I did manage to find a Black Series Kylo Ren today at my local Target. There was only one other one left so I'm guessing he's going to be hard to find in the immediate future.
I managed to snag one as well. One of the two at my local target. No other place I went had one. Only saw one 3 3/4 Kylo the whole day. Didnt see any 3 3/4 Rey's at all

I doubt it.
I just took a look at my Walmart.
All the Force Awakens stuff was barely touched.
They put the lone Han Stormtrooper in the clearance aisle for FULL price.
Then there was the future Star Wars spot in the aisle...

There was NO SPOT FOR THEIR OWN 3.75 inch EXCLUSIVES!

picked up a couple of things from Walmart this morning and then went to TrU and grabbed a poster or 2 for me and my friend! :D

Is this guy worthy of joining such an elite squad? I guess we will find out in 4 months!

Star Wars Black Series Imperial Shadow Squadron, unfortunately only available from scalpers now: https://www.google.com/search?q=star...Ch0NBAnZ&dpr=1

The new SW Micro Machines are great, I got the Endor Forest Battle set and its like my Star Wars figures have Star Wars figures:

The walker is ok, the top rotates, but you have to bend the legs back to get it to stand. The speeder bikes with the minifigs are awesome though, may have to try and get some of the other sets that come with figures.

Black Series because they have more pose, more little details, and are actually toys plus there's more variety and chance for more secondary characters. I think the Elite figures look good except for the screws, but then the lack of pose knocks 'em down for me. I've also always had issues with die-cast figures getting insanely loose because they're metal, so when the weather shifts majorly from season to season it gets to be a problem if you want to change how you display them. I also don't care for how some of the Elite figures pose joints look, like when the Stormtrooper bends his knee it just looks anatomically wrong, it doesn't ruin the figure at all but it looks off. Mainly though it's pose that makes my decision here. The fact that you can't make the Elite Stormtrooper hold its blaster with both hands at all is kind of a bummer since that's like the thing Stormtroopers are always doing, most of the other figures have enough pose to get into a good look but the trooper is denied its typical stance. I also feel like some characters just won't work in the Elite series with its metal, like Chewbacca whose fur would probably look really strange, whereas the Black series can pull off almost any texture/material since it's a mix of plastic and soft-goods.

I like these figurines!

Dr Kain 09-07-2015 05:27 PM

So yeah, what was the big deal about this weekend when it came to Star Wars? Target and TRU's isles are as barren today as they were 6 months ago, so nothing has changed as far as I am concerned. Neither of them had any 6 inch figures, or even a price tag for them, the only had vehicles, role play items, and giant dolls. Hasbro over hyped this weekend and dropped the ball majorly.

No, Hasbro over hyped one specific day and then everybody grabbed everything on that day leaving nothing afterwards. I saw that my stores did stock their aisles to the brink and then within the hour of release all of the scalpers and people who had nothing to do on Friday cleared them out entirely. It's pretty goddamn sad that I got to bear witness with my own eyes to one guy with two carts full of everything at TRU because he was one of the first ten people in line. Seriously, who the hell gets two carts completely full of multiples of everything?!

i saw that one TrU the other day had a sign up saying only 3 of each per customer....guess he only got 3 of each technically heh

my local walmart (5 minutes from me) never put up their shipper or w/e on the main toy aisle! i told the asst mgr that i saw that most walmarts did theirs weeks ago...and he said oh? damn shame! all they had was the cardboard display in the back of the store near electronics is all >.>

Lol I wish my tru had been like this. Mine looked like it was ransacked before the doors opened. The only star wars product other than lego and mashers are six new tie fighters 1 weird alien guy and 2 old black series bar fly guys. Those black series have so much dust on them my allergies act up in the parking lot.

Right ?! I don't think I can ever recall seeing someone buying a two or three cart load of figures , out of all the star wars figure releases I can recall it seems there were alot more scalpers this time around.

I picked up Poe’s X-Wing Fighter Die-cast vehicle today at a Disney Store, one of their many exclusives for the forthcoming Star Wars film that strangely enough I didn’t see for sale on their website. As I said in the "Look what I just got" thread, the packaging has a large window and that makes it a bit hard to photograph properly in its unopened state.

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/...psgcanskqx.jpg

I do have a few peripheral notes about it, some of which could be possible spoilers.

BB-8 is in the astromech area so perhaps Poe borrowed him for a mission that will be disclosed in the film. It could also be surmised that Poe is his original owner, explaining why photos exist of BB-8 in a large net.

Poe is the leader of Black Squadron thus his call sign for his X-wing is Black 1 which explains its paint scheme of all black with orange and silver highlights.

There are three individual landing gears that can be manually removed. They all have a weathered looking appearance.

Since the wings are in the open position I’m assuming the wings open and close like with the vintage die-cast X-wing fighters in the ‘70’s.

A lot of these X-wings had warped laser cannons in the package so I suggest going to a Disney Store to get one. They were in plentiful supply so getting one shouldn't be a problem if you have access to a Disney store or if you know someone who can pick one up for you.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. If Hasbro couldn't provide enough product to keep shelves full beyond the first day, then they have failed as a company. Stores should have been given enough product for weeks, if not longer. Not to mention they should have been receiving a constant flow of shipments so that the stores actually looked like they had product to begin with.

kylactus 09-07-2015 08:24 PM

Hey, it's not like Star wars is literally the largest toy/ collector property in the history of the planet with billions of dollars of merchandise spanning almost four decades. How could a little company like Hasbro have possibly foreseen such interest? I'll bet most theaters only show it on one screen....

So your blaming Disney? ;)

No actually you agree with me, I never defended Hasbro and I think how they handled this entire ordeal was piss poor at best. The fact that my local TRU only had enough for the first ten people in line at the midnight event and hasn't restocked since is atrocious. Each store should have been given enough product to fill the aisle four times over so that there would still be something for the rest of the week.

kylactus 09-07-2015 08:39 PM

if the mouse shoe fits.... but toy wise, I'd have to give the bastard mouse a pass. Hasbro has been handling SW since they killed and ate kenner. they've even been through one trilogy at the toy helm. Hasbro just seems to have gone to shit for movie merch as of late: see, Age of Ultron, and Jurassic World. Keven Costner's 1991 robin hood flick got cooler toys! we do all know that the new SW flick is going to break records, hopefully revive the passion of old school fan boys, and bring a whole new generation of fans on board, and possibly exercise the demons of JarJar. so there should be no way Hasbro wouldn't push the hell out of this! I remember when episode 1 toys hit, it was on the world news, there were fist fights for darth maul figures (by the way if anyone needs any ep1 figs hit me up I have an attic full). now they release a hand full of figures and other items.
