Interesting. This smells like a publicity stunt, like the recent Confederate Flag affair, or the scare about rice shortages and cotton shortages a few years ago that saw everybody pile into the grocery stores for rice, socks and underwear. Watch the sheeple chase after those shelf warmers. Canadians are manipulated like this all the time.

went to another local TrU....still no slave-1 amazon excl. siting!!! >.<

WVMARVEL 07-24-2015 06:50 AM

A few months ago I heard that TRU express had the Amazon exclusive Slave I. These are the TRUs in malls. I want back to the one where I found that Amazon exclusive Legacy Collection, and they had restocked. This time they were in the Amazon white shipping boxes.

Frank Richards 07-24-2015 03:45 PM

Finally! A hint, albeit a very small one, at what we can expect on Force Friday :

Jedi Temple Archives News: BREAKING NEWS! Meijers Goofs - New Hasbro E7 Toy Details Revealed!

With the event only six weeks away, I'm shocked that Hasbro has been able to keep such a tight lid on the upcoming Ep. VII figures.

I don't know how much the Slave I is going for, but the Amazon exclusive Legacy Collection figures are $30.

If referring to the Meijer news...if you think that Hasbro is going to release a BMF, with all the bells and whistles, for LESS than the original after the price jumps? You're deluding yourself.

I'm giving it a toss up between the Hero series Falcon from last Christmas with a couple of figure pilot spots or a new mold concept evocative of the old Kenner Falcon in size

Autobot_Goldbug 07-25-2015 04:51 PM

one can hope :p

Here's some vintage Star Wars appreciation:

Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Vintage Battle At Sarlacc’s Pit Board Game

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/...pswti9gbkv.jpg

Everything was complete, including the instructions on how to put it together and play.

Jlogano20 08-02-2015 01:29 PM

So am I crazy in thinking the black series 4 inch jawas work decently well in scale with the black series 6-inch figures?

Augustus_Cole 08-06-2015 12:08 PM

been out looking for IG-88 or Bossk....

I have had to go to amazon for my last few, the only one I ever got at TRU was the black pauldron Sandtrooper. Bossk and IG-88 are only around $20 with Prime. Walgreens and local grocery stores have been way more reliable for me in getting black series stuff.

As I've said before, Obi-Wan has joined slave Leia and Greedo in their misery haunting the Star Wars section of stores.

Specter 08-06-2015 05:31 PM

Got the Carbonite Han today, kinda tempted to give him the Echo Base coat and Hoth boots.

Yep, while out hunting last night and today, I saw that Walmart and Target both had nearly all of their Star Wars stuff on clearance, even newer 6" Black figures, like Stormtrooper Han, Stormtrooper Luke, and the Tie-Fighter pilot.
I passed on the Inquisitor's Tie Fighter from the Rebels line, on clearance for only $13, but I may return for it.

The only exceptions to the clearance prices seem to be the two newest waves of 3 3/4" Black figures, which are in these odd pre-Force Friday displays that seem to be popping up at Wal-Mart.
And yeah, the ridiculous $12.83 is the price for the 3 3/4" figures

EDIT: Now that I think about it, since I've shifted my attention to the 6" Black line, I've only purchased three 3 3/4" Black Series figures (Starkiller, R5-G19, and my brand-new Commander Doom) over the past 18 months.
They all came from either TrU or Books-A-Million, where I expected to pay a little more, so maybe $13 for the 3 3/4" figures has been the standard for the big box retailers for a while. I'm honestly not sure. Either way, I was surprised to see how much they sell for now.

i should've took some pics but one of my walmarts had some figures for as low as $2 (they were in an older package with Darth Maul in the upper right hand corner and some came with 3D glasses) and another had a few vulture droids and dewbacks walmart exclusives for like $21 i think it was! not sure how much they used to be....i forget. i saw the new hot wheels Star Wars vehicles on clearance too but it didnt say how much they were originally, so im not sure how much they were clearanced off tbh!

tgbobafett 08-08-2015 12:05 PM

finally got my hot topic order at the store today! the game came from gamestop tho and was down to $19.99! :D

put my pop vinyl boba next to my other bobbleheads and finally took a pic of my boba fett sunshade i got a while back!

the only bad thing about the floormats is that they were stapled together w/ huge staples and so now i have 4 holes (kinda small, but still) in each floormat! you can kinda see them better in the one on the right >.<

Has anyone seen the TRU Rancor Pit set in store? It's on the Canadian website, but it's sold out on the U.S. site. Want to pick one up with a coupon.
