You can paint it if you like, but you don't have to paint it. I am certain that, even unpainted, it's at least as detailed the Super7 Ultimates Voltron that I already have that is not very detailed at all. I don't mind a figure that you have to be careful with when you pose it. I'd rather have that than the Super7 Voltron figure that in spite of having joints in all the right places can't attain dynamic poses at all. Do you even lift, brah? |

I've said this before, Super7 seems WAY more concerned about the fancy Ultimates slipcover packaging than they are about the quality of the figures themselves. The remaining Ultimates pre-orders I have coming from Super7 are G1 Soundwave and Cortex Commander, and they will be the last figures I pre-order from them ever again. I'll wait for the final releases going forward and make the decision to buy or not based on in-hand reviews. |
BTW, this new Bruce Lee "The Operative" Ultimate looks really weak. I mean, there's almost ZERO sculpted detail on his outfit. I know it was tight in the movie, but at least put some folds and creases and maybe some paint shading so Bruce doesn't look like a fucking marionette.

The end product is going to look even worse... Compare the promo pics of the other Bruce Lee figures and the production versions... They look vastly different. its almost embarrassing that Super7 thought the final products were good enough for release...
this goes for most of their Human Ultimates figures... |
The only sculpted detail of his outfit is his arms. It’s a strange choice. Hey, at least, this one actually looks more like Bruce Lee than their last attempts. Also, why still give him very few articulation points? Really stupid of them to do this. Bruce was very physically agile!

The articulation on these Bruce Lee figures suck ass. Especially the legs, hips and knees, I don’t know why they engineered them so poorly and why they have such limited range of movement. The paint on these figures is a joke, and the sculpts lack detail. I bought the first two and they are a disappointment.

big, big sale happening at Big Bad Toy Store on Super7 Ultimates
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Searc...r=Discount&o=1 |
Yeah, picked up some BATs.
|
Just picked up the remaining turtles I wanted for 60 percent off. This is scary. Between target putting figures on clearance just weeks after release and places like Ollie’s getting truck loads of toys weekly, things seem to be on a downward spiral…..and not just for Super7 but all action figures.
I’m seeing Facebook groups for action figures filled with collectors trying to dump their collections for way less than they paid….many of these are figures that aren’t even a month old….because of bills, debt….etc. This feels like 2007-2009 when collectors were dumping their collections for nothing just to make rent…etc. Now I see that He-man.org is closing down. That place has been there for what a quarter century or more? Mad times these are, mad times. |
Im curious to how Super 7 is going to continue charging $55 or more for an Ultimate, when everyone knows what is up now. And it's more just a matter of waiting and paying attention than jumping on a preorder.
It's not even old stock either, i would guess most of the stock in the BBTS sale is from this year. |
I'm surprised to see that after TWO days of BBTS sale, most of which are 50% or more discounted, NOTHING has sold out. Not even BATS which is an army builder at cheaper than Classified price. Did BBTS really overstocked that much? What would it take to sell off their Super7 Ultimates?
|
A couple of things have sold out since then I noticed. But oddly enough, its figures that have already been available for some at EE at a marked down price (homer & 2001).

Curiously enough, Dr. Floyd went back in stock.
Probably going to put in a 2nd order, might as well fill in some of the holes in my Thundercats collection...mirror Lion-O and Pumm-Ra. And possibly one or two more BATs. |

Pumm-Ra is a nothing character but $22 is a great price for a casual purchase. Wish they were all that price. Mirror Lion-O, is an okay price to just have a Lion-O, if you dont already have one. |
I did it. I got those three and a cheetara just cause i wanted cheetara.

I preordered ratking. Finally the version we wanted.

Why is everyone shocked the bottom has dropped out on Super7? Too expensive, too many preorders, and too many QC issues. It’s hilarious how people like Harbinger cry “Hasblo” constantly but have nothing to say about this trash company. |

I definitely am not pre-ordering it, I want to see how the final product is, but that Godzilla Minus One figure looks incredible.
