@Symbi
Yup, they succeeded with their slap to the face...and in turning me off to the two movies following, I watched them on DVD. Last laugh - mine. @Von That's a thought, but I like the planned look for Nico. She'll fit in with my Young Avengers figs...and Wanda will sweeten the pot for whomever bites on my MCU fire-sale...should I decide to go that route. |
Captain America Legends Loose Comparisons | The Fwoosh
Definitely passing on Abomination. Looks worse than select and TB |
@UpDog
Oh...those pics are not flattering. Wanda looks to be the best of the bunch...I hope better photos surface. |

Although somebody said that Abomination is a custom headcast away from C'hod, which would be a game changer for me. I'm really hoping retail doesn't over-order this line, I could see another Odin wave situation. |
SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS that abomination baf looks WORSE THAN the old toy biz ones. Whomever wants that baf, if i even bother to build it, it WILL be up for trade.

I don't know, I'm quite fond of that Captain Britain, despite it using the Rob Liefeld body.
Wonder Man just looks too....I guess plain? I mean, even taking into account that the design itself is very simple, the figure just feels like something's missing (could be the lack of the belt seen on the older ToyBiz figure). Maybe it'll be better once you throw the effect pieces on it. I'll still get it because it's Wonder Man though, and it'd fit better aesthetically than the ToyBiz figure. As for Abomination, yeah, I'm not feeling it. I was already pretty meh about since I'll be picking up the set, but he just looks way too small. Even AoU Hulk, who was a single-carded, non-BAF figure is significantly taller than Abomination. I get that part of that was because they used the Rhino lower body, but I feel that the Rhino Wave was overall a much stronger wave of figures, which made up for the lack of size the BAF had and the size suits Rhino. For Abomination? Not so much. Abomination and Rhino being damn near same height just feels criminal. I'm definitely gonna want to swap that Abomination out for the TB one in the future. |

I feel like Cap is getting really screwed with his Marvel Legends waves to be honest.
The 1st wave this year was pretty damn good I thought. 2nd wave was decent if only for Black Panther and Nuke. 3rd wave is pretty meh (though I'll have to see how the rest of the figures turn out). The Spider-Man waves and likely the X-Men wave as well just look stellar across the board. Excellent character selection and great execution for the most part. |
@TBM That's true, Wanda will likely be a most-wanted, much like Black Panther, given she's single packed per case... Does Hasbro not enjoy being given money?

Edit: Eeeesh. Captain Britain's head looks disturbing because A) It's a chunky helmet, not a form fitting one which he wears in the comics, and B) He has a huge amount of black around his eyes. What is that about? |

In other words, retailers think that those 3 along with Wolverine are the only characters with any sizable fanbase from the entire Marvel Universe, which is pretty silly if you ask me. |

Hello, everyone! It looks like the Space Venom wave is up on EBay. Purchased Space Venom alone, sweet! Like some people have mentioned, I not sold on all the figures in the wave! I don't know what it is! But, if I had to choose, Hobgoblin and Electro would be the highlight of the wave for me. Might pick up Silk, but do not know enough about her. Sometimes I buy figures after reading about them, if her character is exciting to me after doing some research on her, Silk will be added...

I just preordered captain britain from dorkside. not really too keen on wanting that whole wave. however if i run into eel in the wild i might conisder getting him.

As for wave 3, easy pass for me. The funny part is the shield throw effect for Cap is probably what I am interested in the most. I will probably snag a Wonder Man but otherwise meh. |

I recall my mother brings up once in a blue moon, when she bought me the "black spider-man" and the " Pink Spider-man" ( baron Zemo ) back in the 80s when the original secret wars toys came out. that goes to show you people whom ARE NOT comic knowledgeable don't have a clue have to who alot of these guys are. i mean we all do but we're all fans and collectors of this series of toys. |
damn...
that wonderman looks like something anyone could taken an older buck an repainted. He looks like a wrestler. Looks plain as hell. ..and that abomination...with his blue draws on...is no match for my MS one..and doesn't look good in comparison to the hulk figs (size). But i do like the Abominations head sculpt. Even Captain Britain doesn't look all that great no really an exciting wave Also today was the first time in a store i saw rows of pegs with the Civil War wave. tons of Caps and iron man. Some Duke's and a whole row of Guardian. I, to this day have still never seen Black Panther or Fury in a store. |

I did however just tonight preorder captain britain, he's another oddball character for me to throw on my marvel billy shelf. the only thing with his look was i was expecting the classic look with the white gloves. either way i think he isn't bad looking. |
Hey new here! Might be a stupid question but does anyone have a scale picture of marvel legends ultron bulid a figure and marvel select movie ant man or captian America thanks ahead.

I'm a little worried about this abomination wave, I could see stores over-ordering it for the holidays, based on how well the x-men wave will do, and then being stuck with it like they have been with Odin wave since there really isn't a stand out kid figure (cap maybe?) |

My Local TRU sucks ass big time... they are stil fully stocked of the Red Onslaught wave and the absorbing man wave. they are always very late to the game when it comes to new releases. about a week ago i found the NEW cap figure from the giant man wave at the wal mart i frequent. so i know those should start trickling in soon. I have been meaning to ask all of you, im curious if any of you ever saw a fresh box of legends on the top shelf where all the walmarts keep their other stock of toys and have you ever taken the box down and opened it up? I constantly look up there to see if i see any of the boxes because im familar with what they look like considering i order the newest spidey wave every year. however i have yet to ever find a new box of legends sitting atop that top shelf. |
