People will order it anyway just because its Mezco and they've made some good products. They are being smart with their advertising by not showing anything because people will click preorder without seeing it and commit to by it then they will justify their purchase even if the initial images don't look so hot.
Stop buying into the hype and buy what you like.

Hype is buying it sight-unseen... Their Superman figures have been shit- which makes diving blind into a $125 figure (plus $20 s/h) with a $31.25 NRD nothing BUT a "hype" purchase. Heck- I'll be happy if they give even 10min to see the damn doll before the pre-orders go live... fingers crossed that sometime today they'll show the figure and fingers even double crossed that this pre-order will last until everyone can order it vs a limited number that will sell out in moments...

There is apic going around on-line of it (unless it's fake- you know...) sculpt looks good but the suit seems a little weak- which iguess is pretty movie accurate for what it is. lol.

Once the pre-order goes live they will add photos. If you don't see what you like then simply don't order it. Nobody is going to order it blindly without seeing it.

This was most likely going to be an SDCC exclusive given the timing of it. Limited to 6 instead of 2. I think the stock will be there with this one and it won't sell out quickly. I think it will even end up on BBTS with a slight price bump. But I could also be wrong.

Mind sharing it? I haven't seen any pictures going around IG regarding the figure other then this one from Mezco. I wouldn't be surprised if someone in China has it already.

Haven't seen anything from Mezco. Just a decent Custom that someone did using the KO MOS body, a customized 1978 costume, and I think the Neca head? or a custom head. Nothing recent.

I get what you are saying but of course people would buy it without even seeing it and the herd mentality will have people preordering it with teaser pictures. It happens in not only the toy industry but any sales pitch especially when dealing with niche items that have collectors that snatch up every item.

Sad thing is, people don't do research on anything today anyway. How many people read the ballot or legitimately learn about candidates? Most look at the political party or remember the quippy 30 second ad and vote by that.

I think he looks pretty good overall. He comes in a tin with some cool accessories so, I don’t think $125 is that far out of line. He’s going to look great posed with the Keaton Batman and the classic Wonder Woman. For me the hardest part of preordering him was dealing with Mezcos website. The last few times I’ve ordered from them everything went smoothly. Today was a pain. I did eventually get my order in but I had to try several times. PayPal just wouldn’t go through. I switched to my credit card and after several attempts it finally went through.

Same. I was at work ordering it. My co-workers were looking at me like I was demonically possessed! I was screaming at my computer and waving my credit card in the air. They've come to expect to hear the speaking of tongues during this time of year, since I'm usually trying to get NECA SDCC products.

I have to vehemently disagree. The neutral face is ok, not amazing but you can defo tells that's Reeve. And I like that they have finally listened to people that always wanted trunks as a separate piece... But nearly everything else is off including the base body, they should have used the Star Trek/Joker one. Cape's too long and someone pointed out he doesn't have the S on it either. Speaking of holes, let's talk about that neck hole you could drive a Geo Tracker through...

The fortress of solitude piece looks very plasticky and toyetic the more I look at it. Hard to judge from the pics we got, but I'd hope they would put a little more effort into the paint job before it's finally released.

The S on the back is fixed now. I wouldn't be surprised if they shorten the cape too before it gets released.

I don’t understand this. Superman always has a wide neckline on his suits. I’ve looked at movie shots from all 4 Reeve movies and it looks perfectly acceptable.

Oh well, can’t win ‘em all, can you, Mezco? Other than the smiling face, there is nothing about this I don’t like. Looks aces to me. Hopefully the final product looks as good.

Would love them to take it one step further and release a Mezco Clark Kent because imho that’s where Chris Reeve truly shined. Might give the schmucky smile a use.
