I agree about Nic Cage, he doesn't act, his eyebrows do

for the record, there is nothing wrong with jiggling Megan Fox...

she likes the boys in the band and says that i'm her all time favorite.

"he doesn't act... his eyebrows do." LMAO!!!

+1 Veronica Mars.

I'm getting a similar vibe, he actually cracks some jokes, and doesn't sound like he is going to burst into tears at every moment.

MGTAJ 02-07-2012 03:35 AM

But Spidey must constantly cry about Aunt Em and why he constantly leaves her exposed to attacks!

I think what made the first 2 movies good, was the baddies....That's why the third sucked hairy nuts so bad...

The only thing I liked about the third film,is when peter went over to harry's house and kicked his ass...Best scene in the movie..

I thought Sandman was done really well in the third film, and the fight between Harry and Peter at the end was really cool. Shame about the rest.

I had issues with the direction of the franchise overall, mainly stemming from the early involvement of the green goblin (as well as his costume) and they way Peter Parker always had to have his mask off. I just don't think Sam Raimi is as big a Spider-man fan as he makes out to be.

Still, for Spider-man's first major movie outing they are pretty good, and I haven't watched them in a while. I should check them out again and refresh my overall opinion. Doc Ock is still the best thing about the trilogy, despite the weird schizo personality they added and his strange plan of drowning the equivalent of a sun at the end.

Sooooooooo, hi! Guess I'm new here, but I'm an oldie on TFW. This is my favorite line and I hope I can help some of you out in the future scorin' some sweet figs. I live in a pretty isolated area, we don't get much stock, but when we do, some rad stuff pops up.

But yeah, nice to meet ya all.

ALOPEZ527 02-07-2012 06:25 AM

Yellow ironfist dragon is the original ot the variant. the Black Ragon is the variant so I doubt you'll get the yellow one in the stores. Your best shot is one of those specialty stores or ebay....

Welcome to toyark, glad you could make it over here. We've traded a few times on TFW i believe (my name there is Darkhawk 79, wish I could change it here too) and I can vouch for Scythe being a stand up guy.

I'm reserving judgement on the Spider-Man movie until it is in theaters. I can already say that I hate the Lizard, and from the trailer, I can tell I will hate that Peter Parker helped create the Lizard. In this movie, Dr. Conners seems a little like Norman Osborne - a little unstable after his accident. What makes this move disappointing is all the work the previous movies did to set up a Doc Conners/Lizard moment.

I will say that I like that they are going back to something the previous trilogy lacked, and that is the brilliant Peter Parker. The second movie is the only one that really dealt with this in a meaningful way (and it was of course the best of the three movies).

I like that Stacey gets a meaningful role and is placed in her rightful place as Parker's first real girlfriend.

But, I worry that this movie will so try to get out of the shadow of the earlier trilogy that it will lose what made those movies a nice addition to the Marvel Universe.

SoundWave88 02-07-2012 08:10 AM

Is that Legends Iron Man a repaint of one from the movie line, 1st or 2nd movie?

I'm looking forward to it. It's Spiderman!

I think people get a little too worked up over comic book films. Some are great, some suck, but they're usually entertaining and that's what this is all about. The only comic book "type" (not sure how to classify it) movie that I thought was so bad that it shouldn't have been made in recent memory was that GI Joe movie with the guy who is in a lot of those movies where they have gang dance-offs in back alleys.

DogFashionDisco 02-07-2012 08:24 AM

Wow, they might have actually made a decent Spiderman movie. Maybe....

A fellow arker found a yellow dragon recently at the PX on base. I continue to be jealous...

Does anyone want this extra set of Avengers Minimuggs? I might be taking them back soon.

Wow, that was nice, much better than the previous one I saw.
2012 is shapping up to be a good comic movie year, maybe better than 2011.

Hell, even Ghost Rider is looking good. Maybe we can get a good FF reboot soon.

I'm sure at some point Peter or MJ have referred to Aunt May as Auntie 'M' or 'Em' short for May. Though why you would abbreviate a one syllable word is beyond me....
