May be a lost cause asking this but just got into Legends and finally scored a Hulk I like used off ebay. However one hip is so loose that the leg swings freely when you pick him up. It still holds most poses though. Its the gamma punch one that came with a Banner figure. My question is do any of you Legend collectors have a way to tighten the joint that you could share with me?

Oh and one more stupid question for you guys. Are any of the Marvel Select figures in scale for Legends. I know most aren't but what about the larger characters like the Hulks,Juggernaut,Rhino, etc.

I got answers for you. You can fix that loose joint, by using some clear nail polish *(top coat) chances are your mom/sister would have some, or it's like $4 a bottle, you put some in the joint and work the joint around, moving the top coat in there, eventually the top coat will become an inner layer that will help regain the tightness you want.

Marvel select figures do run on the larger scale compared to ML. So if your a scale junkie, and want things in scale, stick with the large figures, A-bomb, Hulk, Rhino, Watcher, Venom. Figures like Deadpool, captain america, etc are nicely sculpted/painted but very large compared to ML figures.

Try this: Custom Marvel Legends: The Super Glue Trick - YouTube

My Frost Giant had a really loose right foot which made him fall over at the slightest vibration, but now his foot is nice and sturdy. Be careful though. Don't let it fuse permanently!

And I'm not really a 6" collector, but I think the bigger characters would work, depending on how you feel about scale. Artists interpretation of lots of characters' size is always so all over the place. Mephisto and Watcher are two that I'd definitely recommend getting.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I picked up a Select Thanos who works well with the Legends so I'm gonna get a Juggernaut. I'm still on the fence about the Hulks so can anyone post a pic of either Select Red or Green Hulks with Legends I would really appreciate it.

I'm waiting for the movie one to pop from somewhere although he might be the same size as hulk :L

Nice collection you have there :) But shouldn't Winter Solider & Scarlet Spider be on the heroes shelf?

With WS, it depends on the version. As WS, Bucky was a "villain" first, though I believe the longer hair was after he became good again. Personally, I think he and Jason Todd should grab a pint and tell Steve and Bruce to kiss their collective asses. ;)

And technically Kaine was a supervillain at one time, just not while he's been in that particular suit as the 4th Scarlet Spider. Now if it was the Joe Wade version in that pic....

Here are some quick shots of Red Hulk with ML. He's in the back of one of my displays, so I couldn't get the best of shots.

Thanks for the pics Spoon so I gather you use the Select Hulks and Abomination. You don't think they're too big? I'm leaning towards them but so many have said they're too big. I agree somewhat but since the ML Thor is 8in. I figure Hulk needs to be bigger and I haven't found any 9in. Hulks. So until they do one I may go Select versions for Hulk,Rulk, and Abomination.

I just started using the Marvel Select figures for my oversized heroes/villians such as the Hulk, Juggernaut, Abomination, Rhino, Venom. I like those characters to be larger than life as they are often portrayed in the comics. I do wish Marvel Select would make a better Thing figure though.

Serious Lee 12-11-2013 05:08 PM

I agree 100%, especially about Thing, one of my all time faves has never gotten sized properly yet in any line.

Selects are typically 7'', and ML are typically 6'', so from the get go they're out of scale. Put a MS BW next to a ML BW and there's a giant difference. Blending in smaller characters to scale with prexisting ML is hard, except when you go with the larger figures. Which for the most part are villians. In most cases where there's a character that ML and MS made, ie Abomb, the ML has great range of motion and articulation, but MS kills them in the paint and sculpting. Plus some figures like Venom are just so well made that honestly who cares.

I found a ML movie iron patriot at Ross yesterday for $7. It was too good a deal to pass up.

I think it's a really good figure, tons better than I was expecting. The only draw back is how flimsy the shoulder cannon is, otherwise very nice.

Serious Lee 12-12-2013 02:24 PM

I know that we'll be able to build the Ultimate Green Goblin from the first case of the Spider-man wave, and that the RC's will have the same parts in the second wave. I'm happy about this for sure, but with the Cap wave we will be getting 2 sets of arms in the first case. I'm trying to build at least 2 Mandroids and maybe up to 4, but I don't know which other figures that I'll need to buy multiples of and how many of each to have the even amount of BAF pieces. I haven't read it anywhere yet, and I've been looking, but does anyone know what the part pack out is? I'm trying to make a list to prep my LCS guy lol

From what was hinted at for the Cap Legends and shown at SDCC or NYCC, series 2 will only be Movie cap, Movie Widow, and Movie Winter Soldier with no swap out figures. No idea what Mandroid part will come with whom, but a good guess would be Widow will have the torso because of the size ( and Black Cat from the Spidy ML comes with the Goblin torso) and the boys will each come with a leg.

We actually covered the Wave I case break down in our news post from December 1st when the case listings went up on BBTS. We have not received news of the Wave II break down yet.

Whoa! I must be losing it. I looked at that page at least 5 times lol. Thanks, and sorry for the drawn out rambling up there.

I guess we are to assume that WWII Cap comes with no BAF part

trebleshot 12-13-2013 07:31 AM

That'd be my guess as well. This is assuming the remaining BAF pieces are the torso and both legs and that they come with the three figures Phantomcrow mentioned for Wave II.
