Flip that truck around so that people can place an order and see the menu!!! Kidding it looks really good. I held the X-Force one in my hands for like 20 minutes at a Hot Topic before ultimately deciding to leave it. I would rather have the Yellow truck and the $36 tag on the "Con exclusive" was a bit too much.

Dammit u guys are making me want that truck and I don't usually go for such things. On a similar note local Kmart had mi wasp and the antman wave one so she's now part of the team. I'm not a legends guy but it felt right getting her in both scales and the fact that most have similar articulation didn't hurt either

Going off topic, I won a Blade figure one eBay. He came with all his accessories. I won him at $25. He didn't come with the character card and all those extra goodies, but I'm fine with it. Hoping to show a 3 3/4" Marvel Knights display soon.

The X-Men are done. Disney works two to three generations ahead. Sure, most of us will like them but when our kids are our ages and have kids Marvel will still be big but it won't be big for X-Men. Sad but true I think.... Also, love that Maria Hill is pretty much dead centre. |

Like in the 70s, it was Spider-man, cap, Namor, fantastic 4, Thor, and Ironman with a dash of Dr. Strange. Then the 80s saw the rise of the X-Men, with the 90s being X-Men and Spider-man dominate with a dash of Blade. That tapered off slowly in the 2000s, and we're seeing a new rise in Avengers and spider-man is bouncing around. Eventually that'll taper off again, and X-Men will have a focus again or a different area will like the street level heroes or inhumans and GOTG. It really depends on a lot of factors. Currently though, Avengers & SHIELD are the big thing. History shows us that these shifts in preferences for areas of the Marvel universe happen. One takes the limelight, then time goes on and people move on to a different area and repeat. It's also a strategy for marketing. You let one side take a breather while another side steps forward, so that you can keep switching them around to keep interest going in the brand as a whole. |

Certainly though toyline wise, I don't expect to see much. Sure we have Emma coming and hopefully that Rogue, but what else? I saw nothing at SDCC that gives me hope that Hasbro is working towards putting forth any X-Men figures past this year. There was not a single X-men figure in either line previewed for next year. Which sucks, I can maybe say in Legends format there's maybe 5 figures I'd really want to see done, but honestly in MI format it's at least double that - probably closer to 12-15 figures if I had to be completely honest. And to think we're likely to not get any of those makes me sad. |
Disney has money, Hasbro listens.
Fox has rights to the Xmen; Disney has greased the industry to side with their interests. That's my best speculation on the matter. |

I know some may hold a different opinion and that's great, that's your right to it, but I have a very difficult time believing it's not a real thing going on here. I know this is more Legends related but Hasbro rep commented "we may Or possibly see" more X-Men related figures closer to the movie release. I don't think we will. Wouldn't those have already been shown along with the rest of the 2016 product for other lines? It sounded like a very evasive "we'll see" answer and I don't buy into it one bit. But I'd love for them to prove me wrong on both lines.* * to clarify, yes i do think we'll see Emma released. And maybe even Rogue. Also I think Wolverine and Deadpool may continue to be exceptions to release due to their possibility, in either line. But otherwise I think we'll get squat. |
