Finally found Big Hero 6 Yokai so the only one I need left for this scale of the line is Honey Lemon... unless there's a fourth Baymax I didn't know about.

What's the regular price going to be on these? Anybody know? I know BBTS is always more expensive. They have the legends SDCC listed@ $219.00, sold out. |

I guess I'll say it "More Caps, Thors, Spider-man, and Ironmans."
... kinda Well it looks like Marvel is working with them to get out current looks of characters. I appreciate a mix of characters at the least we got Thor-her, Vance Astro, Noir Spider-man (I don't get too upset with the different Spider-man figures)and cap Falcon which are spins of the classic characters played by other characters if that make sense. We are 2 Inhumans and Lockjaw away from the classic Royal Family, Another Thor Villain - not mad about that. Machine Man finally New Captain Marvel - knew it was a matter of time. I hope this is the tip of the iceberg. |
Hey Spade how ya been bro ??!!!

I haven't seen the AoU Falcon/Hawkeye two-pack at TRU or its site yet. Has anybody acquired it? I think I've asked before, but I dodn't recall seeing an answer; what are the differences, if any, between those two and previously released versions?

I hope we get an agent venom soon, and a proper MI venom like the legends just showed.

The old buck was the swivel elbows and knees. The second old buck had bicep swivel and no leg swivel. The line has always varied on articulation across the board. The first Captain america figure, black panther, and even Ultron/Dr. Doom all had various degrees of articulation different from each other. There has never been one standard buck of articulation they use. Then the third buck generation had too many swivels. We really didn't need shin swivel when it had the rotate foot and thigh swivel. If the cost cutting is working to provide more unique tooling though. Is the trade off worth it? To me it is. We may lose wrist swivels, and occasionally torso swivel, but we're getting complete newly tooled parts that are more character specific in the details. Sam Wilson Cap and Lady Thor look like almost complete new molds entirely. Machine man looks like he uses the older human torch buck. So that makes me curious on his arms. Superior Ironman looks like a new chest unibeam and has a new head. So while some toolings are completely original, they are still finding unique ways to mix up and reuse older too. This is giving us a diverse line-up and providing the fodder that retailers want. Retailers want the big names. They want Cap, Thor, Wolverine, and Spider-man. Hasbro and Marvel are using that to their advantage though. We are getting Cap, Thor, Spider-man and the much beloved new Captain Marvel, but we're getting them in more diverse ways now. Sam Wilson cap is still a captain america on shelves for retailers. Lady Thor is still a Thor on shelves for retailers. Noir Spider-man is still spider-man. Hasbro and Marvel are playing the retailer game, but doing so on their terms to provide a diverse selection. This is a great way to appease fans and keep major retailers ordering cases. As more Marvel movies come out and the exposure increases to what major retailers want, we might start seeing larger expansions. Other names will be added to that list like Black Panther and more. Personally I can't wait until we see a Shuri Black Panther in the line and her eventual White Tiger mold reuse. |
Sheeit. Considering the whole thing's brand new for $20 in stores I was hoping to score a couple of cheap movie Infinite Ant-Men (Ant-Mans?) for customs. $14.99's really the cheapest? Redonk.

Edit: I was even excited when at Toyfair they showed the Agent Venom on the four wheeler toy. I was going to get that and take the driver and try and make a 4 inch Agent Venom and Hasbro had to make it a special 6 inch scale four wheeler toy when those stupid things have been 1/18th for years. Stupid Hasbro. |

The more I look at it the less impressed I am. I mean, I do want that Giant-Man but as like a $20 gigantic battle set. I've already had four figures with that Icons Daredevil buck and the only one I still have is Skull Giant-Man. It's not all that great. The fact that Hasbro is saying they will be on HTS the 28th means no one needs to even think about paying scalp prices until then. A lot of people will mob the site and hopefully most people that want them will be able to get them (as long as Hasbro sets limits like 1 or 2 per address). THEN people consider overpaying. |
I hope it's like last year's set and doesn't actually sell out for days.
