Anyway, I know I'm in the minority, but I really do want Classified versions of these guys in these designs:

What do you mean? They have gloves?

Yeah, you're in the minority. While I don't hate Extreme, I don't love them either. However, if they do make them, I'll buy them. Just to show my support for the obscure guys.

I think he may mean the forearm guards, which they do have, they're just not pictured in the image he uploaded.

I have very little knowledge about Extreme at all, but the reason I skipped them is the form factor, not the characters. I'd be all for Classified releases, the more characters the merrier, in my book.

I really feel like Extreme got the shaft. The cartoon was very 90s and as such, didn't age well, but I loved the mythos the comic started to build before it was pre-maturely canceled. The biggest issue is people just wanted the GI Joes they grew up with and weren't willing to look at anything different.

It's why in my own head canon the Extreme team is actually the pre-cursor to the classic team and that some of Cobra's tech came from the remnants of SKAR (the terrorist group from Extreme).

Amazon proper had Heavy Artillery Roadblock up tonight. I put an order in but it says the delivery date is July 11-12. Finger's crossed this time.

Apparently for $35 you can get one a lot sooner from other sellers.

I’ve waited this long since Amazon screwed up my original order. I’d rather rather wait a bit longer and pay Amazon the MSRP than pay a higher price to a scalper.

Well I also ordered one at MSRP due in July but apparently it's already been shipped. Hopefully yours will too.

Yeah. It was very much a product of the Dark Ages of comics. It wasn't the worst comic of that time, that cake goes to Heroes Reborn. I liked that a faction that wasn't COBRA was added to the GI Joe rogues gallery. I liked that SKAR was actually a national guard for a foreign nation as opposed to a non-state terrorist group. The biggest problem Extreme had was that too many characters were just carbon copies of the ARAH characters, so it begged the question as to why establish new characters if their personalities were just going to be the same as the ARAH characters. In general, it just ended up being a wash. I did like that Iron Klaw and Sgt. Savage were featured in comics like IDW's Revolutionairies.

I'd have been all in on Sgt. Savage if they hadn't have screwed up the scale.

Are those finally hitting shelves in the US? I'm planning on heading to Vintage Stock tomorrow to sell some old stuff, I'll see if they've hit shelves at VS then there's a Wal-Mart near it I can check.

MeLikeJinx 06-27-2022 07:38 PM

I hope these hit Macys TRU... my Macys had tons of the Flint/Lady Jaye waves and like... hardly anybody goes to my Macys.

jwyss234 06-27-2022 10:37 PM

Pulse charged me tonight for Storm Shadow and the Cobra Officer.

Word on the 'tank is that this wave is starting to ship across most e-tailers. Aside from a BBTS PO for Croc Master, I have no real skin in the game for this wave, but I am really glad to see them going out, I'm hoping it will assuage the constant bitching I see in regards to this line (predominately there, of course. You lot are like a damned oasis, which is why I sign in here. Us Joe guys are only marginally better than Star Wars and Nintendo fans, apparently).

The Tank has become a miserable place.

Yeah, it has. A lot of that kinda coincides with the start of Classified, actually. I know, correlation doesn't equal causation, but... well, I'm kinda preaching to the choir, eh?

Same here, along with Spirit (which I'm excited for most). Those three pre-orders actually represent my initiation into Classified. I've been playing catch up since then.

Dr Kain 06-28-2022 07:58 AM

Man, Pulse charged me for Croc Mater, Storm Shadow, Spirit, and my Cobra Troopers and then Amazon was about to do the same so I canceled everyone but the troopers.

And now appaently Amazon is going to charge me for some of the X-Men preorders. Too many preordered items coming in at one time.

...and now we know why Fiona includes babies.

I have to agree that is definitely one of the causes. And this one kitbasher that hijacks damn near every thread.

Speaking of Tanks HasLab will be $300 Hisstank. Wonder if it will come with any figures like a driver and 4 or 5 repaints...

HoovenIV 06-28-2022 02:17 PM

I only try to stick to the Vintage and Buy/Sell forums over there since every other section just seems...........horrendous. But it's always nice to see Joe talk over here.

I've been playing catch up too. GI Joe Classified brought me back into action figure collecting as a whole. I started with the Snake Eyes movie figures and have been playing catch up since.
