Marvel took away breasts, DC taking away legs. What a puritanical world are we regressing to?

Closest they’ve gotten to Matrix Supergirl, tho the red legs are odd. Really hope it isn’t a cloth cape. If I wanted that, I’d go for another company that does the whole thing better. Cloth cape will ensure I’m not getting this, or I’ll have to mold my own. Superboy was a disappointment as well. Wanting the Return of Superman & Death of Superman characters, getting close but McFarlane still manages to screw it up. Including making Doomsday a 2-pack Target exclusive. U could buy the weird Doomed Batman by itself (& oddly w/Superman as if a precursor for this) but McFarlane doesn’t do the fans justice with these travesties

I dunno if you’re joking, but Supergirl’s bare legs are iconic. Kinda like classic Dick Grayson Robin with bare legs. It’s nothing sexual with the look, it just looks iconic. Same thing with bare legs on Wonder Woman. Besides, all red on the legs and a skirt over it would look bad on anyone.

Is this a popular version of Supergirl these days? I must admit that this is not the version I am familiar with and I can't say the design looks great. If the skirt is red and the leggings (or boots?) are red, there is no contrast. Then the cape is red on top of that too. Feels like a weird design.

If there's not at least a little bit of bare thighs under that skirt, this is a HARD PASS. You guys are absolutely right--if they want to be that ridiculous, just give her f***ing pants and don't bother with the skirt.

And yeah, off topic, but I haven't bought a female Legends figure in almost 2 years now because of their bizarre and distorted looking upper bodies. It's like they're trying abnormally hard to force the breasts into a tiny confined area on the front of the chest--it's unnatural. And what adds insult to injury is figures like the recent Skrull Spider-Woman where the box render is a completely different sculpt. SIGH.

Unlike her New 52 suit, Supergirl's Rebirth redesign is pretty popular. It's pretty much her TV costume & was in the arc her next movie is named after. DC Collectibles made a few toys of it. It does look like Todd made the sleeves too short though.

She may not be ideal, but after the Injustice 2 Supergirl (it's beyond my understanding how such clearly talented artists managed to put together the worst-designed superhero suits of the century thus far) this is miles and miles above what we've already got in hand. Now if they could just find a way to include an updated Sasha Calle headsculpt in the box for replacing Flash Kara's head....

I waited to get a better look at Brainiac's face sculpt and it's as vapid as I feared. Apparently, McFar opted for the "Coluan CPA" look. He's ready to audit Superman's last five years of filings; dramatic tension at its finest.

The effort is there, I just don't see Brainiac in that face.

I don't know..I see a bit of Brad Dourif in that Brainiac headsculpt. It's just too bad its another instance of an under scaled head.

The Injustice figs are decent but I don't understand why both Supes and Brainiac are smiling/chilling? The Injustice story is dark and everyone's angry and murderous, especially Superman. But we get 2 figs of happy Injustice characters. Kinda strange.

Yep, I think the last time ML dared to sculpt comic proportion breasts was the Moonstone buck in 2013.(The Hellfire Club set was an outlier) Since then they've tried their hardest to minimize and desexualize their figures. When I get a Japanese or 3rd party fig these days, I'm like "oh yeah, that's what breasts are supposed to look like on a fig.".

I wouldn't say that Superman is smiling but it's definitely not as intense as Injustice Superman should be.
