4 Stealth Blue Extremist iron man marvel legends wave 1 at the TRU Gastonia that's is liquidating everything since they are moving to a new store, so it's 20% off
It's unusual, but it seems that the "Variants" are on the pegs instead of the regular Legend figures. I found Marvel Legends 2012 Series 2 at the Target behind Triangle Towne Center Mall yesterday. I picked up the "unmasked" Dark Wolverine and the White Future Foundation costumed Spider-Man. I also saw a couple of "regular" Series 1 Iron Man Extremis Armored "red and gold" figures.
Okay, Finished with Marvel Legends 2012 Series 1 and 2. Found the Fantmex and Madame Mask today at the TRU in Durham. Now I will be on the lookout for the "Blue" flamed Ghost Rider, Big Time Spider-Man, Wrecking Crew Piledriver, Madame Hydra. Damn, it's a whole 'nother set!!
I'm not even sure which are the Variants at this point, I've seen (of the alt-carded figures):
white Spiderman Wrecking Ball Madame Mask Blue Armor Ironman but I've seen NO Ghost Riders at all. I bought a loose one from a board member of the orange flame, but i completely do want to build TERRAX so I'll still need to find the Blue Flame Ghost Rider. in WF, Nothing, Absolutely NOTHING of Marvel Legends at neither Wal-Mart nor Target. |
From what I have observed online. Alot of websites are offering the Marvel Legends figures as pre-orders to be available in April. I have a feeling that the way these have been trickling in that they will be more abundant within 30 days. Patience. In a seven day week i usually visit about 5 to 6 Walmarts and Targets (Fuquay, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Cary, Triangle Towne Center, Brier Creek, Southpoint Target and Martin Luther King Blvd. Walmart along with the TRU in Cary and Durham. I have yet to see any Marvel Legends at the Cary TRU, but have seen Series 1 and 2 at the Durham TRU. It seems that Target has the Marvel Legends in more abundance. I was lucky and saw a case fresh selection at the Walmart on MLK in Durham. I continue to look every week for more figures, but in the last 2 weeks out of all these stores i have only seen 1 Iron Man Red/Gold armor. That was after i already had mine. Now I will just wait on the other variants that i don't have.

well, went to Target and Wal-Mart yesterday. Wal-Mart had all of the ML Wave 2 that I already have, but no Wave 1, and nothing ML at Target, but Target is PACKED with MU.
no new marvel legends at walmart fuquay. =/ but i was surprised to see a tv version of walking dead figures. lucky to find the rick grimes. and also for star wars, the battle pack royal star ship droids.
No ML in WF except one lonely Captain America at Target. We need a refresh case STAT!
ML Wave 2 at Fuquay Varina Walmart
It's not a local sighting but I got my collector's club exclusive Footloose figure in the mail today. The box was completely smashed on one end...it's a miracle the figure was still intact. The file card's pretty much toast. But the figure looks great on the shelf!
The Sinestro/Gambit and Thanos/Warlock two-packs are showing up. There are a couple of each 2 packs at the Durham MLK Walmart.
Has anyone seen any Wave 1 ML around? I still need Steve Rogers, OR at least the crotch of Terrax.
Young Justice are already getting clearanced at Target, and all the Batman and Spider-man figures that were overpriced last month are now on clearance. |
I've only seen the "Bucky" Cap and Stealth Armor Iron Man still in stores. There is a toy show in Greensboro on June 9th & 10th. They usually carry Marvel Legends at the show.
Not that this is a huge deal, but I saw the 3 3/4-inch Men In Black III figures at the TRU in Cary this past week. They had all the single-packed figures, deluxe sets and role-play items on an end cap. The single-packs were $9.99 and the deluxe sets were $14.99 I think. The aliens actually looked OK. The agents looked a little plain. I was looking at them for possible customs.

Found the new 3 3/4-inch scale Walmart exclusive Batmobile with Batman from the Dark Knight Rises toy line at the Walmart at Brier Creek today. They had two on the shelf along with one Movie Master version of Batman and several Batman utility belt role-play sets. The Batmobile and Batman appear to be exactly the same as the previous Dark Knight release but I could be wrong.
I also noticed that the Target on Lynn Road in Raleigh had a space all set up for the new G.I. Joe stuff, with all the pegs labeled and the big red sign up that says watch this space for something new. And I forgot to mention...that Walmart also had a sprinkling of Amazing Spider-Man stuff from the new movie. |
Walmart Exclusive Avengers
Keep a look out for the 6" Walmart Exclusive Avengers Movie figures, please. There should be six. Called around today, but no one has them in stock yet. I will hit this site with any sightings also.
I found the new 6" Avengers Iron Man & Captain America at the Burlington Hwy70 Walmart last night. They didn't have any of the other 6" figures.
The Burlington Walmart near the HollyHill Mall had a lot of the Spiderman new 4" figures and toys. And all of the Walmarts in that area had the Batman mask/cape toys, but no figures from the Dark Knight Rises line. |
There's a ton of stuff at the Walmart in Wake Forest today...GI Joe Retaliation (figures, Alpha Class vehicles, giant figures, blasters, swords, masks, etc.), Batman The Dark Knight Rises (figures, deluxe figures, Movie Masters figures, The Bat, Bat Pod, QuickTek vehicles, etc.), Amazing Spider-Man (too much stuff to list right now), new Avengers figures (e.g., Skrull Soldier), and probably more stuff you guys might be interested in. It's a very well stocked aisle.
UPDATE: Guys, if anyone buys the 3 3/4-inch Batman figures, be careful pulling the cloth cape out of the packaging. It's better to cut the plastic completely away from the back of the figure...if you try to just pull the cloth cape straight through the plastic the capes will tear. |
Pretty productive day, I picked up the Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters at TRU in Durham. Each figure comes with a Collect & Connect piece to build a projecting Bat-Signal. The figures were Bane, Batman and Alfred Pennyworth. Also spotted the 2012 Marvel Legends Iron Man with the Red and Gold Armor at Ultimate Comics off Hwy. 54 in Chapel Hill. The Batman Legacy Wave 3 figures including First Appearance Batman and Catwoman are marked down at Walmart, both Morrisville and MLK Durham.
Another productive day. The Kmart on Six Forks had the Wave 3 Avengers 3 3/4" figures. I got the Movie version Hawkeye, Black Widow and the Comic version Skrull. Since there are only a couple of Kmarts left i don't always visit them as much as Target or Walmart, but every once in a while they suprise me.

Lots of GI Joe Retaliation stuff at the Target at Brier Creek today...heavy stock of single-pack figures, motorcycles, the blue HISS Tank, Ghost Hawk II, Fang Boat, Ninja 4x4, ninja 3-packs, role-play accessories, etc.
They also had a nice assortment of Batman Dark Knight Rises stuff including a Target exclusive 3 3/4-inch multi-pack with Bane, basic black Batman, Bruce Wayne, another version of Batman and Catwoman! They also had what looked like a 5-inch scale Target exclusive vehicle pack with three Batman vehicles. And new Spider-Man. |
i've only found the GI Joe motorcycle riders, but did find a BUNCH of Batman movie and Spiderman movie stuff! it's popping up all over Raleigh, if you are looking. the Movie Super-Poseable Spider-Man is amazing!
Went to the TRU in Cary today at lunch. They had some GI Joe Retaliation stuff on an endcap, but it was mainly the giant figures (Snake Eyes, Ninja Commando Roadblock), role-play gear and the Alpha Class motorcycles. They also had a Batman Dark Knight Rises vehicle that I haven't seen anywhere else around town yet...the camoflauge R/C Tumbler. They also had the 3 3/4-inch figures (basic and deluxe) and the Bat-Pod. They had the Amazing Spider-Man section all set up but it was all basically just Comic Series stuff. The regular GI Joes (e.g., Renegades) were on sale, buy one get one 50% off I think, and they had been moved to sort of a clearance section.
