He's also been shipped. Oh, and I have a job interview on Thursday morning for a full time teaching position. Today is good. |

No ship notice yet on my own CM, but I did the whole PO musical chairs gig and may have to wait until a restock, sadly enough. |

It's going to be hard to say "no" to that Classified Hisstank. I'll be in the dog house for a while, but hopefully my trespass will be forgiven in time...
I just don't know how some of these Hisstank guys backed 3. That's almost $1000! We obviously live in different tax brackets. |
Yeah, I couldn't resist either. Just backed for one, though. It has pretty much everything I'd hoped for - lights, working treads, and lots of interior details. Part of me hopes that one of the tiers is a repack of the Regal Variant Cobra Commander, or some variation using that lighter shade of blue. Which kinda makes sense seeing that CC was on the box art of the original toy.
Edit: Looks like this thing might actually get funded by the weekend. |
That "HISS Tactician" is a shoe-in, this thing is blowing the fuck up. I'm confident in seeing it funded by the time I pop my evening beer.

Whoa! 7083, as of my posting this. When I checked earlier it was at 3K and change, but I totally expected that to taper off as the day went on. Glad I was wrong. What's the record for a Haslab hitting its minimum goal? If memory serves, the Sentinel was funded pretty quickly. |

That funded in under 9 hours. The previous record holder, big marvel guy, funded in about 28 hours, I think.
|
I would have lost that bet if someone told me they thought it was going to fund that fast.
I'm happy it got funded though and it certainly is a very cool product. But it isn't 300 bucks cool to me. But who's to say? After some stretch goals get met, maybe I'll cave in. |

On paper you'd think HISS would have taken a bit to get going. That a early bird figure was unlikely.
The night isn't over and it's closer to busting through 1st tier unlock. It's a preorder now. Okay you know what I'm gonna call it now. The backer count ITS OVER 9000! |

What I really want is 1986 Toys "R" Us. |
I don't mind crowdfunding depending on the company. There are people who have taken advantage of crowd funding and screwed their buyers over. However, Hasbro and Limited Run games has yet to do me wrong.

Oh, tier 1 was revealed to be a set of 6 missiles for each side fo the tank. |
Those side missiles are neat... wish the 25th version had those.

A Haslab I feel isn't a true crowdfund. It's a fancy preorder.
In contrast to other crowdfunds, you are actually making a purchase. You aren't donating a $1 and hope to see this product happen. At this moment it's a preorder page now. I'm looking at other forums and people bring up how Hasbro has plenty of cash to put a product into production. That's true......and then the customer pays so Hasbro recoups that cost and make a profit. |

Yes, the glory days of finding stuff in the wild were nice (when you could), but those days are done. I'll take this model over trying to guess who in the hell is going to ship the Crimson Guard first any day of the week. As an added bonus, this is a BOTTOMLESS preorder. Completely unlimited, provided you get in while it's open. No one that has the means to buy it has anyone to blame but themselves if they miss it. For this exact reason, it also removes the issue of scalping. Lastly (and this is a point of contention for many), these are all above and beyond what's going to be available at retail. I'm sorry folks, but the level of detail and care found here is simply not going to show up at Walmart. I mean, just look at the harness and taillights. Tiny, seemingly insignificant details, all given loving attention by someone that's obviously passionate about what they do. At Walmart, you could expect the same hollow near-brick of a tank we've been getting for years, only bigger. ^Ha. My beers are showing! |

My own experience with LR is pretty... err... limited. I just bought the Contra comp and Dragon View for the SNES. I'm kinda ambivalent about the Contra collection for the same reasons I am the Castlevania collection, but I'm really looking forward to Dragon View. The OG cart is expensive as hell The rerelease caught me by surprise, it's a pretty obscure game. |
