I can agree with the first part. Buying up retail to fill your own local retail space at higher premiums is unfair.

However, having seen the back-end of the cost of ordering them directly, I know first-hand that the higher pricing you'll pay at LCS due to them ordering from Diamond is absolutely necessary. Smaller stores are forced to pay higher base costs for these items, and have to make some kind of profit to continue stocking them. Often, they just barely break even on these, but continue to carry them in the hopes that it brings in a wider range of customers who will buy other things they really make money on.

My experience is purely based on the 3.75" characters sold for around $13 each.

It sucks, but it's a necessary evil to having some of these items available in LCS'.

That said, if the items are priced double what they cost or more, you're likely dealing with a definitive 'scalper'. ;)

MS Magneto is fantastic! And comes with one of the better 'stand's provided by Diamond. He is rather tall, but I cant be precise as mine has always been on his stand, making him taller.

Mine is the masked version, both look amazing! I'll take some pics for you :)
