Sorry, I have no idea with some pictures get loopsided. I'll get the grasp of it eventually...I hope.

The females are always the hardest to find. That's a well known truth on my 20 years of collecting. And then, random characters, like Gladiator, which are part of memorable storylines, but perhaps not popular enough. Go figure.
Thou we have been getting pretty random figures lately.
Obviously, Spider-man sells, so we get more females (Ashley Barton, really? I like the figure, but I'm shocked) , and villains seem to popping up, which is awesome.
Avengers is a hot property right now, so we are getting more obscure characters (thou missing a few 70's/80's classics.
X-men are all pretty much done, whether good or bad ((except of course a couple females, errm, Polaris, Dazzler anyone?)
The ones that we old collectors are missing are the b-teams; like New Mutants, Alpha Flight, New Warriors, Defenders, and Thunderbolts, to name a few (yeah I like Runaways too, but they don't scream classic characters-Nico being the exception).; but I gotta say, I am more and more impressed with the sneaky random choices, Hasbro is putting out there.
Someone up there, knows their Marvel stuff. Machine Man, Misty Knight, Blizzard? Satana?!. Heaven. I think I cry a little when Medusa was announced.
Now I think the whole Marvel Universe is seen as a whole market (specially under Disney, never shy to milk the cow). So whomever catches the imagination of the people-above can make it into toy form. Which is exciting.
I for one, will relish the day when my favourite ginoid Jocasta is made, and I will buy them all and form an army, and you will all hate me. Or not....

Is it my imagination and wishful thinking, or does Enchantress look taller than she would if she were just a plain repaint of Scarlet Witch? She should be around half an inch taller to be accurate.

I want an updated Scorpion, gambit. Also. A whizzer would be nice.

That's my thinking on the matter. The exorbitant secondary rates for SDCC exclusives plateau fairly quickly (from what I've seen) and waiting might make a difference of $10 to $15. It's a gamble, but it's one I'd take if she was the only fig I wanted from the set.

2012:
Archangel* (Hit Monkey Wave)
Psylocke
Wolverine* (Puck Wave)

2013:
Luke Cage
Ghost
Moonstone
Crossbones* (Ares Wave)
Satana

2014:
Star-lord* (Guardian’s Pack)
Black Bolt
Medusa
Gladiator
Blastaar

2015:
Doctor Strange* (Hulkbuster Wave)
Brother Voodoo
Hela
Magik
Dormammu* (Dormammu Wave)

2016:
Abomination* (Abomination Wave)
Enchantress
Dreadknight
Spider-man* (Hobgoblin Wave)
Purple Man
Sandman

Your logic makes sense, but I've a feeling (nothing concrete) that this character may just buck the trend. With the excessive amount of fans that have called for an Enchantress, and the number of years these requests have topped the charts, I think there's a good chance Hasbro will find some way to work her into another release. It'd be cruel not to...

SymbiSpidey 07-07-2016 09:07 PM

I still find it incredibly odd that the only Hasbro version of Luke Cage that we have is an SDCC boxset exclusive....I always saw him as a pretty core character in the Marvel Universe, and it's especially odd since we've gotten two Iron-Fists in the span of a little more than a year (provided a last minute change doesn't push him out of the Strange wave).

donmeca2020 07-07-2016 09:18 PM

considering everyone is already getting their X-men waves, im wondering what's taking so long for the spider-man wave to ship out? im waiting here wondering WTH lol

i think i might of started this when i saw the first images of it , due how big the eye was i thought it was a new Hasbro version look a like as in a re booted version seeing these hd images if it were a McFarlane one the black bits on the eyes should be thicker..

I wonder if they will do an EE exculsive like they did last year with a comic version of GOTG and Ant-man > Giant-man sets

Honestly, I don't have a problem seeing it as the Mcfarlane Spidey for my collection even it's not. It looks pretty close to me, but I'd have to see official photos of it first.

Harbinger 07-08-2016 04:33 AM

If these anyone who has or can get an extra deadpool from the juggy wave i just want him and the onslaught head.

X-Men are definitely nowhere near done. Aside from Polaris and Dazzler (which are probably two of the more prominent missing), we have Madrox, Monet, Wolfsbane, Exodus, Selene, Moonstar, Sunspot, Blink, Syrin, Emplate, Marrow, Hellion, Elixir, Cecelia Reyes, Callisto, Sebastian Shaw, Vulcan, Fitzroy, Rictor, Shatterstar Husk, Chamber, Dust, Karma, Surge, Rockslide, Mercury, Anole, Pixie, Magma, Warlock, Shadow King, Cypher, Pete Wisdom, Deathbird (more X-Men than anything else), Nimrod, Sauron, Bastion and those are just the ones I would buy. There's plenty others out there I would likely pass on that others want. And while I do realize that many of these will never get made, there are good number of the above I can see could be made (Madrox, Exodus, Moonstar, Sebastian Shaw, Sunspot, Sauron, Shatterstar, Nimrod and Blink being the most likely candidates).

That's not even including redos from both TB and Hasbro eras, that's just straight up never done before figures. So yeah, X-men are nowhere near done, there is a vast vein of figures to mine there.

Don't forget Morph, Thunderbird and Multiple Man and A Mimic would be cool. I want a redone Gambit and Angel

Tim 07-08-2016 06:41 AM

Nighthawk would be a awesome figure if they ever get to him.

Spyne98 07-08-2016 06:47 AM

To chime in on X-Men figures that need to be made, I agree that we need a new Angel. The Toy Biz one is very odd looking in my opinion. Aside from the wings that topple him over all the time, his shoulders are very ball-y. Like it looks like his shoulders are literally made out of balls (and I know they are ball joints, but his are super big). I know that happened a few times with the Toy Biz guys.
Nash, that list is fantastic. I thought there was a rumor about Shatterstar in an upcoming wave? I really want any 90's X-Force characters. It would be great it their costumes were from the 90's, but I would take any version.

Yeah as soon as I made this list, within the next 10 minutes I came up with at least another 50 characters I would likely buy almost all of them are obscure though except for Maddie Pryor of course. She, however will likely never be made given her outfit, same with my #3 most wanted character Selene. Oh how I wish we could get a Selene. That is a total pipe dream though so I don't even list her most of the time, it's just not going to happen.

PS Madrox is Multiple Man.

VonPooten 07-08-2016 06:56 AM

^ Uuuh, Nash, no Layla Miller? For shame! I mean, she will never see the light of day as a figure (or again in comic books for that matter), but damn is she a great character.

Speaking of Ms. Pryor, I'm re-reading the lead up to Inferno, and I forgot how sympathetic Madelyne is. She may be one of the most understated villains in Marvel. It's a shame that, when she's came back into the fold, she was written as a bog-standard "evil ex-wife" character.

Hi mate, can I ask where you acquired Wanda and the Space Venom figures? Fellow UK-er here, and the only website (that I know of) selling individual figures in Forbidden Planet, and they aren't being released until September. Any info would be appreciated!

If this year has proven anything, it's that Hasbro A) Shouldn't produce as many figures as they can, as the quality of the products dip, which also seems to impeach the SDCC set, and B) Must avoid releasing multiple waves under one umbrella name. It's nice that Cap is getting three waves, but when stores overstock on the first one in anticipation of the movie and thus can't bring in the two new sets, there's a problem. Spider-Man is okay, since his name tends to move most of his product, but the other three needed seperate names/codes. Avengers, Civil War, and Captain America waves would have worked fine.

O Didn't know Madrox was multiple man. Yeah highly doubt they will make a Action figure of Maddie Pryor in that outfit. A selene would be awesome! It's strange thinking how many X men we need i can list about 40 of them i would instantly purchase not including updates like Banshee and Gambit.

Captain Nash 07-08-2016 06:59 AM

Maybe we can get a Women Of The Underboob SDCC exclusive next year featuring Selene, Maddie and Morgan Le Fay?

Yeah the toy biz angel was ok back in the day but now he just looks hysterically bad and way too small. They need to make a new one and A Gambit

Never can go wrong with Underboob real or Action figure form.
