DC meets Japan meets Transformers...im serious, they have transfomers in the movie. gorilla grood, nightwing, harley, Joker are all in the movie. wow, this movie is awesome, the voices are perfect. the visuals are stunning and very well drawn. its a different take thou. just imagine if Batman was from japan. the story line is alittle far fetch but then again we are taking about super heroes and movies from japan tend to have kooky storylines. this movie is very well made, i recommend it for sure.

No, it's there. Tarantino has talent but also has a juvenile male mindset. Hence redneck rapists are a recurring thing in his films. And misogyny. I know someone will say "What about Death Proof?", ah, the tough girls who leave their vulnerable friend alone with a creepy redneck, all so they can drive his car. Inglorious Basterds is bit better, but IIRC still has a scene with a woman being choked to death. Sure it's by a villain, but...

None of those are bad films, but anyone can find at least traces of misogyny in them.

Terminator 3

very good movie. i have always been a fan of this franchise. ive always like the storyline in the terminator movies. pure action from the beginning and the female terminator is a hottie. the only bad thing is that the female robots features/powers is too far fetched. like for example: she can control cars with just putting a finger on them, thats just stupid but other than that issue it was good. i recommend it.

Incredibles 2

this movie was quite entertaining, i liked it. it had alot of action and comedy. the animation was great also. the only thing i didnt like about the movie is that for some reason they made elastic girl more sexually appealing? isnt this suppose to be a kid movie? but overall no complaints, i recommend it.

^ For all its goofiness Terminator 3 has one of the most powerful scenes I have ever seen in a movie... the ending part with all the ICBMs launching.

Just watched The Best Offer (2013) with Geoffrey Rush and the actress who played Luv in Blade Runner 2049. One of the most intriguing movies I have seen in a very long time.

DEATH WISH (remake) - it was ok. they made it too light hearted. my dad is a big fan of charles bronson so i rented this for him. he said the original is better cause it was more serious, i agree. the original is more gritty.

Tomax 07-07-2018 08:17 AM

this movie was good. non stop action. no complaints really. the only thing is part one was better thou. but overall it was great, i recommend.

Saw Ant Man, it was really good. I was really entertained, and I think it was better than the first one.

Tomax 07-15-2018 11:28 AM

really good movie, no complaints except for the part when they are on the roof trying to escape and the dinos keep crashing where they are on the roof (too much coincidence) but other than that it was good, i enjoyed it, i recommend.

I saw Fallen Kingdom recently, I thought it was pretty damn bad. I really enjoyed it when it was on the island, but as soon as it got off it was no fun and quite ridiculous. I really liked Jurassic World so I was hoping for better in this movie.

Also, I ended up going back and watching Jurassic Park and the Lost World afterwards. Jurassic Park is great, I hadn't seen it since I was a kid.

The Lost World, on the other hand, is one of the worst sequels of all time. It was terrible. I had never seen it before and was shocked by how bad it was. It's the worst Jurassic Park movie and I hope to never see it again. They somehow even made Ian Malcolm boring.

Movie Theater: Ant Man and Wasp

A very good movie. Fun without to "universe at stake" intensity of most Marvel movies.

Home: A Quiet Place

Damned good. We were on edge for the entire movie, from beginning to end. My oldest daughter loved it, my youngest was ill from all the blood. My wife and mom-in-law were so tense it took them time after the movie to relax.

Singularity - dont waste your time, garbage. its like a terminator meets walking dead but without the zombies or terminator, same type of survival movie from robots taking over the world. it started off great but 30 mins in i took it off. for some dumb reason one of the actors (which he doesnt know how to act) all of a sudden started to have super human strength?? wtf??

Extinction - this was way better but guess what, almost at the end, they throw in a twist where the main character is a robot?? ruined the whole movie, it had the same story line from Singularity but with aliens and another thing, as it turns out they arent even aliens they are just humans trying to get rid of other humans, lame story line.

SideNote: im starting to notice a pattern, these so called Netflix "originals" movies look good, have good camera angles, alot of slow motion shots but the storylines are garbage. the only good 'original' netflix movie that i ahve seen that i can remember rite now is Bright, now thats a good movie.

Well, don't need to watch Extinction now, lol, spoiler/twist warning would have been nice :p

Ready Player One - this movie was OK. the idea is creative but the story line is alittle chaotic and the movie is all over the place. i did like all the cameos that referenced the 80's and gaming world. you gotta have a good eye thou cause the cameos pass rather quickly. just to name a few, i saw: borderlands, batman, catwoman, ryu, goro, overwatch, moral combat, prince, thunder cats, TMNT. the cameos that got the most coverage was: iron giant, mechaGodzilla and The shining

Under the skin - this movie was horrible. i was so bored i fast foward half of the damn movie. the only good thing was watching scarlet johanson naked but thats it. this movie was very dull and boring, cant stress that enough. they just showed her driving around in a van picking up men then lead them to a black lagoon inside a building? i thought it was gonna be like the movie Species but no.

Jasontr 08-03-2018 04:41 AM

Thanks for the heads up, Tomax! And to think that I had that movie in my "to-watch" list. I didn't know it was crap.

I respectfully disagree...I guess it’s more of a thinking person’s movie......but to be honest Species is like the Michael bay of sci fi films so I wouldn’t compare the two. At least rotten tomatoes Agrees with my sentiments hahaha. I’m not saying you don’t have a right to your opinion and I’m also not looking for a fight haha. Just saying my opinion as well.

Tomax 08-03-2018 08:10 AM

i understand the concept of the movie but the director did a bad job of storytelling, very dull style.

Fair enough..I think I understand your taste in films now haha. I think you either can’t understand or follow slow burning thinking sci fi films. Like Arrival, Quite place, and under the skin whom both are incredible films. But you have high praise for Pixels (a Adam Sandler film) , The Great Wall And Jurassic world fallen kingdom? I think you just need non stop action to keep you entertained( not saying that’s a bad thing either) but all three of those films I listed are rather terrible especially pixels

HAHA! Ok fair enough but in all honesty what’s this PAC man and old school gaming that you speak of? I’ve never heard of such a thing! But I genuinely thought you were like a 15-18 year just judging by the way you interact with others on here but whatever I’m kinda done arguing(if that’s what you wanna call it) with ya.

lordbest 08-04-2018 09:13 AM

The Great Wall was an excellent, old school adventure-action film in my opinion. Incredibly beautiful costume and set design, too.
