Still...I'm scratching my head on it because I just did a recent search for X3 Juggernaut on card, and the carded versions of him are pushing between 35 to 50 and up. The hands by themselves were even worse! It's freaking Blob for crying out loud! Where the heck have I been?

I sold those Blob Hands for like 10 bucks too...lol. Oh well, I wasn't going to use them, and if helped that guy finish his BAF, I'm really happy for him.

I remember having a similar instance where I traded one of the legs for Ares in a deal that I almost felt was unfair, but the fellow Arker insisted that it was. Then again, I didn't realize at the time just how rare Crossbones was from that wave when he released, but I'm almost certain that Juggernaut was not a similar situation, as he peg warmed for months until finally going on clearance at my local TRUs...

In my experience, the FB groups that I was in had a much higher percentage of, shall we say, difficult traders than most forums. Not people who would wait to get your items and never ship their end, but the kind of people who would finalize a trade, say they were going to ship first and would be ready in a few days, and then sell the items they were offering you to someone else for cash because they found a higher offer, and make you hound them to find out why they hadn't sent. That kind of thing.

Man, I hope the new Wolverine is Jim Lee-styled. I've never liked the brown costume, though I could be swayed if the figure is really cool.

Wouldn't mind X-23 either, but I'm trying to build a '90s X-Men display and the prices for the last Wolverine are just stupid.

Lufaverde 05-12-2016 07:27 PM

Well I just had to weigh in on the Blob discussion, in my opinion no Brotherhood display is complete without him. I added the pic to show my love for him but don't mind the dust... Lolhttp://s20.postimg.org/q2v6ui0b1/image.jpg

Fuck yeah, all you need is Toad. Great set-up.

Lufaverde 05-13-2016 02:24 AM

Thanks, I don't really want the series 1 toad cause the articulation sucks but hav been thinkin of doing a custom of him... Does anyone know of any good custom recipes for him?

I just took that old Mystique out of Storage. She's thin, but she's a pretty solid figure.

I don't wanna mess up my White Tiger like that.

Does anyone have:

1. the "thumbs up" hand (or hands) from superior spider-man that they can part with? I'm not sure if that particular hand came with any other figure, but if it's the same sculpt, that's fine too.

2. A Nick Fury(Sam Jackson) head (toys r us 3-pack) that they don't need, or the whole figure if need be.

3. I need a Legends Wolverine figure and don't have one ...SUGGESTIONS?? or should i wait for whatever one that is being released this year??..

4.

1 - don't have that spiderman
2- don't have
3- for me my go to wolverine is the apocalypse BAF one, I like those proportions for Wolvie and he fits in with other legends better... But the thing about him is there will always be another one around the corner

I MIGHT have a Fury head. I'll look tonight when I get home.
I'll PM you if I do. Feel free to drop me a line in case I forget.

Haven't really looked or seen any but just off the top of my head what about a Doc Ock of some type? I know a bunch of them have been released. I think maybe trying to check out some of the 5" toy biz bodies for a custom might work also. Since he's kind of small anyway.

while the idea was good the execution was lacking. I'm gonna try and update her with the Epic Heroes one they released to a classic look.

Spyne98 05-13-2016 07:59 AM

I did an updated Mystique. I used the Madam Mask figure with the Epic Heroes wave Mystique head. I painted the blue up a bit to make it look more Mystique-y. I do need to add a skirt though.

Captain Nash 05-13-2016 08:02 AM

Man it's a shame about that Avalanche figure we have. I'd LOVE a classic looking Avalanche, but it's good I have that figure for now. I guess I look at it like it's a redesign, new costume, it's not as though they've never done that in the comics with characters before.

I love that figure. Probably one of the few that's different from the classic look that's awesome

I am pretty sure I have a spare set of Superior Hands somewhere in a parts bag. Might take me a few days to find it. I bought a couple of that figure. And I have a couple of the TRU Fury. I bought like 3 of that pack when it went cheep. I am more than willing to part with a Fury or two :-)

Definitely wait 'til after the reveal. Then either get that one, or go for the ML12 one. Bonus if you can get the ML6 one and the Daken version, cause I can swap parts and make a killer short Wolverine in brown costume. After that, all it needs is paint ;^)

Augustus_Cole 05-13-2016 12:18 PM

thanks for all the input/suggestions, etc.

i bought a winter soldier this morning for 15.00 at K-mart. Cool cause i need those mandroid legs. What kinda stupid gun did he come with?!?! I'm pretty sure he didn't use that "thing" in the movie.
..and WHY is K-Mart still in business..they are the worst.

oh I got this lil' nifty chica too...now I'm building Grooty-Groot
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps3snyfjge.jpg
there's so many goodies to buy when you get to the party late..ha

There is a better WS coming out soon in the 2-pack with Falcon so you can always use him in your display instead. Mandroids are cool.

Gamora is ok but if I were you I'd pop for the GotG 5-pack on Amazon. Just buy it for the price it is now. It's got the best comic-versions of the 5 core characters.

1. i can't find images of that new WS..from the two pack...

2. I like the movie figures of GoG because I really wasn't into the comic..I like this gamora ..i like the face sculpt even though I dont' really think it looks like Zoe S. I DO like the comic version of Gamora..but that's the only one I'd want.

WS looks great...Falcon looks like he sculpted the equivalent a 3.75in fig

Huge coincidence...i just started cleaning out (to sell) some figures and was selling a Juggernaut.. after looking on ebay today it was the X3 one...NOW I KNOW whose hands those were...ha..the other day I was looking at them and was like "whose fat chubby ass hands are these" ..didnt' know who had hands like that. My closest guess was E.Honda (sota) but I know they were sculpted a bit differently. Now i know i have a set of blob hands.

Interested in selling them or making a trade? :D
