So is anybody gonna shill out the money for this bad boy?

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g5-OT-9paJ...tles%2B10a.jpg

I can imagine several great diorama scenarios with that thing. one in particular is Spiderman VS the Lizard

Iceman 02-23-2012 07:21 AM

I definitely want the thing but what's the price gonna be on it?

Starscream99 02-23-2012 07:38 AM

DAAAAAAANNNNGGGG!!! I want that but the lack of room is what kills it for me.

Luckily my gf has seen this and approves, she keeps asking when I am going to get it, truth is, it depends on how much this sucker costs

Granted it is mostly sewer you can't deny the diorama possibilities this thing carries

I'm going to get it. It'll be the new Spawn Alley.

Gotta wait until someone does a review and post pics of it. The top building/street looks to be a decal, or even worse- cardboard. The proportions on the rest of it's accessories may be a little cartoony as well.

But even if it is good, not for $120. I'll be there for 50% off day.

D00MTR0N 02-23-2012 08:14 AM

stop bumping that pic.

My haul thanks to Dogfashiondisco

The sewer scene would be great for x-men and morlocks but no morlocks.

On another note, I got some stuff the past couple of days.

Found some of those Star Wars Destroyer droids. I had to get two of them for some of these pics.

My WIP Archangel. Kudos for the other arker who did the same paint scheme on the uncanny costume. I'm working on the other wings right now and I need to add the symbol on psylocke.

Blast effects
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...9511692269.jpg

Finally came across the avengers line. No Ultimate Thor but the only one left was Ultimate Hawkeye. I like the sculpt but lack of articulation. I gave him GI Joe's Scarlett's crossbow.

Finally got myself the clear shield. I like both versions of him.

The fact it's back is great for those collectors, but make no mistake, it is starting over entirely.

MU I don't think will be canceled, but the pace is getting rather slow. I do appreciate it to an extant though. My wallet is getting time to prepare with everything that's coming this year and next.

Sometimes the signs are ominous though and can't be ignored. Considering all the new sculpts in MU coming our way it doesn't seem like the signs are there, but with retailer orders and interest being what dictates our access of the line, you never know.

Yeah, it's renegades duke

Symbiote 02-23-2012 10:13 AM

I would recommend getting the destroyer droids. I was having buyers remorse getting two but after opening them, I was glad I got em. Not only do you get an awesome shield for invisible woman and magneto but you also get 4 blast effects for guns as shown on ultimate hawkeye. And a cool destroyer droid (not much articulation though).

I held two of them in my hand yesterday, but I've been spending a fortune on toys lately and was feeling guilty at the thought of dropping $18 for some Magneto effects. I'll probably pick a few up when I'm in the middle of a buying lull though. They look great.

i agree that no MU at WMart is an ominous sign, but just like GI Joe, MU will always have a loyal legion to gobble up the goods. most of us are buying/trading online, so retail might be a thing of the past with MU.

i've saved sooooo much money by buying from fellow Arkers and local collectors that buying retail seems silly to me now. i just wait it out and sooner or later, somebody has the hook up. it almost never fails.

scale question for the masses:

how does BAF Galactus look with MU? too small? i need a Galactus for my MU collection and was wondering if BAF was a good stand-in.

Tiberius 02-23-2012 11:01 AM

All about preference buddy. I personally like the scale and colours of the MU one a lot more over the ML one.

D00MTR0N 02-23-2012 11:06 AM

As someone who has owned both, I really like the MU version better. His head sculpt looks better than the ML in my opinion. Plus the MU is so much bigger and I think he has a better paint job.

If so, I call dibs before some scalper nabs her!

Now I need to invent Pym particles...

Scalping women always had a different meaning to me. If she gets scalped, no one gets her!

Good luck on that one. If there was no sig, I would have jumped in. Maybe next time...

Agree with you there! And the card is just so awesome too.

playin around with hawkeye. I wanna do a really nice display when I get my new stands in. Might have him like jumping in the air shooting his bow, at that point I'd glue the arrow to his bow.

That pic Symbiote posted of rogers with the clear shield makes me want to dig mine out and give it to him.
