Thanks, and yeah, I was really pleased to see this Deadpool again. Hard to believe there was a time when there weren't a ton of Deadpool figures available, I remember this one really impressing me when it came out.

I think you're pretty lucky with the toys coming out of the warehouse. The tick figure is great. I was going to buy one a long time ago but I couldn't buy one. One of the missing pieces in my collection.

Good to see a Batman figure. Batman figures from the Arkham series are really cool. If I remember correctly, it belongs to The Flash super power series and it has really great quality.

By the way, it's great to have the opportunity to meet the Green Ranger. :)

You have a really clean, visually entertaining and organized collection.

It's always fun to look at your collection. Congratulations. :)

Appreciate the very kind words! :) The Compound Hulk figure goes back to another version I had on the want list for several years. There was a smaller version part of the old Marvel Universe 3.75" line that was a NY Comic Con exclusive back in 2011. But the aftermaket prices have been really high, and I never quite felt good going for it. This new version I love even more, and really happy to get at regular retail. A very happy alternative ending to the quest!

Nice Millennium Falcon, is that also the original? The Toblerones just increased its value 10 fold!

Yep, 1982 original Snake Eyes, I am the original owner! Yeah, I can't believe how good he looks, I DID play with him back in the day believe it or not. May still even have his accessories somewhere, hoping those show up along with Scarlett and Stalker.

The Falcon is the 2008 Hasbro Legacy Collection version, I used to have the original back in the day as well which was 23 inches long, this is 32 inches long, a very noticeably bigger toy! Honestly I loved the original, it was much played with for years, but this one is really impressive too. Now just to find the AT-AT (it's here somewhere)...

Some recent additions...

Vintage Secret Wars, Super Powers, and Micronauts:

https://i.imgur.com/OE8nd99.jpg

DC Direct 1st Appearance Composite Superman, love the mini comic reprint as well.

https://i.imgur.com/dOU470U.jpg

Next, a figure of Cover Girl as she appeared in the original "M.A.S.S. Device" mini-series, I've wanted this forever!

https://i.imgur.com/bEx4r6M.jpg

Next up, on the left, Mattel's "Eternian Palace Guard" that comes with a head swap (and chest armor and mace) to create classic Man-At-Arms. I also took off the right arm and leg armors to complete the proper look. On the right, a Filmation style Super7 figure I picked up previously from the Los Amos line.

https://i.imgur.com/QE4mqpG.jpg

Finally, a bit of a quirky find, a vintage carring case I've seen documented as appearing during the early 80's (no date on the case itself). It has 2 trays, I've filled the top one already with various vintage and "modern retro" figures as pictured (the bottom tray only has the narrower spaces).

I know nothing about gi joe but Covergirl is an amazing looking figure!

It's great to see you here again. You're back with great figures and collectibles object. Now, I looked at the photos over and over again and I went on a great nostalgic journey, actually the reason should be Secret Wars, but the moment I saw the figure carrying case, I said, "This is something amazing". A bag that carries the traces of its own era. I really like this kind of products. Whenever I see similar products like this, I feel like I'm journey to the good old days. I think they tried to make a Star Wars-like design. All of those looks awesome. :)

Congrats.

That's a nice container. I like that there's a slot for each figure. My containers don't have that organization set up. Also, love the Dr. Fate and Spider-Man figures. The Cover Girl & female ReAction Figures are cool too.

Thanks! Long story short, her original action figure in the 80's had short brown hair but in her very first animated appearance, she looked more like this. So again, was excited to see them make this version.

Congrats.

Thank you! I feel the same way about that case, and yes, they were definitely targeting the Star Wars fans. It would have come out right around the time of the original movies/figures and reminds me of the "generic" type stuff you might see on the shelves back in the day in addition to the major licensed goods. I completely stumbled onto it while I was searching for something else...a most excellent surprise for sure :)

Thank you so much, and yeah, I really like the functional layout of the case as well. I wouldn't mind more like this! I will say the thinner slots are a tad narrow and work best with straighter arm characters, but otherwise it's again a nice design.

That was the impression I got.

Wow. A figure carrying case! Back in the days when kids actually play with toys and would bring them to a friend's house to play together. Those days are gone!

Good find.

Thank you! And yes, it brought back that exact same memory for me :)

Same here, and I can't believe how many years it was on my wishlist. I first saw it in a magazine a bazillion years ago, and while not the hardest figure to find, I've always seemed to just miss one at a price I wanted. Very happy to have finally landed!

An amazing comeback. I'm so glad to see you here again. They all look amazing. I can't wait to see more photos from your collection. :)

Thank you so much! Mezco had the Superman set listed as pre-order for so long, I had kind of given up hope it would ever arrive, cannot believe I finally have it.

Appreciate your kind words! Definitely had meant to get back sooner, and I do need to get back to digging through more items in storage.

In the meantime, a few additions since I last posted:

Great new toys. I think these are new versions of the Indiana Jones series. I have the figures that Hasbro released in 2008 and they look very similar. The production model has changed a lot. One day I will share photos. Your collection is great. Congratulations. :)

ScottyHawkeye 05-03-2023 11:14 AM

Love those Fleischer Superman figures. Mechanical Monsters was my favorite of the serials.

Yes, these are the newer ones. It's funny, of all the figures, I debated Marion the most because I wasn't sure about her face in the pictures, but she looks the best to me out of all of them in hand. Indy looks better to me from the side really. But they are fun overall, I have the Marcus/Belloq 2-pack pre-ordered.

Thanks! Yeah, that's my favorite episode as well, those old serials were so beautifully animated.

I have some DC Universe Classics figures as well. I tried to get everything with the DC Universe Classics line but couldn't keep up with the release speed and gave up.

Yeah, it surprised me that those were made in the 1940s because of how well-animated they were. I thought they were at least in the 60s or 70s. I wish Lex Luthor appeared in at least one of them.

Also that Hawkgirl is amazing.

Thanks! I agree, there were a lot with the Classics line, at this point I'm just going back and picking up some favorites I missed along the way.

Yep, the "Golden Age" of animation was truly impressive right out of the gate!
