Well I'm just basing it off the ones I have that are open and I have been able to mess with. If I had as many open as others do, It might be a different answer. But as far as my open collection goes. He has to be my worst MU figure for me.

It's not because the paint apps on his eye are jacked is it?

Yeah and his right leg keeps popping off. I'm sure It more QC then an actual problem But I Don't have many loose figures. So That is all I really have to base it off of.

Mine is fine save for the head, though they fixed that in the revision case 2099.

As for the leg did you try any of the thing these arkers had to say?
Is there a quick fix for marvel univrse legs? - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com

I passed on Jean (loose) for $3 at my LCS. That flipper hand did it- and her body must have been some holdover from Showdown or something- it's not the Black Widow buck and it sucks in a way that's almost as bad as a new Young Justice figure...

naw! Nothing could suck that bad!

Fortune 10-05-2011 10:23 PM

Is Jean Grey really that bad? She was one that I was excited to try to get :(

All personal preference, I have NEVER seen her before, so I am not sure. From pictures she doesn't look terrible, at all...

Really just as bad as the other female figures have been, proportions were a bit odd but fairly decent.I personally liked MJ but many arkers hated her, so make of that as you will.

Peteparker 10-05-2011 10:51 PM

I've seen her twice, and both times the packages were absolutely wrecked.

NoodleChow 10-05-2011 11:04 PM

haha man, i never really understood the jean hate. she could have been much muuuch worse. the fact that she was a whole new sculpt with balljointed elbows already puts her a head above the other female figures. i modded mine to have her shoulder pads actually on her shoulders with a bit of sanding and glue since that was prolly my only gripe.

as for worst, i'd prolly say anything on the old daredevil body. the height, sculpt, proportions, and articulation all pretty much sucked. but even with that said, phasing vision is actually one of my favorites.

Hell that looks good, and I hate any 90's jean that wasn't pheonix....
It looks like her shoulder pads were the only things making her proportions look off, kudos on fixing it.

Jason Abbadon 10-06-2011 01:06 AM

That's a great picture that both conceals her afful flipper hand in that energy glove as well as the perspective hiding her teeny tiny ball fist.
Putting her next to Phoinex you'd notice how tiny her pinhead is- maybe 20% too small for her body.

Still...swap the hands and head with Phoinex and you'd probably have a decent figure.

Pretty odd about those ball elbows- makes me think this was an old unused Showdown mold or something, since we've never seen it since.

NoodleChow 10-06-2011 03:24 AM

have you ever seen those showdown female molds? now those are terrible and ridiculously gangly looking. also they never had ball hinged elbows. as for the open hand, i always figured it was for use with the blast effect.

cabrican 12-04-2011 01:30 PM

Luke Cage (hancock was a lame movie)
Hulk, Gray Hulk (too small, stupid facial expressions)
Jean Grey (those shoulders look awful)

i dont see anything wrong with the shoulders.

Hulk97 12-04-2011 01:52 PM

out of the ones i have its ultimate captain america, but i think thats because mine is loose and has bad paint apps on one arm and the head. dont like the hands either.

My right knee is locked up and I had to boil it about 3 times and it still locks up.

I've got her and she is great!
But if you get her DO NOT put the blast affect on the fist, mine now has a busted fist.
