We should. If I remember right, he was on the slate at one time, and so far everyone we've heard rumored to get a figure has gotten one or is. So it's possible we might see him in the wave after what they've shown. With Noir Spider-man being made, it looks like they are diving into spider-verse too, so we might see him with Spider-gwen in the same wave which would be awesome if it happens.

I cannot remember for the life of me which Captain That is.. I must be really out of it..

Also how is everyone's TRU light up base Thor? I love that color variant the most but my I just noticed has a super loose torso. He cant srand up straight, like I can use the weight of his cape to spin it around :(. I shoulda bought a 2nd one..

Specter 07-10-2015 06:32 AM

Quick question, is the movie Ant-man figure movie scale or typical MU scale?

What's the difference? Do you mean like in scale to real life?

The answer is he's 3.75", so MU scale. He's a tad short, but Paul Rudd is only 5'9" so it's about right anyway.

Thanks
Just wondering how he would look with Wasp for example.
most movie figures since Captain America 1 are much smaller than the MU scale which is closer to 4"
Winter Soldier is a good example.

ukmu 07-10-2015 07:51 AM

my HYDRA goons from the CAPTAIN AMERICA :THE FIRST AVENGER are pretty short. Not too noticable until stood next to a tall figure. The new MI Bishop, for example, they come to about his mid-pectoral (because i didnt want to mention Bishop's nipples) so they look really short to him. Most of the rest of the line they are fine though. Most movie figures are proper 1/18 scale...our stuff is really 1/16 with some (like Bishop) coming in at 1/15 scale. That is why all the cool 1/18 dio stuff for furniture and such including cool bikes and cars, come in a tad too small.

ukmu 07-10-2015 08:45 AM

was looking at the SDCC dio this year....man is it lame! Those giant fake house plants REALLY make it look cheap and tacky. Also it is small. Also it highlights all the movie figures they dont have more than it highlights those they do. 6" is fine for those that like them, leave the dio to the proper dio scale though. And for God sake, ditch those silk plants!!!!

Bishop is 6'6" plus add an 1-1.5" for combat boots, and another inch for hair that puts him around 6'8.5" so he's a pretty tall dude (plus he's from the future and peoples average height is always going up) couple that with the fact that the rank and file soldiers for Hydra are probably younger (I think of them like fresh military recruits) and they can't pay that well so there probably malnourished, therefore stinted in height. my point... slight "follies of scale" are easily explained away or fudged.
a good example is Deathlok, he's ginormous! but just remind yourself he's a steroid jacked zombie cyborg. i'm sure that his creators picked the biggest and most imposing cat they could find for the project. couple that with HGH and some long Cyborg legs and boom his height makes sense. now the series one X-force Wolverine.... I cant help you he just sucks balls.

I agree man it looks so lame!!! Last year you could see tons of people's reflections off the glass from all the people gawking at how amazing it was and they wanted to make sure they saw it from every angle to not miss anything. Plus it is usually spoke about for weeks after the con with people saying "Oh, did you see the custom Hood or what about Purple Man?" This year it will be, Why are the guradians of the galaxy fighting ultrons??? Oh thats right THERE ARE NO VILLIANs FOR THEM TO BATTLE!! I also agree that the lack of "action" shows how much they are missing as oppossed to what they are showing.

Not to mention the fact that prior year's diorama could have an entire photoshoot dedicated to it alone and you would still want to see more. I looked at the 9 photos from this year and I honestly feel like it is just a bunch of Iron men and Ultrons....with a splash of the other avengers and Gotg mixed in like they are lost.

Captain Nash 07-10-2015 09:46 AM

I have to agree the Diorama is underwhelming. (though I like the lava effect) And nothing for this line at all. I also looked forward to seeing what little customs they had in the diorama just in hopes that maybe one day they'd release them. But alas....

ukmu 07-10-2015 10:33 AM

They should have used their 2.5"er's in it. At least there would be baddies and vehicles! But the worst are the 18' tall (if it was real and in scale) plastic ferns!!! I come from Hawaii in the jungle part of a small island, I have been to rugged South East Asia, and i have Jurassic Park.... I have NEVER seen an 18 foot tall fern!!!!

EDIT: I was just on YouTube and looked and looked, no one has even bothered putting up a video of the lame dio (not that I found anyway).... and K Dub is right...usually y9ou can see teeming faces reflected in the glass, not this time.

Buck is just the term used to refer to the particular body mold a figure uses, for instance Multiple man and Cloak are on a commonly used body that was first used for several Spiderman figures so they would be referred to as "on a spiderman buck". Rhino, Abomb and abomination also use the same buck as one another. It's a fancy way of saying cheap ass Hasbro is reusing parts.
that Thor is a kit bash using, I believe the comic two pack (silver variant) body and ultimate Thor head, from the Avengers movie (comic series).

That's the MU Thor body with the avengers assemble Ultimate Thor head. I did that same bash on my 3 pack version

jedirulz123 07-10-2015 01:06 PM

I wish I'd had that idea, I prefer Thor with a beard anyway, makes him look older and more powerful.
I gave the Ultimate Thor hair to Emma Frost; his flowing golden locks suit her well

ahh..cool..thanks for the explanation...
wonder where the actual term came from though..

obviously the scene depicts the Avengers being exposed to Pym particles, while in a doctors office waiting room during the apocalypse... don't you people have hallucinogens in England?

deathofthelines 07-10-2015 01:16 PM

Anyone got a link to the dio

Snowflakian 07-10-2015 02:58 PM

Actually, I'd love to see a 2.5'' dio using the masterpiece figures they had before.

Galactus would be HUGE!
