If these are all in the normal sub, I'm canceling my card

A Filmation mini-line has been hinted at and rumored for a long time now, that's how I'm expecting them to be delivered. That was likely a big factor in Matty doing this "early access" thing. So subscribers can get first crack at the Filmation line.

Plus, there was only 4 open slots left for the year, I doubt they'll show the entire year's worth of figures at NYTF. With Mantenna, we still only have 3 figures left to announce for the year (well, I guess an official announcement for Horde Troopers is coming too)

JAN: Netossa
FEB: Jitsu
MAR: Fang Man
APR: Snake Face
MAY: Octavia
JUN: Karatti
JUL: Clamp Champ
NOV: Geldor
???: Mantenna

FEB: Ram Man
Q2: Foe Men
Q3: NA He-man
Q4: Horde Troopers

King He-man exclusive

Early access is only for the NON sub figures in the line. So if you have a Club Eternia sub, you won't have early access to a separate Filmation sub. Early access is incredibly pointless to anyone like myself who already has all the previous figures. For example, this months early access is for Faker & Kobra, that's all.

Well what you have liked to see them do different with Mantenna? Certainly the hunky Don Knotts filmation look I hope.
Fix'd.

I'm sorry, I know how that feels, I've kinda had the same feelings about MU lately
The issue with MU is its really erratic and unreliable release pattern, added to the fact you can never tell whether they will hit retail. If they could nail down their release dates (and start issuing more villains and females) it would be unassailable. The damn movies are dragging the line down!

However, the latest from Toyfair brings us some good stuff, and some classic ladies; Elektra, Emma Frost, Valkyrie, Dagger.

Yeah, except the last figure I really felt excitement for when I did open him was Fisto.
Don't say that! Ok, do, but it makes me want Fisto even more... and he's sooooo expensive!

That's what I'm saying, the Filmation line wouldn't be a subscription, it would just be offered day-of and be offered early for normal subscribers.

Dr Kain 02-09-2013 08:48 PM

Early Access is also stupid because you cannot combine shipping with your subs, defeating the whole purpose of it. For some reason Digital River seems to think this is 2000 when it is 2013.

I know Dagger looks pretty awesome. I need Fisto too, and Teela and Shadow Weaver, i'm gonna starve

Sniff the plastic... it works better than food...

Dr Kain 02-10-2013 09:41 AM

Is it just me, or does the Grayskull prototype look smaller than the one Scott showed in that video back in Dec?

ludovicotek 02-12-2013 07:58 AM

Here's a quick comparison I made to show the evolution of the MOTUC Castle Grayskull. I tried to find straight on pictures and then overlaid them to get the size comparison. I relied more on matching up the size of the figures, since that was really the only constant. Looks pretty on the money to me. I can see where some adjustments were made, but for the most part, the castle appears, to me, to be the same size as was promised.

DHeezy81 02-12-2013 09:06 AM

Well here's that bitch Scott admitting it's not the same size.

Crap. That link is not working for me. Can you repost?

DHeezy81 02-12-2013 09:09 AM

I fixed it.

Apparently more useless accessories makes up for it's height...

Thanks. I personally got a kick out of this: "Keep in mind you are also getting more
accessories than were shown such as the space suit."

Actually, first of all, that space suit was always part of the deal from the beginning. Secondly, why the hell would he think that we would rather have an un-articulated shell of a space suit than a properly sized Castle Grayskull?

I'm still glad that I ordered one, and will be pretty happy when I get it. I plan on using it for display only, so I couldn't care less about how many extra little pieces of plastic they include for the inside. And concerning the size of the front door, I can see where the foam mockup is flat and doesn't have the thickness of the resin model. The drawbridge has some appears pretty solid, leaving less room for a figure to fit in the gateway. As is, looks like you could barely get a figure standing in the doorway. That's a little disappointing.

DHeezy81 02-12-2013 09:48 AM

All they had to do was add maybe 2-3 inches and it would've looked a bit better. Also, the sculpted monster pit they had on show at TF isn't being made. It will be a sticker like the OG castle. Which sux because it looked pretty sweet.

Agreed. Sucks that the pit is not going to be included. Especially after they leaked pictures of it. WTF!

bigkid24 02-12-2013 04:09 PM

I haven't ordered from Matty in a while but I saw that they are reselling Faker and Kobra Khan. I thought that they weren't reissuing figures any more. Did that change? Basically I'm asking because I'm trying to decide if I need to grab Ram Man and Jitsu right now or if I can wait it out.

Wait, why the hell would they sculpt AND show something they are not going to inclu...

oh wait...

it's Mattel.

cobracobra 02-12-2013 04:28 PM

Eh the monster pit. It looked awesome that is for sure. I already own the newly sculpted resin kit from a year ago. Kinda excited to try and paint it now.

And I am sure if its sculpted its being released sometime later.

When something is already 26" plus two or three inches wont kill me. I am really excited for the castle. It could possibly mean end all for MOTUC just because of the physical space it will take up.
: ) Home expansions into my fiances closet

Also I am sure if you remove the Jaw from the jaw bridge He-man and Battlecat would fit in easily. I am sure the hight of the jaw, teeth and tounge was a over site that they did not account for.

Still worth 300 to me. What ever the price maybe its worth it for sure. But this is a really fickle bunch of people on this thread so complain on.

They are just selling over stock. They have not and prob will not re-issue any more figs. Every year the subs sell less and less.

I thought the one they showed was the third party one you had to paint. I was excited when I first saw it, but when the toy fair pics surfaced no dungeon.

I'm a little po'd about Greyskulls door height and the added Filmation sub. More and more $. If they can give Filmation characters a separate sub why nor POP and NA He-Man?

DHeezy81 02-12-2013 06:19 PM

So does that mean we are given the option to purchase another Fang man and King He-man?

Also Strobo I thought he was a convention exclusive for later this year?

Thanks!

DHeezy81 02-12-2013 06:33 PM

Strobo is the exclusive convention figure. But he's available first only through early access. No we won't be able to buy extras unfortunately.

March 15th Monthly Sale

Early Access
The Early Access period for subscribers is Thursday, March 14th at 8 a.m. PT through Friday, March 15th at 8 a.m. PT.
For March, the figures are Strobo, Mekaneck® and Keldor™. Strobo is our “traveling convention figure” for 2013 and he’s currently only available through Early Access, so if you’re a subscriber to any of our clubs, congratulations on that smart decision! Everyone else will have to wait for Power-Con or the other conventions, or get him on MattyCollector.com… if any figures remain! The other figures for Early Access are Mekaneck® and Keldor™. Neither figure is included with 2013 Club Eternia® subscriptions and if they sell out during Early Access they won’t be available to the general public during the regular monthly sale. Most are leftover Customer Service stock – they’re first run (not reissues) and won’t have the burst on the package. And finally, a reminder that Early Access products are sold separately from subscription products so shipping can’t be combined.

Club Eternia® Subscriber-only Figures
MOTUC: Fang Man™ (monthly figure, included with Club Eternia® subscriptions – not sold 3/15 at MattyCollector.com)
MOTUC: King He-Man™ & Sub-ternia™ Map (exclusive club items – included with 2013 Club Eternia® subscriptions)

Thats fair. I just want one of each figure.

Probably just want to make sure that they make their moneys worth for what they paid for the rights. Wouldn't look too good to Mattel higher ups if they asked Scott how much he paid for Filmation rights and then they only made a couple figures from the series

Lordherb 02-14-2013 08:14 PM

Kobra Khan sold out already. That's Battle Cat Balls.
