Here are all my Comic versions of Steve Rogers.

Got the Superior Spider-Man today. Really love the character and this figure. The only other figures I want from this wave are Carnage and Black Cat. Maybe Electro....

Man, I freakin' loved that Face-Off Cap. Until Yesterday it was totally my "Go to" Cap figure. |

Also I was checking the MLWP, and wow they really screwed people over in building Puck since Emma is the one with his body and she's obviously the short packed one. Why they didn't put it with Wolverine is beyond me. Oh Hasbro...why oh why. |

I like how Cap's new uniform from Winter Soldier kinda looks like his Commander Rogers outfit, just without the red stripe on the legs. For MU... Commander Rogers was always my default Cap, but it always kinda bothered me a little, but now that feeling has lessened since I can just pretend he is wearing a variation of his Winter Soldier movie outfit.

Can't post any pics right now (at work), but my ASM2 Legends Spidey and Superior Spidey just came in, and these figures are AWESOME. I can't stop posing and messing around with these guys! Black Cat is on her way too, but for now, I'd have to say both the Cap and Spidey Legends lines are excellent, and I'm looking forward to future movie specific 6 inchers if they follow this pattern of quality and fun.

The new Captain America and Spider-Man lines have dragged me back into action figures a bit after quite a long hiatus. I stumbled upon them randomly and grabbed a Superior Spider-Man and a Marvel Now Captain America. They are both great. I have had a Toybiz Ultimate Captain America with a Legends series 1 Captain America head as my go to Cap, but he's been replaced by the Marvel Now version. And while I don't really care for many Spider-Man variations, the Superior Spider-Man has totally won me over. I like how it sort of looks like the Alex Ross concept art for the first Spider-Man movie. And the open hand with thumb makes for some cool poses and a contemplative Peter/Dock Ock at times. I love the figure, and I hope they use it as a base for a standard Spider-Man costume in the future. I would be all over that.

Walked into target last night, not even aware these were out (since I don't really collect 6 inch) and though Cap was picked dry, they had every Spidey figure except Carnage! I snagged a Black Cat just because.

My target put out the captain wave out today. Grabbed all of them expect the WW2 cap. That figure just doesn't do it for me. Now I'm ready for wave 2 and the Spiderman variants.

I can't remember the last time I walked into a store and came out with 11 brand new marvel legends figures in one shot. Probably all the way back in the face-off days was the last time. I somewhat feel sorry for whoever came into Target after me today, but just getting one of each wiped out the shelf except for a cap and a spidey. Now I can go back into my cave and not find any new legends again for the next six months.
It was really nice finding the variants on the shelves for Cap. Still disappointing though that we have two BAF's with over 50% reused parts Not that Ultimate Green Goblin will ever see the light of day on my shelves. Take the pics and into a storage bin he will go. This looks like it could be a good fit at stores in the current climate. Marvel Legends disquised as movie packaging have the ability to be clearanced quicker on the slow sells and allow for restocks due to dvd releases. A good way to trick the retailer into treating it like a movie line when it only slightly is. Too bad we couldn't have had something like this last year for Thor. |
