yes! I'm getting back in the game. Trying to recoup my old collection. I started out with most of HML1 and 2. Then got the Giant Man series, Toybiz wave 4, Onslaught series with variants and Galactus series with variants all MOC
Also getting a few Brood Queen series, Exclusive SS, FF Hasbro 2 packs, Red Hulk Wave and Nemesis wave. Unfortunately for me they are not MOC although the have been repacked in the original packaging to look MOC. The Red Hulk and Nemesis BAFs are built but the figures are also in the packaging. I may resell them and get some other waves MOC.

Holy hell, man! Did you spend the children's college funds?!?

Yup, mine have been $8.99 and $18.99 for a month or so now...

Mine are at $40 this weekend. I forget where the $12 ones were... in the US though.

I feel like there should be a 'bitch' at the end of this one.

I checked a WM on the way in to work, and no dice. They put out the minimuggs, the Deluxe Avengers figs, and the 10" Hulk, but nothing else new. The 4 pegs FULL of IM2 figs were $5 though. I grabbed the deluxe ones since they are only $12.97 rather than TRU's $15.99.

My local TRU had the CP at 17.99 since like November last year. During that time they accumulated tons of Cyke/Marvel Girl, Sabertooth/Wolverine, and S SamuraiPatch like 10 of each. Went yesterday Nd the dropped them to 13.99 and now all they have are Cyclops pack.

Just wanted to share.

So this is why I hate going toy hunting anymore....10 fuckin stores..Nothing...No new MU,No new Avengers toys nothing....40 bucks in gas,and didn't find shit....Besides I have to deal with th assholes on the street to top it all off....I'm going to stick to online shopping from now on...Less headache, and I might save a few bucks.......Sorry for the rant guys....But its just frustrating as hell.... could have been doing way more productive things...Then driving around town in my truck for 3 hours..

I used to love toy hunting, but now toys have become a way for people to make money and it ruined my hobby around here. I've run into plenty of people who scalp stuff, and it seems like every other time I go into a toy aisle there is some random dude already looking at the stuff I was about to look at, and they typically glare at me which is both aggravating and discouraging. I do occasionally find a gem or two, but its usually by accident.

WalkingDeadpool 02-28-2012 03:53 PM

Yea I used to love it to..but I'm done...If I'm at wally and Target I'll look...But other then that, online, and trades only for me.....

bmorr 02-28-2012 03:54 PM

toy hunting in my case isnt SO bad cause ive got 2 WM;S, 2 TRS's, and 3 Targets within 15-20 min. drives. I rarely see other collectors.

I get worried about those kinds of "collectors" too. My wife doesn't even notice them. I've always just been happy to walk faster/run ahead of them as soon as someplace opens. and if all else fails and someone got to my Marvel Universe Figures, I can always just mug them in the parking lot.

I was a bit disappointed that hasbro didn't improve the mold. I did give him wrist articulation but I passed on giving him ankle articulation. Too much of a pain in the a$$ and I didn't want to sacrifice a maverick xmo figure.

I totally agree with you. I only go through target and walmart when I'm there for other stuff. Tru, I'll make a stop once a week but it is depressing going on the hunt and finding nothing. On top of that gas is going up too. Trading with arkers and online is the way to go for me. When you factor in the price of gas, that extra $5 on top of the $10 figure cost is not that bad for me. Or at least thats what I tell myself, lol.

My area is like that as well. I love it! I'll run into a collector ever so often, actually a collector is what got me on this board, but he no longer posts. But it may change soon my hunting area :(

Went to Wally before coming to work. They about about 3 or 4 avengers figures. Picked up Ult. Thor. No Hawkeye. I'll hold on to him for now. Also had 1 each of the mechs that looked pretty sweet.

Quasimodo 02-28-2012 05:58 PM

Got thor and loki from the avengers line today. I was surprised that I really love them. They look wonderful and they're just well made.

ha ha ha...I was saying that I am considering a DIO project (legit) to make some figures pop, I sent a picture to my buddy of some figs on a shelf I have...he said they looked really good (shadowing), but since it was on a wooden shelf he said it looked crappy...

I dont know I am thinking about turning a shelf (boxed in), into a dio, but I am afraid there is so much space it will be hard to fill...maybe ill take WIP pics tomorrow to show yall...

Alright well I finally got around to using jin saotome's forum on making transparent accessories. Here is what I came up with so far. I like how it turned out. The possibilities are endless for transparent accessories.
