Oh I bet they'll remake all the core X-Men figures at some point if the X-waves continue. The hardest one would likely be Beast, I'd think, but that's okay in a way because Beast is also the one that holds up the best from TB days, IMO.

If the rumored second wave is true, I'm actually surprised that only Cyclops and Collossus are included from the Blue And Gold era (not that they'll be in those costumes necessarily, just saying as characters.) I expect we'll see either FA or 90's Storm soon enough, along with Bishop, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Angel, Psylocke and while not TB originally they really need to let us let go of that horrid Banshee figure they did, and I wouldn't mind a new Domino, Forge and Cannonball.

As far as villains go if the rumored Lady Deathstrike is released, the only other villains that need to be redone are Toad and Sinister. Quite honestly TB's Pyro and Omega Red are works of art.

Is the cyclops your talking about 90's Jim Lee cyclops or something else? That would be nice a 90's Gambit and angel are what i really want, and yes that beast is still really cool he was one of my first Marvel legends

I had my Pyro and Omega Red displayed for the longest time and people used to always comment on how good they looked. To this day, they are in my top 10 toy biz legends.

It's unknown what version the rumored Cyclops will be, but I'm hoping it's the Jim Lee version. To be honest it's the other other version to be made I would want, although if this line up is true I'll likely get the whole wave, so no matter what version it is, I'll be getting him.

Speaking of Ms. Pryor, I'm re-reading the lead up to Inferno, and I forgot how sympathetic Madelyne is. She may be one of the most understated villains in Marvel. It's a shame that, when she's came back into the fold, she was written as a bog-standard "evil ex-wife" character.

Hi mate, can I ask where you acquired Wanda and the Space Venom figures? Fellow UK-er here, and the only website (that I know of) selling individual figures in Forbidden Planet, and they aren't being released until September. Any info would be appreciated!

If this year has proven anything, it's that Hasbro A) Shouldn't produce as many figures as they can, as the quality of the products dip, which also seems to impeach the SDCC set, and B) Must avoid releasing multiple waves under one umbrella name. It's nice that Cap is getting three waves, but when stores overstock on the first one in anticipation of the movie and thus can't bring in the two new sets, there's a problem. Spider-Man is okay, since his name tends to move most of his product, but the other three needed seperate names/codes. Avengers, Civil War, and Captain America waves would have worked fine.

UK-ER here too :D I use either of the following sites

-In-demand toys which is where i got my x-men set , still waiting on it though ... Marvel Superheroes - Marvel Legends & Other 6" Figures - ID Toys

-Kapow toys , ordered from here really good, https://www.kapowtoys.co.uk/bandai-j...html?limit=all

only ordered from in-demand for the x-wave cause it worked out cheaper i had a coupon as well which gave me 10% off the x-wave. I generally get my stuff via ebay... cause its sometimes cheaper.

Yeah I'm hoping for a Jim lee Cyclops. Have they said what the build a figure is? I want an updated Pyro and Avalanche to go with Blob.

Sorry Von just saw your Layla comment. I would definitely buy her. She was among the many I thought of right after I posted. She's a great character and sad it's likely she'll never been seen again.

and Tim, no word on what the rumored BAF is. I know many are hoping it's Sauron, because there's no way he's getting made without being a BAF (how many half human half pteradons are there in Marvel comics after all to reuse the mold on), but I'm thinking it's likely going to be a Sentinel or Apocalypse. Which is kind of a shame, I'd rather see a brand new BAF as both the Sentinel and Apocalypse are stellar BAFs - I think we can mostly agree that despite TB's many flaws, they killed it with the BAFs. In consolation and compromise I will trade the Sauron for a Nimrod though if it means not getting a redo of a BAF again. Or my pipe dream BAF, Shadow King.

I still think we need a definitive version of Apocalypse that isn't giant, and I can't see them doing that without making it a BAF or starting a deluxe figure line.

you don't like Fatpocalypse from the TB line? :D I do sort of agree, he's not my favorite figure, just would rather see a couple of other characters be made before he's done as a BAF. I think it's likely he will be though given his prominence.

UpDog 07-08-2016 08:28 AM

Just found a display full of Namor's while doing my. Passed on them because don't care enough about the character to get it before it's eventual clearance. That being said, if anyone wants one, let me know

He's a favorite villain of mine, growing up in the animated series/evolution era, I fondly remember playing with his 5 POA figure with the interchangeable arms as a kid

Slightly off topic but i think the Onslaught Apocalypse Rising figure is my all-time favorite figure from the 90's figures lines. Baring the now out of date articulation, just absolutely incredible.

You ought to get that Namor he is a excellent figure he's trident is a tad big but other wise is perfect. Only reason i got him was i had a $15 coupon for walgreens.

Nice, man, thank you very much for that! :D I order from Kapow aswell, but they seem to have gained more buyers this year, as their stock always runs out pretty fast (I think the Space Venom wave are the only new MLs still for sale). I shall use ID Toys now though if Kapow runs out, so cheers for the link!

@Nash, On saying that, I like the idea that Jamie and Layla are married on a farm somewhere. The fact that they've not been used by another writer gives you hope that they're having (at least) a few years off duty without being screwed over.

On the topic of Nimrod, I can see them reusing most of the parts from the Mandroid (itself a partially reused BAF), but eh, if it gets us the big pink mutant hunter, I'll be happy!

Dr Kain 07-08-2016 09:12 AM

This might sound kind of dumb, but I just learned that Jean Grey had doned the persona of Phoenix for several years. I thought the Phoenix stuff was like one half year long mini arc.

It's all about what you've read. I may be wrong, but I think a while back you had indicated you hadn't read much of non-recent x-books, and Jean has been gone from the books for aboug 15 years now, so it's understandable you wouldn't know this. Marvel has such a vast library that it's practically impossible to be well-versed in every corner of it. There's probably a ton of stuff I dont' know about F4, Spider-Man or Daredevil just from the lack of reading I've done in those corners of the MU.

Gotta be honest, the more I check my figure the more I like it and really see Olsen. Just not quite from the front, but more from the sides. Her face painting is lovely. I'm pretty sure they used digital sculpt, as her profile is, for sure, Elisabeth.

Fingers cross on the last two members of the cast of Avengers.

Yeah in your pictures she looks perfect. I agree i hope they get to the last two members of the avengers also. Yeah the likeness is really good.

Hey, guys! I just wanna share my review of the BAF here :) Still don't know much about Space Venom or anything before the All New, All Different launch but might try soon.

I know I'm seriously in the minority here, but Spaceknight Venom is one of my most anticipated figures, both for the character and the toy. He looks great, and amazing articulation. I can't wait.

Has anyone heard rumors about BBTS canceling orders for the X-Men wave?

Haven't heard that. I wonder if they just didn't get enough stock in to cover the orders. Not so worried about mine personally, it's due to arrive tomorrow, but that sucks for those who preordered and would be cancelled.

I knew the demand for this wave was going to be strong.

warmachine6 07-08-2016 12:12 PM

this is good news in way if that is the case i think BBTS should order more from hasbro if they can, it would knock hasbro into sense in selling an x-men wave more often , their are fans who know the the x-men through comics and not just through films
but if id toys does get stuff from BBTS and the rumor is true , i will be annoyed
