Woah, didn't know venompool came with a cool looking alternate head. That's making me a lot more interested in the figure now.

Yeah, that Wolverine is pretty cool, but I'd only buy it if they were giving us 12 inch versions of the rest of the Giant Sized team.

Would this really be considered scalping though? If, as BearJew hoped, a seller on eBay were selling Pizza Spidey for a lot, but had also paid a lot for the figure? Wouldn't that just be trying to get your money back by selling the figure for the current going rate?

Bearjew 07-22-2017 10:27 AM

I didn't specify that they paid exactly what they were selling it for. That would be an assumption and you know what they say about assumptions...

Toonstrack 07-22-2017 10:46 AM

Never bought a Black Series figure but that Rex is tempting. Hopefully we get more Clone Wars guys(COUGH MACE WINDU COUGH)()

There were some photos of it on Marvelousnews. Judging by the neon blue Spider-man in the background of the pic, that 3-pack is from the 6in. reduced articulation line of figures.

I mean, you did say a "fortune." Even before the news of his repacking, the figure was only selling on eBay for around $50-60 MIB (checked sold listings), including shipping. Considering he originally sold for $20+tax, that would imply that something between $20 and $60 is a "fortune." I mean, even if the seller had paid $40 for it (less than $20 over retail after you factor in tax) and was selling it for $60, the seller would only make like $10 off the transaction after eBay fees, PayPal fees, and shipping. I know I'm getting technical, but it just seemed like an unnecessarily hyperbolic thing to say.

I guess I just equate scalping more with people who buy tons of new hard to find figures when they're first released and sell them on eBay for high prices, not with people selling a figure that's like over two years old and that they likely originally bought to enjoy and not to sell for a profit and are now ready to sell and just listing it at the current going rate.

I think those were the basic 6 inch line.

It's not 3.75", it's a 3-pack for th3 5" basic/jiddy line of figures, and not a new reveal either...

Well, I guess if you want Deadpool figures this year, you sure are in luck.

OriginalFire 07-22-2017 01:31 PM

I wish I could love Deadpool, but I just can't. He has so many cool figures. For some reason I never liked him

Well you better brace yourself, because next year his film's getting a sequel and his mug will be plastered everywhere!!

Snowflakian 07-22-2017 02:02 PM

Nice on the 80s ironman! Was expecting that since he was one of the original Toy Biz releases in that packaging too.
Wonder if they'll do a Deathlok that way too.

Love the rainbow deadpool brigade!

Deadpool Sentai Mercinger.

Bearjew 07-22-2017 02:10 PM

I really like that classic Ironman.
I may just be sick of the newer Ironman plastered all over everything.

Tomax 07-22-2017 02:13 PM

uhh ohh, Hasbro is running out of steam. not into gaypool, so this is a easy pass for me...

SkittlePool party pack...... NO one wants that!!!

First, 3.75" get no SDCC exclusive
Second, only show was a Skurge promised 4 years ago
Thirdly, Saturday morning case reveal shows the SkittlePool disaster.

Even 6" Marvel collectors are feeling bad for us now. Dark days my brethren.....Dark days.

Snowflakian 07-22-2017 03:23 PM

I expect we might see a retro Thor done in that Toy Biz package styling.

And paying respect to the past is not "running out of ideas". Though I do hope they do some more of the more modern characters as figures. Not sure how well the classic packaging for heroes will sell overall with only past versions of characters. The upped articulation is nice, and loving the extra accessories though. It's minimalized but still with some nice extras. Would love to see some other characters in that packaging though like America Chavez and Kate Bishop Hawkeye. But I'm assuming for now, for the classic nod, they'll cover most of what Toy Biz had done. Hope they throw some new in there though. Or maybe next year they'll do the first Toy Biz X-Men line like this. Would love a Blink figure in that classic packaging. Especially with her in Fox's Gifted show. Still hoping they do the 90s ironman too.

Power Ranger Deadpool skittles brigade is a fun idea. And a nice reference from his miniseries where he fought AU versions of himself too.

This OPM gif implies the nut punch from Hasbro was unintentional. They know what they are doing.

Still funny tho
