Heck yeah...glad I have the Legends Domino....would love a Koto Bish of her...

Oh man no mutants or FF so sad :( That's blasphemy IMO :P

Yeah like Koto, DS and Sideshow that can get us statues and what not...

Heck yeah. Was so looking forward to AOA until they announced it was cancelled :(

But if Hasbro can talk their way into getting orders for a line and sustain it, then we start seeing things like combiner wars. Those took some build up to get to though. Power Core combiners paved the way for that to retailers, but the continued strong sales opened the door for much more. Combiner wars is also an offshoot of Generations though, and early generations this go round had a minor fixation on prime and bumblebee to get themselves on shelves. Even combiner wars itself had to work in a prime figure which thankfully was planned to be retooled into Motormaster. Hasbro is trying to balance that system to get what they know sells out on shelves past the retail ordering people.

If you've ever worked for those retail stores, you know how 'in the know' those various representatives and corporate types actually are too. And that is to say not much if at all. They know what their kids watch maybe, and what's in theaters.

Surprise there is no CW BB haha....

Sony did. Or really their lack of security did. Remember the PS3 fiasco? If that's how they treat client data with poor security, I doubt they treat their internal security for other areas any better. Not to mention they still have a lot of unhappy tech people out in the world now from the entire root kit music CD fiasco too.

kylactus 07-15-2015 05:35 PM

can anyone remember a storyline, I'm guessing mid to late 90's era, where sandman is lobotomized by, as I recall, the government, and used as kind of a symbiotic suit (like Venom without the mind) I can't find anything about it anywhere! keep in mind this was at least 20 years ago, and I only have a vague recollection. I'm pretty sure I'm remembering it correctly, but it might have been a "what if" or something.

For years we heard that the stores demand Ironman, Spider-man, and Wolverine that is why they are so abundant. While I agree that the average joe wants those three more than other figures, but the average joe does not buy the entire line like collectors do so why should their opinion be the one that matters? I think stores are smart enough to realize that when they buy into a line it will change from shipment to shipment, I could be wrong and maybe their is a Walton out there going "I can't wait for our stores to get more of the figures that never sell!"

So this goes back to Hasbro passing the blame from spot to spot. I don't hate them, in fact I love what they produce. I just wish there wasn't so much smoke and mirrors and someone could just tell us where things are heading and why.

yeah I kind of doubt that the retailers "force" hasbro to pack the same main characters that peg warm, and even if they did at least make them a little different so collectors will consider buying them (add a cap wolf or alternate zombie head, unmaksed variant or something). That first rebranding wave was brutal with the 3 IM per case (the same one that was single carded, repainted, and in the heroic age team pack).
I'm in the same boat, I love the stuff hasbro puts out, but I feel like constructive criticism helps. I hope they use that same Jim lee cyclops buck more (like they are doing with the yellow daredevil). Why reinvent the wheel just to make it worse?

I'd like domino, pyro, Avalanche, proper blob, lady death strike (classic or muertas version) toad, morph, forge, caliban, Madeline Pryor, sentinel drones/nimrod, and I would LOVE a spiral figure, either classic and/or her Xmen look. I also wouldn't mind some marauders like scalp hunter, or vertigo and some hellfire club goons.

It's funny I was reading marvel vs dc to my son recently and some of the big matchups were jubilee vs robin, Logan vs lobo, and storm vs Wonder Woman (wielding mjolnir!). Kinda sad to see how far our merry mutants have fallen.

kylactus 07-15-2015 08:22 PM

but at least we haven't gotten the costume Thor was wearing in the Marvel vs DC series. Has anyone used the Caliban from the Toybiz line as a stand in? just curious how it measures up.

as far as X characters we NEED!
1. original X-force (with first appearance Cable)
2. 90's X-factor
3. brotherhood of mutants (preferably the original)
4. 90's Storm (if you weren't there for the 90's you don't get it)
5. M.L.F
6. Magneto's acolytes (including Colossus)
7. gigantic battles Krackoa (the living Island)
8. Death Bird
9. Dazzler
10. Gateway
Kernel's list plus this, I'll die happy.

I've got a long list of X-Men on my wish list but only 12 that I really consider "must haves" whether they get made or not. Four of them need to be done in Legends as well and make up my four of my five "must haves" in Legends (Madrox being the only one made in MI/MU and not ML

1. Polaris - needs in both. Would she sell? Well among collectors but I doubt to the general public.

2. Selene - needs in both. Would she sell, doubtful but except to hard core collectors, but everyone's got a severely underused unappreciated villain they absolutely love, and she is mine, dammit. But I don't see Hasbro ever releasing her given her "barely there" outfit.

3. Lady Deathstrike - needs in MI only. Would she sell? She would definitely sell well among collectors (probably the highest profile X-Villain not made in this line) and maybe in the general public.

4. Forge - need in MI only. Would he sell? I'd think he'd sell well among collectors but maybe not so much to the general public.

5. Cannonball - needs in MI only. Would he sell? I think he'd sell very well among collectors, not sure about the public.

6. Magik - needs (now) in MI only. Would she sell? Like hotcakes amongst collectors and I think the general public would also buy her given she is kind of a D&D Swords and Sorcery/Magic type of figure.

7. Moonstar - needs in both. Would she sell? She would sell somewhat among collectors but not so much probably in the general public.

8. Pyro - needs in MI only. Would he sell? Absolutely for collectors and probably decently for general public.

9. Avalanche - needs in MI only if you count the X-Men line for ML which I do. Would he sell? Absolutely for collectors and probably okay in the general public.

10. Domino - Needs in MI only. Would absolutely sell for collectors and if given the right outfit might sell okay in general public. The Femme Fatale thing is kind of in right now.

11. Exodus - needs in both. Would he sell? Probably for hardcore collectors and maybe okay in general public as he'd be one of those "neat looking villains"

12. Spiral - needs in MI only. Would she sell? She would probably sell pretty well for collectors and maybe okay in the general public, given her unique appearance, which that same appearance unfortunately makes her among the least likely figures we would see.

Now granted the "would they sell" part is just my thoughts on it and I could be wrong. But if I had to narrow my X-Men wishes for this line down to "absolutes" and "give me these and I'll shut up about it" these are the characters I would choose.

Although There's probaby about twice as many other X-characters on my wish list. Syrin, Shadow King, Sauron, Marrow, Dazzler, Vulcan (boo I know), Nimrod and erm..."Nemesis" to name but a few.

ALso I'm not counting ALpha Flight as X-men characters because I'm not sure where those rights lie. And I do really want the entire core 8 members, which we still need Northstar(?), Shamen, Snowbird,
Guardian or Vindicator (Heather Hudson) and Sasquatch for sure.

Augustus_Cole 07-15-2015 08:24 PM

it's REALLY hard to believe that is happening (( FF and mutants))..that Disney would actually do that just because of the movies...BUT...as we can clearly see..it IS happening...

I know, right? I had forgotten all about it (or blocked it out) until Kernel mentioned it!

ChuckSass 07-15-2015 09:13 PM

Magik and Moonstar would be awesome. The only others I would like are Marvel owned characters: Misty Knight
Satana
Spectrum/Monica Rambeau
Kate Bishop
Elsa Bloodstone
Angela, Mantis
Hellcat
Jessica Jones.

Ha ha sorry guys, I hate seeing old college football highlights with midriffs. And how could I forget sauron when I had the old toybiz version (with those commercials and the wolverine mask that doubled as a sweet @$$ ring bling ice on my fingers). I brought out all my MU Xmen a while back and thought wow we got some x love. But seeing these lists I realize we have barely scratched the surface of the MU! I want a knockoff onslaught from China soon with no lame azz red skull head!

rea1180 07-15-2015 10:07 PM

On my want list forever:
Pyro
Hellcat
and a properly articulated Bishop

It works out pretty well, but it's his horseman/acolyte of apocalypse attire and not the normal one. Caliban isn't normally beefed up like that.

Polaris may happen later too. The question is whether or not it'll be a new mold or if they'll pull a toy biz and tweak the 90s Rogue figure for it.

Dazzler may happen sometime soon too. She's been getting high amounts of character exposure lately. The fact some of her recent stories have her with SHIELD doesn't hurt either.

Domino I'm surprised hasn't been made yet. They literally have all the parts for her between movie black widow and agent Helix. (Literally, put the Helix head on Black Widow and done.)

And that Blade comic sounds awesome! Lots of things to explore on that with a child of his being a quarter vampire instead of half. Plus everything else he's been exposed to as well that'd impact his genetics.

The toy biz era one from the X-Men line (not the BAF) has the magneto styled helmet and fits in scale pretty well. I use that one for my dio.

All New Female 'Blade' Coming To Marvel Comics : T-Lounge : Tech Times

SDCC EXCLUSIVE: Seeley Makes Fighting a Family Affair in Marvel's "Blade" - Comic Book Resources

The new Blade comic sounds like a pretty awesome read. Not sure why him having a daughter is emasculating at all. Personally, I want a figure of her now. Come on hasbro! Perfect comic pack opportunity right here. A chance to redo Blade using the winter soldier buck used for Nick Fury, and a chance to do what looks like a badass new character with a neat design!

She sounds very "What if Kendra was Buffy in the movie and the movie wasn't so campy but handled seriously." How they plan on exploring Blade himself sounds promising too. Definitely worth a read.

Jackieboy 07-16-2015 04:03 AM

nice to see the 2 packs making a return in infinite form.those stands that some of the upcoming figures were posed on made me ask that question.seemed a bit odd using a dual stand..........but im heartbroken that hasbro did NOT reveal any doombots.

Finally got Giant Man at Walmart today. I just had to do a test shot of what he looks like with the 4" Avengers:
