...or an MU wave dedicated to the movies? I.e. X3 - Jean Grey; FF4 Jessica Alba - Invisible Woman; PWZ - Jigsaw; Hulk - Emil Blonsky Abomination...

The next 6" figures we will see are more waves of Iron Man 2 6" figures at Walmart. As for 6 Marvel Legends, IIRC, Hasbro said 2011 but didn't elaborate. Remember, SDCC is coming soon and they are saving a lot of their big guns for that.

From what I understand, Hasbro said a few years back that all of the Toy Biz molds are in their possession.

Is the Marvel legends Ares wave completely extinct or could we see them again later, because i couldn't find guardian or crossbones more than 1 time?

Or Have you considered selling BAF parts individually on hasbrotoyshop for a small fee for those who couldn't get the figures? i emphasize on individually because someone might have been able to get every part except 1,so they could go to HTS for that last part

Unless you know of anyone who has those toys locally, I'd try Ebay. AFAIK that wave isn't being reordered. Also I doubt Hasbro is going to sell any on HTS.

Nick Fury from the Combat of Fury IM2 set is from Iron Man 2 but Nick Fury in the recent movies is based off of Ultimate Nick Fury who in turn has a likeness based off of and approved by Samuel L Jackson. So if you want something "close enough" the IM2 set Nick Fury is good, but not completely accurate for an Ultimate version. As for Iron Man we haven't seen an image yet so it's hard to say if it's really an Ultimate comics version.

Mike Deodato did draw package art for King Hulk, Sentry and I think he drew Aries too, and the drawings were later taken down. So I think the 1st 2 are coming(actually Sentry is in a comic pack but I'm not sure what he looked like in Siege).

Unless an other FF or Hulk movie comes out using those designs I doubt it.

Yeah, I forgot to mention Nick Fury after Cap, I want him if for no other reason than to have a great Samuel L Jackson figure, that would be awesome if we got Ultimate Iron Man in the series. I still need to pick up Hulkbuster and Titanium Man.

Johnnyakiba 06-03-2010 06:20 PM

Does anyone know if the IM2 Nick Fury will be realeased single card as well?

I Flarking hate that black spidey body:mad:LOL

I gotta admit I hate that body too and this is a decent idea

I speculated in another thread that him and Black Widow would not because they wouldn't come with an "armor card" and such, the theme of the line. Unless they decided to create a wave out of this theme, they could just come in box sets

They might consider using a repaint of the SM-4" line's "super-articulated" Spidey. That fig wasn't all bad.

IronLionTl 06-03-2010 07:52 PM

Any chance on seeing an Anti-Venom figure or should I just make my own? lol

The Day i see that figure and it looks even a little bit like the Marvel Select one, ill cry tears of joy.

I've wanted an Anti-Venom figure since i first saw him back in "New Ways To Die"

ahh good times...good times

Snowflakian 06-03-2010 09:26 PM

When will we know about some kind of checklist for the line to know what variants are what?

Can we get any comment about what to expect to see at SDCC?

Is the Dark Red daredevil a myth or real? For that matter, will we ever see him repainted into his Black, silver, and red costume?

ZeoVGM 06-03-2010 11:28 PM

Really hoping this question gets answered:

We have seen hi-res official images of the 5th wave of the 2010 series of Marvel Universe. The photo for Wolverine in his strike force/Team X costume shows him to be a repainted version of that same figure from the X-Men Origins line but with a new head. The main problem with this is that he has ball joints. Prototype pictures of this year's SDCC-exclusive Captain America have also popped up online showing him to have ball joints as well.

Basically, can you confirm for us with a straight up yes/no answer whether or not the final retail versions of those figures will have ball joints? Having ball jointed figures clashes with the rest of the MU line and it's kind of a disservice to the fans.

Hasbro 2010 Marvel QnA Answers For June

We also sent word to Hasbro that the fans here wanted a comic accurate version of Iron Patriot, this was after they asked the following:

Hasbro) We decided to use the "carded deco" on Iron Patriot because we have already featured him in numerous comic stylings. Is this a variant you were hoping to see? Let us know!
The Toyark) The fans at Toyark responded that yes they do want a comic accurate Iron Patriot.

Hasbro's response?

A) Regarding Iron Patriot; the version we've included in the line is one of many subtle variations of Iron Patriot from the comics.
Subtle my ass

Tarquinius 06-28-2010 05:23 PM

I found some other ones

I posted them here before this thread was started

Marvel June Q and A

Johnnyakiba 06-28-2010 07:33 PM

My big 3 are ANTMAN (O'Grady) NOVA (CLASSIC & MODERN) and WASP (CLASSIC, MODERN, & HANK).

That's it....that's all

Tarquinius 06-28-2010 07:42 PM

Good job TA. I think this round we had good questions with some good answers.

Aheld92 06-28-2010 07:45 PM

will the Ironman 2 line continue past 2010? If so will we be able to see some armored Female characters like Rescue, Ultimate Black Widow, or Iron Maiden

Also Movie Black Widow figure images were seen a few months back, when will she be available in stores, can we see more pics?

I wouldn't count on this happening...ever. Hasbro would have to secure the rights to the non-Marvel produced movies to make figures based off the movie designs. Meaning they'd have to strike deals with Fox, Lionsgate, etc. I highly doubt Marvel retains total ownership of the merchandising rights for movies they didn't produce. Basically, it would be too pricey for Hasbro to do, and wouldn't be worth it financially.

There's also the matter of actor likenesses which can be another whole ball of wax. Some actors have contracts stipulating that they have approval of some sort over their likenesses for merchandise.

I'm sure they could make an Incredible Hulk Abomination figure, if they wanted to. However, I think a comic version would do far better. You can still find the movie Abomination figure at some retailers.

Also look at all the movies that are slated to come out within Hasbro's contract of Marvel.

Avengers, Deadpool, Ghost Rider 2, Xmen First Class, Dr Strange, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 3 I'm sure..., Avengers 2 even (those last two are guesses)

We totally will have a lot of companion movie lines in the years to come

In deed. I haven't gone back to look for the MU deco in Dark Reign or Seige but IP is not so established in the Marvel halls that we should just get any one page variation where the coloring wasn't applied right. He should have been like he is overwhelmingly colored and the example at Toy Fair was a perfect deco. We need that one, Hasbro!

If you have complaints about distribution and availabillity, complain to your local retailers. They decide what goes on their shelves and what doesn't.

More than likely, that figure was already in the works when the decision was made to retire the mold.

Sage o' G-fruit 06-29-2010 09:14 AM

So I take it we aren't getting a comic-accurate Patriot, then?

They may not control it but it IS their product. They should think it's important to pursue the companies to put the product on the shelf. I don't think it should be up to the consumer to have to contact the store. What do we say? "PUT MARVEL FIGURES ON THE SHELF!!!"...The Store: "Ok sir?.."

There is a Hasbro rep at my store and her job is to make sure the product is on the shelf and displayed properly. I usually have a conversation with her about the distribution. Nice lady too.

makes me long for the good old days. where a kid in the 80's would be met with racks of figures twelve across and eight high.

now we have to write our state senators in order to get figures on the pegs. aw well...

I remember the same for Turtles in the 90's. K-Mart was FULL. No politics there.
