Gravion is NOT a brave. Just the mechas were drawn by Kunio Okawara and so has similar designs to Brave.

Gravion doesnt have ANY sentient robots. Not AI. Not Energy life Forms. None. Its not a Brave. Has never been counted as one. Rayzer at least appared in the Shin Seiki Yuusha Taisen.

No it doesn't. One of the core components of Gaogaigar, Galeon, is a sentient robotic lion. On top of that, it merges with a human cyborg Guy to form Gaigar (again, sentient robot), who then merge with the non-living GaoMachines to form GGG. And Guy isn't piloting Gaogaigar at that point, he IS Gaogaigar.

Gravion, OTOH, is comprised solely of piloted mechs and is closer to Voltron or Super Sentai in that respect than it is the Brave series.

i didn't say just like gaogaiger i said that in most ways(except for the sentient robot part)
he is much like gaogaigar

How so? I'm really curious. In what ways do you think they're similar, aside from being combiners?

And the point I believe Roan was trying to make is that Gravion can't be a Brave because it's not sentient in some way, which is one of the defining characteristics of the Brave saga.

all the robots in dagwon with the exception of lian & gunkid aren't sentient

and as for roan's question
1.there should be a vid on you tube with gravion combining with the finel fusion track in the background
2.in my opinion his design looks much like if da garn x & gaogaigar made into 1 robot
3. the plots are extremely similar if you think about it
4.the way gravion is piloted is very close to the way guy piloted gaofighgar
5.in both shows the plot is triggered by the destruction of another planet outside of our solar system
6.the name of the bad guys in both shows make you think about the other(zondar-zerrivire
7.one of gravion's attacks(graviton tornado punch) is like gaogaigar's broken phantom
8.in both shows most/all of the good guys are members of a secret organization
9.in both shows the final battle is in space
10.in both shows some of the characters are thought to be dead for a while
11.the energy sources sound alike(g-stone-g-factor)
12.for both of them to combine they need to wait for a command from the main commander

that's only the resemblance to gaogaigar & still they are also some resemblances to other brave shows:
1.gravion strongest sword attack(white steel fang) is much like great exkaiser's sword(thunder crush)
2. ultimate gravion's combination is much like great baan gaan's combination
3.sol gravion's color scheme is much like that of power dagwon's
4.another one of gravion's attack's(graviton-oh)is much like one of da garn x's attack's(breast earth buster)
5.gravion's head reminds me of might kaiser's head
6.gran kaiser looks a lot like baan

Answerr to most of those resemblances: Homage. Gravion is NOT piloted like Gaogaigar. And Gravion is pilotted more as a machine than the Dagwons where (where they seemingly become one with the machine). The inclusion of Lian and Gunkid is enough. Gravion doesnt have ANY. Also Broken Magnum is just a homage to Rocket Punch!

All of those 'looking like another robots' resemblances are because THE SAME MECHA DESIGNER DREW THE CONCEPT ART. Gravion is seemingly a homage to many Brave themes but also super robot themes. But that DOES NOT mean it should AUTOMATICALLY be called a Brave. Layzer has a bigger chance of being acknowledge as a Brave than Gravion.

Hey Baangaan dude, if you want more solid Brave talk & lotsa ppl to argue & debate with you on the finer points of what's (or what's not) a Brave. :rolleyes:
