subscribers have the first chance at purchasing products that aren’t available in any of the subscriptions. Early Access will NOT allow you to buy subscription products from other brands early. For example, if you have a Watchmen subscription, you can’t buy Club Eternia subscription products early, like Netossa™ or Elongated Man – but you CAN buy Masters of the Universe® Classics products that aren’t part of Club Eternia®, like Granymyr™.

The way I read it is that non of the sub items will be available during the early access period. But the way some of these things are worded make it not entirely clear. I hope your interpretation is the right one.

true...time will tell either way something is better than nothing

CMIII 08-07-2012 01:17 PM

what they mean by early access is Special Stuff like 2013 SDCC Stuff

Tiberius 08-07-2012 01:19 PM

Are you sure? I would LOVE if that was the case..

ToyAddict 08-07-2012 03:35 PM

Early access only gives you early access to NON-SUBSCRIPTION products. Like, for example, an SDCC exclusive. It DOES NOT give you access to products from other subscription lines.

This has been covered already.

No, the 2013 sub is 12 regular figures at $18 each, plus one oversized figure -- which is the club exclusive Mallah.

They covered this at SDCC, here. Scroll down to picture number 88.

Tiberius 08-07-2012 03:53 PM

Maybe I should of subbed lol. Naw it's just hard not knowing shipping charges.

If you had added it to your cart at matty -- just to see it, not to buy it -- just throw it in the cart then delete it -- it would have showed you the shipping charges. For me, it was $9.90. So that would have put figures right at $30 for me, with tax. I'll miss these from my collection for sure, but I just can't stomach paying that much for a figure that at retail would be half that. $17 for one of these is about my limit.

Yea but what I mean, who knows IF they will change it next year to like 15 or some crazy shit. We have no way of telling. IF it was like 300 bucks including shipping for the year I would probably do it for I KNOW what money I need to put aside.

Uhh...

http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mo...e=800&start=20

Where do you see it say anything about oversized figures? I see it say

12 monthly figures
1 oversided club exclusive.

We already know there would be no Croc or Doomsday because they require new tooling. Since the sub did not meet the tier to do new tooling for 2014, don't expect to see them then either.

Um, subbers can only buy NON-SUB items before their day of sale. You know, like what Granamyr and TOD Sorceress are.

To teach cherry pickers a lesson.

BTW, your shipping complaint is going on deaf ears to me. When you start importing a Japanese Blu-Ray series on a monthly basis, then you can complain about the cost of shipping. Until then, suck it up!! Paying shipping from the US to Canada is HALF the cost of paying shipping from Japan to the US.

I know your entitled to your opinion, as am I, but it is in my opinion that you are kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd of being a douche. Like to teach cherry pickers a lesson? Come on buddy. They already charge extra for non subscribers, which is legit and fair. Ever since coming here you have been nothing but Dr Negative around here.

/convo.

Anyways,

I know for sure I will be CHERRY PICKING 3 or 4 figures from next year. Guess I'm a bad man =D.
