As for classic Avengers... I guess Sersi (as seen above in a very nice custom form!). Black Knight has been done before. Jocasta, perhaps? Firestar? I agree that Songbird would also be high up, along with a few other Thunderbolts.

Now, X-Men BAFs should be a whole other category. Nimrod, Shadow King, Amahl Farouk (based on a Kingpin mold), Strong Guy, Rockslide, Predator X, a suped-up Bastion, Cho'd.... Heck, even Glob Herman... or Nanny? :P

oh yeah, Sersi! Duh. She was an Avenger for roughly the same amount of time Monica R was (though never a chairperson.). I'd love a Sersi figure. After that I guess Quasar, Jocasta and Crystal? I want Justice/Firestar far more but I know they are not considered "classic Avengers" and were only on the team for about 30 issues as well. After those we are left with the Moondragons and Swordsmans of the roster - figures that may be a favorite with some people but I can't imagine all that many (though I AM partial to getting a Living Lightening made)

And oh, yes, the X-Men BAF list is huge: All that you said, as well as Sebastian Shaw could work as a BAF and I would want most of those (pass on Predator X and Glob Herman ), he might just be large enough to make it work. Let's also not forget Warlock, the Kleinstocks and the Phalanx as we've mentioned in the Design a wave thread LOL.

Edit edit editfest - yes, that is an AWESOME Sersi! While I'm partial to the bomber jacket look for some odd reason, I would snap that up in a second.

The paint applications on these are so smooth and crisp, especially with the greens. I'm hoping that my attempts to do the old green and black Rogue costume will work out as well once that figure drops. My last attempt to do a full body painted custom was when I attempted to do Queen Cat, and that didn't work out so well. =(

That late 80's, early 90's Rogue costume was my favorite of hers all time...

That set seems so random...I'm starting to think maybe that set will be a future wave? Since the X-force set in 2012 they've done teams, affiliations, etc.

Spyne98 06-21-2016 06:46 PM

Is that set real? Because I'm 100000% ok with it!

It really shouldn't be though, Amora is big, like 7" taller than Scarlet Witch, unless she is highly retooled she is going to an inappropriately tiny Enchantress. It's kind of like putting Thor on the same buck as they use for Captain America.

Edit: Hopefully they have given her new legs and feet so she is tall without the high heels.

This is my custom Luke Cage that I did about a year and a half ago. Using Radioactive Man.

What we really need is a Silver Sable...come on Hasbro....

richaveli83 06-21-2016 10:54 PM

Great a SDCC set that I actually want all or want most of the figures but will be almost impossible to get without paying crazy scalper prices.

Enchantress is a figure a lot of us have been wanting for awhile and i'm sure they'll release her next year to go with the Thor wave next year with some slight modifications.

Abomination will be sold off. The Toybiz one is a great figure and I cannot see Hasbro beating it.

Sandman is a maybe. The Toybiz one is great and one of my favorite Legends figures of all time. Can probably use this one as sanded one during battle or whatever. I'm sure he'll be the BAF in the upcoming Spider-Man wave but his shirt painted in the classic green.

DreadKnight is a welcome surprise. I actually ordered another Hobgoblin from the upcoming Space Knight wave to make a custom one but now I probably won't have to. I love that we're getting B and C list villains like Whirlwind, Blizzard, Cottonmouth, etc. Just wish we could get a Grey Gargoyle and Blacklash/Whiplash to have most of the villains from the 90's Iron Man cartoon.

Purple Man. Indifferent towards him. Didn't finish watching Jessica Jones because I really don't care for her character. I don't really follow Daredevil either so I don't have an attachment towards him.

Spider-Man will be sold. The Pizza Spider-Man is all I need.

Spyne98 06-22-2016 05:42 AM

If you aren't at SDCC, it's not impossible to get the set without paying scalper prices. Hasbro has started saying when their exclusives will go on sale. If you can get on a computer on that day, you can buy them for retail price. Just know that the site will have a lot of traffic and you do have to act fast. If you wait around for an hour the set will most likely sell out. I have gotten every SDCC ML set and I have never really had trouble.

You remember last year the book of vishanti sold in minutes... i was able to get the ant-man aet and the matchbox sized ant-man. I wonder if this will be sought after like crazy.

Zorn88 06-22-2016 07:14 AM

Yeah, it's not that hard to get the exclusives. They tell you the date when they go live, and just stalk the site.

As long as you can be at a computer all morning, and capable of refreshing HTS and forum pages constantly, you'll get the set.

I had no problem getting the Vishanti set last year, but because I bought that, I missed the Stormtrooper. Wasn't a big deal for me because all I really wanted was the Vishanti set. Just know you may need to prioritize.

Captain Nash 06-22-2016 07:47 AM

I hope I can get this under the normal price...because otherwise I will be paying out the nose as this is really a set I must have. I have a feeling after seeing all the goodies at SDCC and the waves for this summer, I should just put a stake in my wallet.

UpDog 06-22-2016 08:21 AM

We've had exclusives re-released (SDCC Star-Lord, X-Force Wolvie, Dormaramamaramamamu). I could see Enchantress, Sandman, even that Spider-Man getting re-released (they always need a spidey to anchor the spider wave). Knight, Purpleman, and Abombination seem less likely.

Maybe Civil War wave 3 BAF is A-Bomb?

I hope not, I preordered the whole wave

(Sorry, not a fan of the character lol)

But honestly if Abomination is out I have no idea what it could be. I just assumed Abomination b/c he's so big he could be a BAF and we knew he was coming in some way.

A-Bomb would just give them a way to more or less re-use the mold.

Honestly not interested in either for a BAF. I use select for my display cause I like my big characters BIG, but I think even the ToyBiz one holds up real well.

Same as well, I've been able to get every sdcc set that I wanted. Although last year was the first time they actually announced a date, but not the exact time, and now with their new website the traffic may be even worse to try to get in, so we'll see how it goes this year. Good thing it's nothing that I'll be dying to get this year for the exclusives.

I'd like an A-bomb figure, but he would have to be large figure. judging by the small shot of the current abomination figure, he doesn't compare in size to the legends hulkbuster or the new juggernaut being released. i feel Abomination should be massive. exactly like the select version which i already have.

That Luke looks great Zorn, but if you don't put eyelids on figures they tend to get that Deer in headlights/Medusa Stare look going on.

I have made way too many 3.75 customs and it took me 5 or 6 figures before I realized a simple black line on top of the pupil will make every figure look that much more official.

Then again if you were going for that look, don't change a thing!

I don't see how this is a Spider-Man set though. Only 2 of the 6 figures are related to him.

Boy Blunder 06-22-2016 10:08 AM

Head's up! Just got a call from the manager in charge of the toys department at our local Walgreens (she stays in touch with local collectors who aren't jerks), and they just started getting the Namors in stock. I'll probably be picking mine up later today, so just letting you all know that they're in the wild!

I'm still willing to middle-man for some people, but I'd like to give it a week for them to start popping up at multiple stores before I do.

No, that was a comment about how the Spidey in this set could be re-released as an anchor figure for a future Spider-Man wave.

Very nice, wonder what else she calls you for ;) Just kidding!
