Byrnes had some solid advice there. I have always felt supported by my wife (who is, somewhat way out of my league...) At one point in our previous home, my collection was getting a bit ... a lot out of hand. When we moved into our new home last year, that really gave us both an opportunity to discuss how we wanted to make room for all (5) of us. We settled, to my great joy on a display cabinet which she chose, smack dab in the middle of the living room, with a rotating roster of Marvel Legends displays. I keep all my other figures in boxes sorted under our bed and a few around to fiddle with. This is the display cabinet she chose: Hope you both find a way to work this out. Edit- My wife says: He could ask his wife if she herself has a problem with the figures, or if she's afraid she'll be judged for them by other people. (option two is way more favourable!!!) |

I’m not exactly certain whether you were meaning to show off your display or solicit advice from the thread regarding the conundrum you’re currently facing. If it’s the former; nice collection! I like the fairly equal representation of Toy Biz and Hasbro Marvel Legends. Nice to see Surfer and Bill displayed so prominently; as they richly deserve, I might add! I’m also a big fan of both characters, obviously. Seems like you’re growing into a second Deltof. Which brings me to the ambiguous nature of the language used in your post. I don’t want to seem too presumptuous, but you and your wife sound like you’re going ‘through it’ a bit. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, considering that you two are married, but the most successful unions involve a healthy amount of mutual compromise and boat-loads of two-way communication. A little give’n’take. Byrnes already mentioned presenting your (‘our’ opinion as comic/toy fans) perspective, but there’s always another side to seeing things. Along the lines of Donmeca2020’s inquiries, you may want to explore exactly why your wife is so ruffled by your collection. Is it that she fears it will grow beyond your capacity to control? This is the usual concern of our non-collecting paramours. Is she worried that you’ll spend uncontrollably? That is a REAL problem for many of us. Or is it something else? A woman I was dating years ago had a problem with my gaming hobby. It was a considerable bone of contention between us, which we often argued about when spending time together at our respective apartments. I began to curtail my time spent gaming to levels that were, in my opinion, beyond reasonable. I was particularly flummoxed by her irritation given that, while not a ‘gamer’ per-se, she did play video games. It wasn’t until I ‘actively’ listened to her that I learned why she felt threated by my gaming. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the amount of time I spent gaming. I had developed a tendency to use gaming as a way to shut her out when I wasn’t happy with the dynamic of our conversations or the condition of the relationship. It became my impregnable shell in many ways. I’m not suggesting that this is what’s going on for you two, my point is listening and communication. I used the term ‘active listening’ because it is an important skill and powerful tool in any relationship. A lot of people ‘hear,’ but don’t listen actively. There’s a difference. Since I’ve learned the value of this concept, I have actually ‘spooked’ some women (not the goal, by any means). I’ve received comments like, “you pay too close attention; I almost feel like you are probing me for flaws or weaknesses.” I laugh it off and have learned that that sort of response is mostly the result of being unaccustomed to being genuinely listened to. A little exploration of her perspective may go a long way toward reaching an effective compromise. Sorry ‘bout the long response…I just got the sense that you might earnestly be reaching out for opinions. Good luck! |

Anybody else feel like Hasbro has been real on point this year? Ton of new molds + parts, the figures themselves have been coming out stellar and their character selection has been aces for the most part. This year has yet to see a single "meh" figure and they'd been steadily increasing the size of their BAFs. Legends is in a good place right now.

Hasbro giving fans a nice mix of classic comic book, MCU and now X-men along with extra heads, hands is what is awesome.

Definite improvements across the board, but distribution is becoming a problem (in the northeast region of the North American continent...things seem to be improving for Europe - well, at least for the UK...unless some of the pics I'm seeing represent online orders and not brick-and-mortar, if so, scratch that) and I don't agree with some of the character selections.

@Symbi
Yeah, other than that, everything is pretty gravy... I can deal with the character stuff, there are always going to be a few that don't pique your interest. |
With it being so popular would actually like to see them branch out a little with some of the not so mainstream stuff. Maybe an exclusive wave of Inhumans or some team like that.

However i agree with BlueMarvel. These things are hard to come by... at least locally, i have not even seen wave 2 of the Cap series in stores yet... not sure if this is all across the states but it is a real bummer. |

@Symbi Congrats on graduation, man!! |
I know everyone is searching high and low for the Giant Man wave, but has anyone seen or have an idea when the exclusive waves come out, such as the Walmart Winter Soldier and Falcon and the Kate Bishop 3 pack?

It then comes to my mind that why are these stores still even stocking the much older waves?? I mean granted they want to sell them but no one apparently wants or needs them. |
