For members saying Abominations is too short , i think hes okay, i wasn't sure on his height at first either till i did research and he only stands at 6' 8" i thought he was taller
according to marvel.wikia.com, hulk stands about 7' - 8' varying on your favorite one the shortest hes been 6'6" as grey hulk. I only moan if a character is meant to be either the same height or taller... okay Giant-man is the only exception.. but as these two can be done right height wise. I think he is.
So hulk has to be a bit taller then Abomination, i think i might get this BAF varying on how the SDCC ones looks he seems to have a darker skin tone...
Judging by these image he looks great , just those blue shorts... they should be black.

Once upon a time, Marvel was actually pretty consistent in terms of how they portrayed all their characters, and a LOT of the "big guys" were smaller than you think (Thor was only a couple inches taller than Captain America, for example, and Iron Man was taller than either of them when he was in his suit). Very few were over 7 feet.

Now...a lot of artists ignore that.

I'm surprised that the next Cap wave is already popping up for review. I just started seeing the Civil War wave in stores by me. With the X-Men wave coming soon, the next Spider-Man wave and the Cap wave, I'm feeling like I'll have no money this summer.

AND I can tell you from first hand experience that 9 times out of 10 we get 1, YES 1, case of any given figure line at a time. Unless the toy aisle is getting reset ( which only happens about once a quarter) we will get in 1 case of Legends, DC Multiverse, Transformers, ect at a time. The ONLY time we get an abundance of a line is if it is for a feature. A feature is going to be an end aisle display or a floor display that goes in the middle of the main aisles. Like when Civil War came out we got a display that had 2 cases worth of the Onslaught wave in it. And once that product gets sold enough that the display is partly empty it will get put in the regular spot in the aisle and cleared for a new product to display. AND yes ALL Cap Legends are under the same sku no matter the WAVE. Same goes for Spidey Legends ect.. So when a store has , lets say 3 pegs for Cap legends, that means about 15-18 figures depending on how crammed the peg gets. (but the store usually goes with what a peg can hold without cramming) So Legends come in a case of 8, so 2 cases would be 16 figures, so enough to fill the pegs and have an extra as they see it. So since that sku is the same in their system no matter the wave, if the 3 pegs are full of previous waves the system will not automatically order any more because the inventory tells them that the stock is at max capacity for the assigned spot on the shelf. SO unless the current stock sells, they have no reason to get more in because it is all the same product to them.
Hope that all made sense, got a little long there.

P.S. We just got 1 single case in this week of the new Transformers Titans Returns figures. Just 1 case because we are still sitting on a few of the Combiners wars figures.

P.P.S. We HATE having anything in the back stock room, We will do almost anything to not have product back there. Most of what gets put in back is food, baby, pets, and general bulk merch. Toys has one of the smallest backstock areas in the back room and most of what ends up back there are stupid stuff like Hulk Hands and child movie tie in crap. There is almost a 0% chance that FIGURES that members of this forum would be wanting are not put out the night that they came off of the truck.

Dude, that's good to know you work there !! I guess like i said Awhile back, i recall not with walmarts but toys r us stores. When i was a youngster, my grandmother would somehow get a lady who worked there to bring out another case of whatever figures i wanted. Even though the shelves were stocked. That leads me to believe that TRU stores still might have large stocks of figures in the back.

I guess with your info that sounds exceptable for walmarts. Dude considering you have the "inside scoop". You need to keep us updated.

i mean common sense would tell all of us, i guess the stores aren't ordering as much due to the fact they have an overstock of older waves at each location. i've been to walmarts, one target store, TRU and they all have Cap wave 1, and left over spider-man absorbing man figures. im sure each store probably have pallets full of these things... i don't buy whenever you ask a store clerk, if they have anymore in the back then their response is "No". You honestly mean to tell me these big mega locations only get one or 2 cases at a time at their locations? i mean cmon...... i think it's a factor of laziness on the employees part and of course the store has too many of the current waves.

Personally i think they ( the stores ) are trying to get rid of current stock but unforunately no one is buying them. due to the fact everyone has gotten what they want from them at this point.

Well I used to work at Target, and personally it's less about laziness than some of us who just get tired of collector nerds thinking that the back room is a magically subspace where stores keep all the latest cases of the toys you want. When an employee says there's nothing back there, there really is nothing back there.

The stores you speak of do only get 1 maybe 2 cases at a time, and it's an automatic ordering process that will tell the Distribution Center to send more only if that store needs more, if you want another Cap ML case of 8 to show up you need to go out and get rid of the pegs full of Hulkbuster wave and Red Onslaught wave figures no one wants first. There's no secret about it.

I think that Abomination turned into Cho'od would have been brilliant. Of course in no way fits a Cap wave but does Abomination really? It's a totally disappointing BAF, as well as baffling, for several reasons: the character is also going to be in the SDCC exclusive, though I realize not everyone will get that and it won't be a wide release, but still, out at roughly the same time? That's the baffling side. Disappointing because both the TBML and MS Abominations are superior. I think the TBML Abomination is easily in the top 10 figures they made and this figure pales in comparison to that. Also the color scheme is all wrong.

It's almost a shame I want the entire wave (well, the Captains I'm meh on but most of the wave) because I don't want this BAF at all. But I'm sticking with my preorder because I don't want to hunt down the figures I DO want, and preordering is just easier at this point.

I've seen a couple of slightly clearer pics of the SDCC set and the Abomination in that set is different from the BAF. The BAF has the light green highlights whereas the SDCC version is dark green all over. I think the heads might be different too but I don't know for sure.

Honestly ursa major or the bigger crimson dynamo would made more sense.

Speaking of the SDCC set, anyone else find it odd that SDCC is about two weeks away and we still don't have any official photos of the set?

Also photos of Wolverine at Fwoosh:
Hasbro: X-Men Legends Wolverine | The Fwoosh

Even shorter than the TRU exclusive one. Very nice.

I was just thinking that this morning but since I've made the complaint twice already I I didn't want to come across badly. But yes, I do find it odd.

Dr Kain 07-05-2016 07:56 AM

Abomination looks fine to me. Hopefully he really is in the SDCC pack so i don't have to even bother with the majority of this wave.

Harbinger 07-05-2016 08:02 AM

Does anyone have a two pack elektra? It can be skrull or human version. Mine just fell off the shelf and broke at the left foot. Anyone if ya can help would be most most appreciated.

I used to work in receiving at Toys R Us back during the days when ToyBiz transferred over the Marvel license to Hasbro. I can comment a little bit on their practices as things were a little different then but have radically shifted in the years since, however I'm at work at the moment and typing this out on my phone so I'll have to do it a little bit later.

Dr Kain 07-05-2016 10:38 AM

So Thefwoosh has a review up for Wolverine and I would be lying if I didn't say he looks down right incredibe. I've never looked at a Wolverine toy in 20 years and thought it looked amazing.

Agree, usually if it's the big 6 (or is it 8 now with Black Widow and Hawkeye?) I just usually sigh and pass them over as filler. But this Wolverine looks sweet.

Captain Nash 07-05-2016 11:12 AM

I see MarvelousNews is posting some better images (maybe the ones referenced earlier) but also putting to question if this is legitimate or not. Apparently the person who posted/shared/whatever the picture is a known customizer and pretty talented. Now I'm all worried. Hasbro REALLY needs to just reveal the damn thing.

Hemanguy 07-05-2016 11:21 AM

Yeah I keep looking at the picks, the two big figures keep playing tricks on my mind. Sometimes their hips look new other times they look like toybiz hips. Can't tell if the other fig is the new hobgoblin mold or not.

Spyne98 07-05-2016 11:31 AM

@Hemanguy
I thought I read somewhere that the Dreadknight is using the Hobgoblin mold. I wish I knew where I read that, because I would share the link. I'll check when I am at home later today.

I beg to differ.... im quite sure IF i offered someone a $5 spot or $10 dollar bill, i'd bet they would run back there to actually look. While im NOT saying EVERY walmart/target/TRU employee is a lazy sack of Sh!t, alot of them are though. i can easily tell when someone just tells me something just to blow a costumer off.

UpDog 07-05-2016 12:41 PM

Can't get into this new wolverine. Looks like a great figure and I'm glad people are stoked on him but I don't dig the coloring, and to me he looks just a little too bulky, too rounded, in my minds eye, that's not how I see that era of wolverine. The series 6 to me is still perfect for how I remember/envision that incarnation.

XW1n5t0nX 07-05-2016 12:52 PM

I think I'll stick with the series 6 as well. It just screams Wolverine. The Hasbro one doesn't look all that bad in terms of articulation, but something about the face just makes it off putting and, like UpDog said it is little too muscular.

It sucks because I had a preorder with BBTS the day they became available but cancelled it when the pre orders became available on Amazon Prime. Now I'm seeing people getting shipping notices from BBTS. It also sucks that I was one of the first orders on Dorkside within minutes of availability but I won't be apart of the first orders shipped. I'm happy that everyone is getting their orders within the next week or so. This should let Hasbro know demand for X-men figures is very real and we hopefully get at least one wave a year. I can't wait to see the pictures you guys post!

That sucks, they shipped mine out and I should have it today. Totally stoked on having them...

On saying that, I am baffled that Hasbro has not delivered an updated comic book Widow yet. Might just make my own using a spare Silk figure, because it's driving me insane that they aren't taking advantage of such an easy character to release.

Hasbro found time to make a figure of Cap costume that technically never happened but we still can't get a 616 Widow lol
