Or the best. That stuff could take a direct hit from a charging Juggernaut and not budge a nanometer.

But I agree the hair sticking out sideways was always annoying, especially when her other clothing/accessories did not follow suit.

Didn't the side flowing hair start almost immediately? Wasn't Phoenix one of the first female figures they did? Her and her glowing side hair...because there's so much wind in space.....

Now that I think about it I'm pretty pissed that they made so Starjammers, Brood etc but they never made Lilandra. If they used the Vac Metallic look of the Iron Man line to make her in armor that would have been awesome.

There's a guy on IG selling a bunch of old Toybiz carded figures for $12 shipped.

Just finished up with this guy. This should have been in the lineup instead of all those crazy Angel/Archangel mixes they gave us.

If anyone has the following on card please let me know if you would like to sell. Cards don't need to be mint, just gonna rip them off for display.

Pyro
Omega Red
Spiral
Mojo
Jean Grey Onslaught
Marvel Girl Marvel Gold

Thanks

OK, I'm not the best at this, but I'm going to try to guess the recipe... Archangel 2 body ( the one with the floppy silver wings, and no mask, with long blonde hair. 90's Havoc head? and the wings look like you snatched them off a small dove. I do not recognize them at all. that is an awesome custom, you sir are about to push me into recollecting my 90's Toybiz childhood.

Thanks, it's the Battle Brigade body correct. The head is from X-Men 2099 Meanstreak and the wings from DC Total Justice Hawkman.

I love these toy biz figures more than anything else. X-Men was so great back then with the figures and cartoon.

xMostWanted559x 06-11-2014 09:48 PM

How good were the figures. Articulated?

Ack I guessed the recipe correctly, but read your response before I posted. At first I wondered why you didn't use the 2nd version of Archangel that used this body, the one with the "floppy" blond hair, but then realized that the Meanstreak sculpt is more accurate to the look you are going for now that I see the rest of your collection.

The assortment of figures was awesome but the articulation was pretty basic. I don't think any of them had anything close to ML style articulation unless it was much much later and one of the 6" lines they would put out once in a while.

Thanks to Spyne98 I was able to add some much needed missing X-Men and Villains to my display

I've never seen those that Multiple Man (men?) before. That's pretty neat. I wish I could have found that Wolfsbane but unfortunately I have the other more wolf-like figure they made of her. Take what you can get I guess.

Multiple Man was a Toyfare exclusive. They had a handful of figures available by ToyBiz back in 99/2000 or so I think. Some really cool figures

List of Toyfare exclusives:
Marveltoys.net - The source for Marvel figure information!

As for the Wolfsbane I like the other one better but also dig the uniform on her.

Ah, I forgot they did exclusives for those lines. I was heavy into collecting those figures around 1997-2001 or so, whenever they ended the license.

As for Wolfsbane, I'll trade you! :D

Spyne98 12-11-2014 08:24 AM

I was looking back at this line the other day. I can't help but smile and laugh a bit at all the random characters they made who we have never (or almost never) heard from again. Remember Slayback? He recently showed up in like 2 pages of the Death of Wolverine spin offs. That figure was awesome! How about Tusk? Where's he been since the 90's? Comcast, Genesis, Grizzly, Robot Wolverine. Where did they all go?

That being said, I would kill for Marvel Legends versions of these guys haha!

Byrnes 12-11-2014 08:39 AM

I'd crap a brick if they made some of these figures in Legends.

Corsair
Raza
Tusk
Deathbird
Ch'od BAF

and last but not least my favorite random character Bonebreaker. I loved that dude and had no idea other than I think 1 comic he was in the Reavers or something I can't really remember, I'm not a huge comic guy.

There are so many great figures still needed for ML.

glad i stumbled upon this thread !!! i used to love that X-men. i had a bunch of loose ones i used to play with as a kid. and i just so happen to find this in my closet at my folks house... i nearly forgot i had it.

Of all of these I would love a Deathbird to be released. She's in my, oh, probably top 25 I'd like to see in both lines actually. But I suspect that won't ever happen for either. :(
