I have not seen a single 6" Joe anywhere where I live... not at Target or Walmart or even at my LCS or specialty shops... so weird... it is like they don't exist here. Not that I was planning to buy any of these... just feels weird not seeing them is all when I see them on like every toy hunt video I watch on youtube. It is times like this that I miss TRU... I mean the old TRU.

I would have bought those from you. Those are the hard to find ones at the moment.

I've seen the pegs at Wal-Mart that are for Joe figs, but almost always empty. Only 2 I've been fortunate to snag were Snake eyes & wavec1 Roadblock which I'm turning into a generic MC biker "Dogs of hell" biker thug. Same for when I get Gung Go & Kill crew Frank.

Hasbro has really fubared this line so far. Wave 1 has not been restocked, that target exclusive line is been a clusterscrew plus making a main character AND troop builder exclusives just reeks of scalperbait and making it impossible to find and like you said making the red ninja 1 per case is just utter stupidty. If hasbro keeps this garbage ip this line is doomed before it gets started.

Any news on what vehicles are next?

One vehicle they absolutely should bring back is the Skystriker. ^^

Do they already have a new Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank set for release?

I doubt hasbro will put that out anytime soon. I just figured the skyhawk is a small enough vehicle for them to release and the Skyforce Airborne would make a good enough pilot to Pack in. Since theres two joes with that codename maybe they could change it to airdrop.

Oil prices haven't made it any easier to release a new Skytriker I guess. -_-

Might be a good HasLab project but if it's in scale then it's going to be over 6 feet long.

Really nice throne room dio and great use of those McFarlane snake figures. In fact, I could swear there were robotic snakes that looked just like them in the Mass Device eps of the Joe cartoon.

Oh and your VAMP is awesome. Any interest in doing a humvee in six inch scale?

I like how you think. I've been buying cheapo figures for years to use as bikers. That's why I'm so excited for Kill crew Frank. I need at least 4 bikes and Frank himself will be repurposed as a gang leader. I'm also eyeing Gung-Ho but in my universe he'll be a Reaver. I just hope the Reese head that came with Skullbuster will fit on Gung-Ho.

Aren't oil prices at all time lows?

I was thinking more like the original Skystriker toy from 1983 with a pack-in pilot.

Oh, and according to Market Watch, oil prices have ended at their highest since March, with American crude oil supplies down for 3 months in a row.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the new Skystriker would be primarily aluminum, which is mainly what I think because aluminum must be a lot more plentiful than oil at the moment, thanks to the recycling of soda cans.

Meh, thats just an excuse companies use to gouge prices.

But isn't that the reason the Real American Hero figures were made 4.5 inch scale instead of 12 inch like the original G.I. Joe character?

Looks like you're right. 2020 has given us so many major news stories that the last time I remembered any significant talk about oil it was in regards to historically low prices.

Somebody's been watching Netflix's "The Toys That Made Us". lol.

I fully concur. it feels like thier mindset is that as long as it's selling, who cares if it's being bought up by scalpers. And the lack of communication between them, Target corporate & Target employees on the floor is atrocious as well. They say the figures can be sold on Aug 1st, but the employees say Aug 14. To make the Army builder the scarce one of the wave was beyond idiotic. Who was the genius at Hasbro who approved that? They keep making this line hard to find on the pegs & yeah, I can see it dying out after 3-4 waves. A lot of the Cobra bad guys are Army builders, are they gonna keep making them 1 per case?

Kinda but that was also during two wars. The only war going on now is political and financial. Citing oil prices is a very very minute’ but its a convenient and common excuse for companies of all kinds to gouge consumers and one i find to be bs on most of it.

Yeah, that does seem shady.

Robb 08-12-2020 03:08 PM

I know it has probably been mentioned , but look on the back end caps @ Target. I saw where they are setting up one for different lines including Joes, Spawn and Batman.

Trivial Psychic 08-12-2020 07:33 PM

Some of ya'll need to chill with that "line failure" nonsense because of some poorly packed army builder troops. Have you already forgotten how Black Series began? EVERYTHING was one a case...including troopers. We're now buried up to our necks so deep in troopers that people have begun groaning whenever a new one is thrown into a wave instead of a established fan favorite.

There will be plenty...PLENTY of troop builders and ninjas down the road. Think of how many Cobra has in itself...B.A.T.S., Crimson Guards, Standard Vipers, Alley Vipers, Incinerators and Annihilators, Iron Grenadiers, Night Creepers, Eels...and so on and so on... Unless interest suddenly dies or the 1/12 scale market suddenly drops out, this line will be going for a while.

If there's any line that's in danger of dying an early death...it's the new Ghostbusters line. Those things are already starting to collect dust on the pegs at some of my local stores.

Nimrod 08-12-2020 08:46 PM

Well I found a lone wave 2 Roadblock hanging on the pegs at my local tarjay tonight. Now just need Gung Go to start working on my generic Dogs of hell MC biker thugs.

MeLikeJinx 08-13-2020 05:19 AM

In the new Joe video game trailer at the 1 minute mark you can see Lady Jaye I think... she is not wearing a hat... kinda looks like the 25th 5 pack design, so I'm guessing that is what her Classified figure will probably look like.

Nice!

Exodus 08-13-2020 05:41 PM

Fortunately I've seen wave 1 of Joe figures and actually was able to snag the target cobra trooper thanks to a board member in my area. But yeah I'm not surprised these figures are disappearing fast. I should have grabbed the beachhead too but was thinking eh... Now I regret it. Don't even know if that one was a target or regular release as I haven't been following the line. I also did get the snake eyes premium pulse figure and the box on that bad boy is worth the ebay price I paid for it:P
