This show is great....what fast paced stuff do you want.....its a show about people that are living in this Zombie outbreak......
Not a show about Zombies eating people..... Your seeing a man crack, A man fighting for hes family.....a feeling of loneliness.....if you want Zombie action go watch a movie..... The comic is even slower sometimes.... |

Good, another episode I can skip on.

Show is better than the comics so far, yes, that scene in the drug store was needed, why? You will see. Anyone who has read the comics knows it just adds the story. Sure, it didn't happen THAT way in the comics, but whatever. It WILL pick up and if you don't watch the episodes, you will be left confused on why this person did or didn't do this because of this or that reason. I still want to know what happened to Daryls brother...

I just quickly read in depth reviews/synopsis on episodes I choose to pass up. If it sounds interesting I'll go back and watch it but as of right now, the tv show is a complete pass.

I don't mind the slow pace but is showing the drug store scene really developing the characters and the same continued missing girl and boy being sick for the last few days going to continue to interest me? No, I don't buy into that, I can watch a four hour movie as long as its interesting but an hour of looking for a little girl and a boy in a bed over and over again is not all that fun to watch for me.
I'm all for a great story and great acting but other than Shame, Rick and his wife, are all of the other characters really worthwhile towards having feelings about? To me, no, I could care less if any of them are killed off. Anyone buy the walking dead toys? Picked up the NYCC blood splatter Rick Grimes at TRU out of all places for 20 bucks since I missed it at the convention and have the previews exclusive black and white zombie 2 pack. |
But what do yall want to happen? I dont get it? Speed up how?
|
@spacemafia,go read a page back and you will see that I infact support the character development and a solid story versus a zombie action show BUT the pace needs to pick up a bit, this is not guiding light either, one could in fact say if you want heartfelt drama go watch daytime tv,im just sayin...

BUT if you go back and read about the making of this show you will statements by the Crew, Kirkman and a few others that say this is a Drama....not an all out action show.... It is about the people and their drama not about The Zombies....they are a backdrop to these people and the new life they have because of the Walkers. I think people are expecting it to be an all out Zombie fest and they have the movies for that....this show is fantastic and if I was one of them Id sure as hell be glad I wasnt seeing Zombies every 5 mins... And the people saying its too slow....Id give up on it now, because its going to get badass next Ep or maybe even the one after, but then slow right back down..... |
Before it gets to that point lets keep this a civilized conversation. IMO, its a slow and boring show at times with not much character developing going on. Thats my point of view and my wife feels the same way. Yes you need a solid storyline and characters that you "know" to really make the show worthwhile but it's not moving at a quick enough show with it being an hour long and actually about 45 minutes with commercials thrown in. How much character development can happen in a 45 minute show based on the last couple of episodes on a missing girl and sick boy? Yes we know they are being compassionate about the girl missing and yes we know how Rick, his wife and Shane care about the boy but does that need to drag on through multiple episodes with not much advancement. I say support the show and watch because theres nothing else like it on TV but things could be improved. Thats my point. Yes the acting is excellent and the story is solid, that I can not disagree on at all. It's the pacing which slows considerably. Why couldnt they show some zombies when they went into town and not make it as easy as let's make love in the pharmacy instead of worrying about zombies being around?

Your about to get your wish with that Barn.....they are building up to something.... |

I know there can't be blockbuster action in every episode, but a couple more walkers to excite things wouldn't hurt. Just because the show is a drama does not mean there can't be any action thrown in there. |
SPOILERS - Highlight To Read
Its Coming......Dudes Brother has the little girl Theres close to 10 Zombies waiting in the barn.. And they havent even made it to The Govenor part yet where the entire jail gets swarmed by Zombies.... Im sorry but its people that "Gotta have it now" that killed The Event, Heroes and tons of other fantastic shows........ I like the pace and I love the show......... |
