That's coming along pretty wow! Great work so far!

Are you going for wood railing or going to paint those too to look metallic?

Anyway, keep up the amazing work!

bmorr 05-30-2015 03:23 PM

Yeah i'll stick with the wood for now.

Railings along the catwalk?!?! What if he wants to pose Star Wars empiral figures on it.... railings could spoil the authenticity!!! :)

Looks ace buddy!

ukmu 05-30-2015 03:36 PM

Your man shelf is looking good GG!! One suggestion I would offer, perhaps have HYDRA beating up Cap? Then you don't need to balance them as they can just pile on. That, and we all know evil always prevails....... Hail Hydra.

Kernel 05-30-2015 03:52 PM

@bmorr is that a mashers sound wave? I gave away what few transformers I had to a nephew, but soundwave is by far my favorite decepticon. I should have picked up a masterpiece soundwave.

yup. it is. I have never been happy with the releases for soundwave, aside from MP they were never quite right. sadly, the mashers version its the closest ive seen to get the g1 look right, and still looks good with the generations line.

heres a pic with the others:

As for accessories, this goes perfectly in scale with our 3.75 stuff:
Amazon.com: Bruder Toys Linde H30D fork Lift with Pallet: Toys & Games
Amazon.com: Bruder Bworld Logistics Set with Man: Toys & Games

As for me, I just finished to redo my display and wanted to share with you... unfortunately I don't have as much space as you have, as I'm just allowed to put my toys in my "man area" by the strongest cosmic being of the house: la wife!

Anyway, the pics:

bmorr 05-31-2015 04:24 AM

hey thanks jackie. that dio was built in only a couple hours.

jedirulz123 05-31-2015 01:44 PM

So, I wanna get the Ant Man Legends wave for the Movie Ant Man, Giant Man, Wasp, & the BAF Ultron, but I don't really want Bulldozer, Grim Reaper, or Tigershark. Anyone collect legends here and wanna go halfsies on those 3 when they're released?

I should probably ask the Legends thread lol

bmorr 05-31-2015 02:56 PM

im only gonna be looking for that giant man, and if anything like the retail situation now, its not gonna be hard to find. no one is buying legends in my area. plenty stocked.

I will also be getting Giant Man to go with my MU display, I'll probably get Wasp too but she'll go with my legends.

I think one of the weirdest points in the Janet/Hank relationship was, recently, in Rage of Ultron when Janet started talking to her ex-husband about how she had a kid with Havok in an alternate future and then Kang took said daughter. Hank fails to accept the similarity between her story and what happens with Ultron.

samsson37 05-31-2015 03:56 PM

When does that series come out ?

I also want giant man. Funny I was JUST saying how the Legends are peg warming in the UK Marvel Universe Collectors thread. I think it's a lot easier for a kid (which is probably a good chunk of the market) to convince his soccer mom to buy a $13 figure than a $20+ figure. If the Legends, mashers, and 2.5" figures continue to peg warm like crazy hopefully hasbro brings back vonner.

Or they could be horrible and look at it as a sign that Marvel toys are no longer profitable and slow down their figure productions even more.

I love Vonner, but Hasbro doesn't need "him" to figure out the winning balance for collectors, casual fans, and children/parents: reasonable pricing+ decent sculpting and articulation+ Variety. I believe this can only be achieved in 1:18 scale. This scale is in my opinion a no brainer! (especially since Hasbro invented the damn thing) you get an opportunity to have compatibility between some of the biggest toy lines in history like Star Wars and GI joe, without any licensing or legal bull shit. all I'm saying is I think Hasbro has put to many eggs in the legends basket, the area I live in is not the best for toy hunting, that said right now I could drive to two walmarts and pick up the entire Hobgoblin, Oden, Groot, and Avengers waves still! yet the one case of MI which was the Wonderman wave has sold out at one of those walmarts! which blows my mind considering it was mostly Guardians repacks and the GOTG box set collected dust on the clearance rack for almost two years, but what ever people are dumb as hell some times.

snake5289 05-31-2015 07:01 PM

Yup Legends sell like **** around here. Guess this is what happens when you try and tank a line of figures just because you're not a fan of the size.

It gives me a jolly good laugh I have to say.

En Sabah Nerd 05-31-2015 07:31 PM

My Wal-Mart doesn't even carry any 1/18 scale Marvel stuff anymore and when my local TRU does open a new case of MI they open two or three cases of Legends and then when I go back later only the MI are actually gone. So the stores that do get the 1/18 stuff sell out of it but they continue to show preference for the Legends figures which hug the pegs for a good while.

Kernel 05-31-2015 07:37 PM

It's exactly the same here. Only way to get my MI figures is online.

Some savage land appreciation:

Don't say that lol... If they slowed down the MI figures any more we would hardly see anything.

Snowflakian 05-31-2015 07:47 PM

Ditto here.

Target recently has finally managed to keep MI stocked a bit, but for the most part it moves much faster than their legends figures do.

And lately, the only MI that's ever peg warmed has been the more recent wave and the overabundant Ironman/Cap/Spider-man/Thor ones. Those always sit on shelves, but the new characters vanish within the week.

New MI like Lucas Bishop and Sandman have started becoming the local peg warmers though. That's not really all that unexpected though. I'm willing to bet the new Doc Ock will also shelf warm a little bit, but that's mostly because many will want the superior spider-man Otto instead.

Bishop I'm a little surprised because of DOFP, but also not so surprised because it's his 90s toon outfit and first appearance costume where many might want whatever his newest comic costume is, or the Messiah War outfit to go with their Cable.

Sandman didn't shelf-warm at first here, but now even his variants are easy to come by. While he is a villain, he's one of those rare ones where people are indifferent on him. Outside of the 90s animated and older comics, he really doesn't have much of a presence to stand out to kids or collectors alike. Many are indifferent towards him.

Thanks to avengers assemble(I'd assume at least) even Nighthawk and Hyperion have managed to move at a decent pace locally after not budging at all initially.

Two of my targets have restocked that wave at least twice here. And I mean heavy restocked to flush. The first time I saw them in store. No black cat. The second time two black cats and I bought one of them. The next time I went shopping must have been the day after they restocked because there were now 4 black cats. And isn't she the short packed of the case?

I've still yet to find Red She-hulk ever on shelves either.

Not only may Mysterio get neutered, but Kang might get stabbed by Elektra.

kylactus 05-31-2015 08:16 PM

^I'm more disturbed by Rocket getting ready to do a proctology exam to Patriot.
