but thinking back... i prolly shoulda grabbed one. the look is ok, articulation would be hit or miss, and at least it came with a flying/action stand. |
I use SS Thing for my Heroic Age New Avengers. The only other accurate one is the team pack Fantastic 4 Thing but he's in my Fantastic 4 (lol).
Wouldn't mind picking up a Moleman & Doc Ock. The rest IMO are meh. |
i just had the shs cyclops and green goblin. both were loose at some of the joints but super tight at other parts. thing would be the only one i'd want but ended up just fixing up the MU one. also bought a broken spiderman and used it to smash together with one of the first MU spidey's to make a pretty ok one.

haha thanks dudes. figured i'd hodgepodge a spidey together that i'd be happy with till hasbro makes one. if not then at least i'll have this one.
originally got the shs spidey from frank and sons to use by himself only to find out later that it'd been glued at most of the elbow and the bicep swivel was fused. forced the shoulder and it broke but i figured the lower legs and forearms and heck even the head can be useful. |
woah that spiderman owns. the wrists really make that fig.
|
I have the Thor SHS only! He seems very sizeable to the MU figs...like how big thor should be...

I have both figs and was thinking of doing something like this. Now I think I know my plans for the night. How was it you went about the whole ankle neck thing??? Anyways awesome work man! |
and that hammer is just wicked. i take it back, there's actually more than a few shs figures i'd like to own but don't feel like hunting. like that variant beast to repaint. and thor i'd want for just the hammer to give to modern thor or leave as is.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...e/IMG_6843.jpg of course one could always transplant the neck of another toy or something but i was trying to be minimal in amount of figures used which usually means more dremel work. |
