They look to have brought back the great articulation to a lot of the figures with some great characters and the comic two packs, to me it looks like Hasbro are being serious again with the 3.75 figures instead of some of the crap we got from this years waves.

Another thing when it showed the 3.75 they were branded as Legends are they changing the branding again for the smaller figures?

Only thing i didn't like was the video of the official slideshow presentation i watched had the official guy speaking introduce the 3.75 stuff by saying "now we've got the 6 inch out of the way lets get onto the good stuff" with a bit of a jeer behind it sounded a bit mocking and taking the piss, might be me though being paranoid.

Of course it's okay for you to be excited by what you saw, even if you weren't a new collector. Various people's opinions will vary. The character choices for the most part for me are not the characters I want but for some it may be all their top figures. No one should judge another collector for liking or not liking particular characters, just all different tastes man.

As for the last comment, you are not paranoid. I do think that the Hasbro reps view the smaller line as being the ugly stepsister to legends now, which is really unfortunate. However, if you're getting the figures you want out of it, then all the better, they are doing something right even if they're not intending to.

Finally managed to add Giant-Man to my collection...

Now to wait for the SDCC set to show up in HTS so I can try to snag that. *sigh*

Kamatayan 07-25-2015 02:44 PM

There's this Anti-Venom I'm constantly stalking. It's $50 plus the $15 shipping but I'm really desperate. He's a must have for my Spiderverse. I'm working really hard to try to get the money to afford him. I just hope nobody snags him before I can. In the event that someone does, I'll think I'll invest the money in a Championpool or Ladypool. Or maybe even buy an Anti-Venom off an Arker who doesn't care for theirs.

ukmu 07-25-2015 03:23 PM

Looks cool on your awesome Avengers shelf Ursa!!!

Good.to hear from you by the way!

UrsaMagnus 07-25-2015 05:04 PM

Yeah, summer is busy. I've been lurking but not posting much, obviously. XP

Looks like the rocks from the second gijoe movie

Is there a classic spiderman with the same articulation as the super one from the movie line? I like Spidey with all that articulation but really want him in his classic look

ukmu 07-26-2015 12:06 AM

You will most likely have to kitbash one together. There is a super recipe out there, I will try and find it. Takes like three or four Spideys, using the best bits from each to combine into one that Hasbro should have given us. Also, a lot of folks put tiny powerful magnets in his feet.

There is also the SDCC version of him as well. It is from 2010 and is fantastic I hear. There are sure.to be some awesome reviews on YouTube of him. I haven't checked prices or rarity but I would image he isn't cheap. I like to have the rarest version of a classic character if possible. I haven't bothered with this version though. Perhaps I will look into it soon.

I think the best route is to seek out the parts Spidey to Spidey. One has rocker ankles, one has a double pivotal wrist, one has thigh swivels, one has swivel calves...etc. Study pics and put him together. Good news is it will be cheap as Spidey figures are not exactly rare. ;) Watch a lot of reviews on YouTube and you can come up with your own unique recipe. I am sure you can come up with 25 points of articulation if you do your homework.

Zend 07-26-2015 12:42 AM

I'm still looking to get two of those SDCC Spidey figures, one loose and one mint on card with the cardboard sleeve.

therealjustin 07-26-2015 02:31 AM

I found the 3.75" Ant-Man figure at TRU and had to grab him. This may very well be one of the last MCU figure with decent articulation that we see.

Hasbro actually did a decent job sculpting the details but I could not wait to open up my paints and get detailing :D

Yeah I did the same; whipped out my Ultron silver, but then found it rubbed off after a while.

I sought that one out not to long ago. The cheapest I found it was at $25. But I didn't look very hard. I think that figure is actually one of the very first 3 3/4" Marvel figures. From what I've seen in reviews, it has pretty good articulation, but it's not as good as the TASM Super Articulated figure. Here's a picture of it next to the TASM Super Articulated figure for comparison.

I'm gonna have to look for that piece when I'm done hunting down the figures seen in my signature. The Raimi Spider-Man will always have a special place in my heart.

Here is a shot of all the female bucks in the "splits" pose. Basically showing Range Of Movement vs Points Of Articulation. More articulated does not always translate to more poses. Anyway, thought Ladypool we in it, that is why I was posting.

What was it you were trying to say in that last sentence?

ukmu 07-26-2015 08:58 AM

Oddly enough.... The more points of articulation the female buck has, the less plea or she becomes. At least when it comes to the space the the legs can spread.

ukmu 07-26-2015 09:00 AM

Just showing her some appreciation. I don't have any shots of Championpool and I don't own Anti Venom.

When it comes to females it's very important that they can spread their legs!

If any of you do, could you post a few pics? I saw someone trading it for a blue Abomination but I think that thread is dead. The Arker who snagged that is so freaking lucky. It frustrates me even more because one of my local comic stores has a lot of the blue Abominations for around $10.

probably one of those figs that will disappoint when you finally get it and with it being white runs the risk of yellowing, besides its just a repaint of the mcgargan venom that was released with the spidey line a few years ago.

i like this one...showdown spidey, holds that classic feel and has articulated areas that the latest stuff doesnt have!get this one if you can.plus its closer to parkers physical look than most of the universe-infinite spideys!

I don't mind that it's a McGargan repaint. But the yellowing thing is problematic. Are there ways to evade it from yellowing, or is it inevitable?
