The three pack hydra goon are cool- I look at them as commandos, not canon fodder like the classic goons. I also made some officers with the magic of waterslide decals and weathering-

I've said it a a few times- BUY DULLCOAT! Really, a light coat of Testors Dullcoat takes off that plastic shine and makes uniforms look like cloth- or at least less like plastic! Really helps on the SHIELD guys (though the ones pictured did not have their dullcoat at that point).

I've still got an unopened set of the goons 3-pack. I love it, and can't bring myself to part with it.

Shit, well sorry dude. I was just worried no one would want to pay retail + shipping for one with crappy paint apps.

You were right to skip it- bad paint apps ruin the best figures and you might as well just repaint the darker version if you're going to fix it.

Besides, the darker versions have possibilities- hopefully pics to come, once I renew my crappy Picturetrail account or find a better (free) service to host my pics!

I just wanted to share that since I picked up the new Gambit/Sinister comic pack I had a chance to compare the different versions of Gambit. I like certain things about each one, but I still say the original is better. The head is better on the old one, and the eyes look cooler for sure. By the way, you DC haters will just have to look past the fact that Supes is in the picture.

This one turned out great. I've still got quite a few of the DC guys, but only Batman and Supes loose. They're so bad ass.

Oh, and Gambit is truly epic too... which is why he is hanging out with Superman on one of my many overcrowded shelves.

Regarding that DCU line- the hips are the big problem with that stuff- it's SO distracting! also, tha's a pretty weakass cape on the man of steel.
Stick that head on a MU Cyclops buck, give him classic Thor's cape, repaint and call it amazing.

Yep! It is did him a while back used a red hulk as base figure.

How is that Marvel Chronicle book? I've been looking into getting a Marvel Encyclopedia type book.

At all my toysrus' it doesnt look like anyone bought them. The same sad pile sits there week after week. As a business standpoint it'd be stupid to release more.

The only retail is FE BB and all the Legends figure.
Yup RID line...rather have the FE though, the card is a lot better looking.

So is the only thing differant the card??

I have all the Takara prime on preorder...IMO look way better then RID...

Just got my Thanos/Adam Warlock set in the mail .. really nice set of figures. Im satisfied .. also scored Ronin, Guardian at Target. Got a Rick Grimes TV series figure and DrDoom/Reed Richards minimates set at TRU. Good day!

XMO Gambit and Banksy FTW!! what's with the red cape guy? what's his name again? ;)

i agree this version of Gambit is a lot cooler than the new release. the eyes make the difference. XMO version (which was a chaser for a long time) got a lot of hate after the MU version was announced, but not from me.
