A dark Daredevil has not been visually confirmed repeatedly. Once and a while there will be a person who says they saw it yet somehow can't take a cell phone picture of it. There's been like two pictures of it ever from a Chinese Ebay seller months ago and it could easily have been a paint job. It's never on Ebay, no one posts any pictures, it's nowhere.

You'd think, logically, that by this point SOMEONE would have taken ONE picture of it at a store or after they bought it.

I THINK it's real, but there's not enough to confirm it as fact -- much like Black Widow, which you are correct about. One simple not-fishy picture is all it would take.

about the dark daredevil....i didnt know he was like a loch ness monster in the figure world...i actually have one i picked up the other day. im at work now, but i will post a pic later

when the post you quoted was posted they had yet to see the Dark Daredevil as it was released in revision waves and I think the original is now the htf one as it isn't being made anymore

Yes, this is true. The dark version is easier to find than the lighter at the moment.

not to mention it has a hammer file. this would have had to been produced concurrently with those waves. not impossible but improbable

Ummm no, Hasbro adds everything that the previous figure has. So it comes with a file because the original did.
A variant Luke Cage or Black Widow will also come just as the regulars did.

the variants that have shown up with a later where produced alongside what was released to retail. for whatever reason they just never got distributed. the variant of vision was one of these cases.

I found a house of M spiderman today at a toy shop. I really like the way he looks. $7 isn't a bad price imo.

vampireheart 11-03-2011 12:54 AM

So can someone help me identify if i have the matte or glossy hulk and electro by looking at these pics? Thanks.

neatogecko 11-03-2011 08:38 AM

Vampireheart, it's hard to tell without having the figures in hand, but I would say you've got the glossy Electro and the matte Red Hulk.

That's a great price! I paid freaking 21.00 including shipping on him. Although I swear the seller had a dummy acct and was seeing how high I would bid on it....cause I mailed him asking a question so I basically informed him that I was interested.

Both are glossy. The matte Rulk looks like chalk.

was it ever confirmed that the gloss no gloss figures where actually intended or production errors?

i have both rulks and no glossy just looks like they forgot a step.

Thats what i thought too. I thought it was QC

trebleshot 11-03-2011 11:23 AM

Personally, I would consider them production errors. All of the other figures that have been released in MU are glossy, so it would seem that it was the intended finish and the matte versions are mistakes.

No idea what Hasbro's stance is on this point, though.

vampireheart 11-03-2011 11:23 AM

Thanks guys Its hard to tell between the two.

Here's our discussion thread about it. There are also comparison pics, for those asking for them:

Peteparker 11-03-2011 11:09 PM

So I had posted these pictures in another thread, but they fit better here. They're pictures of paint variants, packing variants, and running changes that I've encountered.

Um, I'm not sure what you mean. The Black Ronin is just a paint difference. They changed the color on the newer figures, so the older version of the figure is darker than the newer version.

Reaver Strike 11-04-2011 05:39 AM

I can't say I've heard or seen any variations of X-23 either.

neatogecko 11-04-2011 09:02 AM

I have pictures of every single carded variant that has been released so far here (except for light blue Bullseye):
