Although I think ToyBiz hit it out of the park with this one, Deathlok is actually a figure I wouldn't mind seeing an updated take...perhaps an Agent of Shield or X-Force version perhaps?

Finally got a hold of the Arnim Zola, and at a great price. I had been going nuts trying to find this version at a sane price, but he apparently is a bit rare, as opposed to the Red Skull variant that seems to be so popular and can be found all over ebay. I still will have to paint the camera eye yellow or gold, but I'm excited to finally have him regardless!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

i also like Deathlok, that modern version they made about last year just sucked.... the one you just picked up should definitely be remade by hasbro sometime in the future.

Not that i'm aware of however they made him modern in the comics about year ago.... i wasn't too keen on him. i prefered the original.

Both original Deathloks are better than that new piece of shit. Luther Manning and Michael Collins were each cool in their own ways but had enough in common to appeal to the same group of fans, they never said his name but I'm pretty sure the Deathlok who joined up with Uncanny X-Force was a version of one of them. The new one was just made to jump on the fact that cheaplok showed up on Agents of Shield.

Florida locations...

So, my fellow Marvel Legends collectors... Im currently in the Fort Walton Beach/Mary Esther area in Florida and Im looking to see if anyone knows of good spots to go "toy-hunting" for Legends in the area. I'll be in town for two weeks..so any spots or stores are appreciated. I will only be available to hit some of the stores up in the afternoon as I am in town on business, not vacation.

warmachine6 06-20-2016 03:34 AM

so had a thought with new x-men wave 1 , with juggernaut. anyone think if we request to hasbro , do what did with onslaughts head ?, but have a helmet less juggernaut head in wave 2.
I know they did with onslaught cause of hes mainly an x-men villain, be also a nice wave to add more to a previous BAF , maybe

I find it very strange that Hasbro has announced what the Transformers exclusives are at SDCC, but nothing for legends yet. They even released official images for the exclusive Fortress Maximus. With SDCC almost a month away, I really feel like it's time to hype up the exclusives. Has anyone heard anything at all regarding legends?

I've never attended a SDCC EVER, however could it be a possibility they might NOT put something out this year for this line of toys?? either that or maybe that got some crazy last minute touches they're doing to the legends to wow us all.

I went to SDCC the year before Iron Man 2 came out. It was a crazy time, but I had fun. I suppose it is possible that they don't do an exclusive. If I recall correctly, the Ant-Man set from last year was announced at the very last second. Perhaps they do something like that again.

SymbiSpidey 06-20-2016 09:09 AM

I feel like they would say if they're not having an exclusive this year though, no?

warmachine6 06-20-2016 09:47 AM

well lets see till the end of the week , i was thinking they would have announced it now , it being a month before , im sure we will find out at the end of this month maybe. if not on the day. Be nice to see something a week before SDCC

I'm fairly certain that Hasbro is just waiting for fan anticipation to build to a fever pitch. Treating it as 'the big reveal' in much the same way that E3 has done for years. Personally, I find the technique and secrecy revolving around these matters to be both tiresome and annoying. I'm already committed to buying all of these figures (2016)...you don't need to rub my nose in the corporate-consumer-fanfare BS. We saw the X-men at Toyfair (?), but the Juggernaut was revealed after the fact with a semi-thud...it was received well enough, but I'm not sure it had the 'pop' they were hoping it would.

Agreed I hate when companies do this. I just want to know what the new figures are so I plan out my SDCC purchases accordingly.

Although I'm halfway hoping that it's going to be a pretty major release with as long as they're drawing this out, but at the same time, it couldn't be anything too major since it'd be a convention exclusive.

Somebody on 'that' site did note that previous SDCC exclusives have been revealed on Thursday, so maybe we'll see something this Thursday?

Thursdays? Hm.. well ok then. I think I'm just trying to budget out my summer money. I work in a school so my funds in the summer tend to dry up a bit. I work a summer job, but it doesn't pay as much as I normally make during the school year. I'm half hoping that they do a Netflix show set of some kind. I only really buy the comic looking stuff, so I would save money that way.

TBH, I wouldn't mind a "Netflix-themed" comic book set.

A new Luke Cage on the Grim Reaper buck, The Purple Man on the Agent Coulson body, a Jessica Jones, possibly a Wilson Fisk and maybe a Shadowlands Daredevil (as the obligatory repaint) or even Moon Knight.

I'd be all over that.

EDIT: In fact, now I'm convinced they'll do something similar to that, with us only being a few months away from the Luke Cage Netflix series. Would make way too much sense.

TheBlueMarvel 06-20-2016 12:58 PM

I hope it's a Netflix exclusive, so I can pass on buying the SDCC exclusive. I'm already keeping far too many MCU figs and contemplating offloading them all if their value continues to soar. I'll use the proceeds to get the upcoming comic canon figs I want...

Captain Nash 06-20-2016 03:10 PM

I'm just hoping whatever it is, it is something I can totally pass up or something that is so great it knocks at least one of the figures off my "short" list (of 42 figures lol). I wouldn't mind saving the money but I know I won't with a very much wanted figure, the ones that really get me are "the ones I "sort of" want and they look cool but they weren't a must have either but now that I think about it more and more I want it" variety.

Netflix themed characters could happen fairly soon. I believe Hasbro has said that they plan to crank out some Netflix stuff in the future, and Hot Toys has already announced Netflix Daredevil figures. Habsro might hop on the Netflix train along with them.

Yeah, I saw that but I was thinking something more along the lines of one that uses the Netflix series' popularity to push a set of comic book figures.

Actually, come to think of it, it's been awhile since we got an Elektra figure and she'd be perfect for an SDCC set.....
