all of this talk made me want to updated my collection site. I even finally separated Deadpool from the Marvel section. He needs his own section right?

Also think I may bite the bullet and get the new wave from BBTS. I was gonna wait for HTS or retail, but I've heard HTS will raise the price to $13 anyways. |

You also have to take some dio pictures of him vs Spidey Preferably in a sandbox!
See collecting variants like those make me think there is some kind of OCD going on. :D |

Yes Vulture is out
Marvel Universe Infinite Series 2015 Vulture Loose Action Figure | eBay It depends on which SINISTER SIX you want... Original Sinister Six[edit] After suffering three defeats in a row from Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus contacts every known supervillain that had crossed paths with Spider-Man. Only Vulture, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, and Sandman respond. As none of the members are willing to relinquish the honor of killing Spider-Man themselves, they decide to challenge Spider-Man individually, with the order in which they face him determined by random drawing. The Sinister Six kidnap Daily Bugle secretary Betty Brant and Aunt May, holding them hostage in order to force Spider-Man to confront them. Spider-Man defeats the Sinister Six one-by-one, mocking their decision to battle him individually instead of as a team.[2] |
I just realized we're on page 616! Yay.

Lol. While I love the 616 universe 1610 brought me back to Marvel after giving up on comics for almost a decade.

I've grown to hate the Ultimate universe. It has the worst comic event I can think of (damn you Ultimatum!), it did a lot of things for shock factor (including the ruining of one of my favorite characters, the Scarlet Witch, by making her incestuous), and they completely took away the threat of Thanos. Oh yeah and Galactus was just a swarm of space locusts or something. There were some good reads in the books but the overall feel of the universe just seemed like it was going for a totally different type of comic which would have suited all new characters better instead of butchering new renditions of classic characters.

I will agree that Ultimate books were a fun jump in point prior to Ultimatum.
The '90s were kind of a mess with too much going on. The industry exploded and then collapsed under its own weight. As much as I like him, Onslaught is a pretty strong indicator of how bad things were getting. That they had to resort to this (almost) truly unstoppable force to outdo what had been done before shows desperation. There are some gems of the '90s like the Infinity Gauntlet, but there are also things like the clone saga. |
I thought we all agreed it is forbidden to mention the Clone Saga or One more day lol....

I ride the fence on the ultimate universe, I didn't care for the "shock" factors and political statements, (gay Colossus, black Spidey, incestuous QU & SW, black Nick Fury, cannibal Hulk, and blob, wolverines son.. with the exact same powers as him, The fact that the villains always seem to win, and the constant Walking Deadish theme of anyone can die at any moment, just for the shock value. not to mention the crazy implausibility that a tidal wave could wipe out most of the X-men and heroes in NYC in one shot, (I mean Night crawler drowned in a subway!?! did he forget he could teleport?). but that said, a lot of the early ultimate X-men and spiderman stories were awesome and well written, I mostly regarded the whole ultimate universe as an ongoing "what if" series.
